  1. Yes it's a lot cheaper than most cars but it's also a lot of hassle charging in a condo. Assuming MG 4 efficiency of around 6km/kWh I estimate 1.2 baht/km But a Toyota Yaris Ativ has a very efficient petrol engine (23.3km/L) which works out around 1.7 baht/km with the current high price of oil. If gasohol goes back down to around 30 baht then the running cost should be roughly the same. Obviously for those with cheaper home charging an EV makes a lot more sense.
  2. Thanks for the info, that makes more sense and 7 baht/kWh seems a bit expensive for slow charging at home. No wonder hardly anyone uses it, especially considering the hassle of moving the car when finished to avoid overtime fees of 100 baht/hr. I guess I'll have to move to a house before buying an EV.
  3. I'm trying to figure out the cost of charging at my condo before considering an EV. The ReverSharge app just says it's type 2, AC and 50 baht per hour but it doesn't say the power output. Juristic staff are useless as they told me it's DC but they eventually sent me a photo of the specifications. Looks like it's 22kW which would equate to 2.27 baht per kWh which seems unusually cheap...can anyone confirm?
  4. The pink line has been "almost" finished and on the verge of opening for years now. It's almost as if they don't want to finish it and they are dragging it out as long as they can. Private businesses seem get things done in no time (be it condos or malls) but anything government related takes forever.
  5. That's what I thought....if anything they should be paying you to take it.
  6. This is what happens when you don't use enough tape ????
  7. It looks super narrow, tiny battery (20kWh) and only 47 kW (63 hp; 64 PS) which makes the Neta V look good at 38.5 kWh, 95 hp respectively.
  8. Looks like a hybrid? So both EV and ICE haters should be happy...
  9. Have any MG4 owners here looked at the undertray? There seems to be a minor defect: https://www.mgevs.com/threads/mg4-undertray-dip-bulge.7796/
  10. Now that promotion is a dolphin killer. Competition is only a good thing for consumers.
  11. How much are they raising the price by? I expect sales will fall off a cliff after...
  12. I don't think those are supposed to be very safe for humans.
  13. The top gear review of the dolphin isn't very favourable either (with some caveats) and they gave the MG 4 a 9/10. https://www.topgear.com/car-reviews/dolphin/first-drive
  14. I just looked up the charging stations at my local Central on PlugShare and it seems quite expensive: On-ion, Pile E12-G12, 60 THB/hr, 7kw 60THB/hr, fractional will be counted as full hour
  15. Are you in Pattaya by any chance? Saltwater corrosion can be dangerous in older buildings. If it's your balcony I guess it's your responsibility.
  16. It's not just the colours on the dolphin (pink, purple and cream) but the shape of the car is not very sporty at all. I like red cars but that isn't available on the dolphin. Grey is the only colour available that looks alright but I much prefer the look of the MG 4.
  17. I think the answer depends on your gender....I mean look at the choice of colours on the Dolphin for a start.
  18. It may be a lot cheaper but the yellow line is a joke compared to the Elizabeth line: "The Elizabeth line, which in total serves 41 stations running 100km east to west across the city through 42km of new tunnels, includes 10 new central London stations and the upgrading of 31 existing stations." Whereas the yellow line is just a 30km monorail. The reason it's so cheap is because they built it above ground (using cheap migrant labour) to unleash the ongoing traffic nightmare and eyesore monstrous concrete stations. The pink line is the same and delayed even more.
  19. I had to use cash yesterday as the Thai banking network still always crashes on payday in the evening.
  20. And here I thought monks weren't allowed to drive ????
  21. Ironically Thailand has a very strict blood alcohol limit. She wouldn't have been over the limit in the UK or USA (both 80mg).
  22. I had the opposite experience with doctor Umaphorn about 5 years ago. She was unfriendly, didn't even give me a physical examination and said I couldn't possibly have prostatitis because I didn't have any pain in my prostate, I only had pain in my urethra. I think she told me to see a neurologist, prescribed gabapentin and I never saw her again. Since then I've seen many urologists and they all agree it's chronic prostatitis but it hasn't responded to any antibiotic treatment. I'll have to give fosfomycin a try soon.
