In this age of AI generated "facts." it's impossible to find sources of facts that I trust any more. All I know is what I saw. I forget the year, but it was a sunny day in San Jose, CA, 1 week before Easter. I'm out riding my pushbike, clear blue skies, then one after the other, planes started laying out what we call chemtrails. In a matter of a couple of hours the sky was white, not a bit of sunshine getting through.

Some years back, there was some exceptionally heavy-handed moderation on ThaiVisa which resulted in a large number of members migrating to Thaiger. There was even a TV mod who was removed for actively stalking members and handing out ridiculous time-outs because of his personal political beliefs. At that time, I moved to Thaiger and became a mod. I was happy to see the direction it went. Then the same heavy-handed garbage seeped into Thaiger. I left (as far as I know, I still have an account there but want nothing to do with that site). And NOW I hear they're joining forces here at AN? Hmmm . . .

Like I said, just looking for an argument.

Teasing and arguing is ok, but far too many members get downright nasty. As I posted above, my "ignore" list is growing, and I really don't like putting members in there.

I have to weigh in here. After a decades-long hiatus, I bought a gram, asking the seller for the mildest they had in their shop. Opened fine for me. It was all in Thai with only two options, clicking left option took me to what looked like a registration page. Clicking right option took me to some generic page. Chrome, Win 10, two adblockers (don't tell AN!).

Well, these lemmings march our salaries to the bank and sail our boats on that sea. I used to manage NT SQL and Oracle Enterprise servers. I played around with Linux and found it to be a toy, useful to only those who had the time to waste. We had productivity to maintain. I'm glad you are happy with Linux. An obviously myopic and unrealistic statement. I've taught using M$ and Apple (only because I had to for the sake of connecting with my misguided students). Most of what I do is M$-based, as is the majority of software available world wide.

For the life of me, I can't figure out WHY anyone would use Windows 11. I tried - I bought a laptop that wouldn't accept a Windows 10 install, so I tried to accept Win 11. EVERY task took 2-6 more steps to accomplish and some of my basic favorite features (task bar on top being a major one) weren't even possible. THEN I tried doing a Win 10 install AFTER a successful Win 11 install and LORD ALMIGHTY - I got my OS back! All I can say is, "Shame on you, Micro$oft!"
