  1. Now I'm worried about that other 3%....what's going there?
  2. Beer Type Typical Sugar Content (330ml) Light Lager 0.1–1.0 g Regular Lager 0.5–3 g Wheat Beer 2–4 g IPA 2–6 g Stout or Porter 4–7 g (sometimes more) Non-alcoholic Beer 5–15 g
  3. Agree with BritMan....don't ever do that again. Get a camera, front and rear...essential. Drive like they will do that all the time. On long stretches I drive behind a vehicle doing a decent speed and sit there...... better they have a head on than me. I drive about 10 mins a day and have four near misses a week.
  4. Had the same problem and had to get mine from immigration......but maybe others will suggest something easier.
  5. Political turmoil, surging NPLs, household debt at an all time high, friction at the border, potential military coup, facing Trump's tariffs and the Thai baht does this?
  6. People might argue......but it is still dirt cheap to live here compared to the UK.......especially if you have rentable property or properties back in the UK/US covering your living costs here. I doubt our fixed outgoings are more than 40,000 baht pm all in.
  7. Word of warning, though I think your case is different. I had crackling sounds in my ear......turned out to be the tiny hairs in the cochlea dying as the result of a viral attack. Went stone deaf over a period of ten days.......no post treatment.....also left me with horrendous tinnitus. I was prescribed massive doses of steroids, but too late to save my hearing.
  8. Yes.... I hate the stuff.......stinks to high heaven.
  9. Very kind. Back in the UK for 10 weeks seeing kids and grandkids.......then a vicious bout of Covid for my troubles. Still have a chest infection after a month recuperating......but bouncing back. Cheers.
  10. Sack half of them and double the pay for those deemed fit to serve.
  11. The CDC site outlines multiple large epidemiological studies and reviews showing no association between thimerosal and autism or neurodevelopmental issues. So why get stressy about an article that doesn't cite any articles?.......massive misdirection. .
  12. For what it costs I always get a multiple entry......then you have no worries or possible hassle at all. Get a seat with a bulk head behind you, middle row, aisle seat and the seat next to you.......or 11A
  13. Similar to what you are already doing. I have everything UK related assigned to my son's address, he has limited power of attorney. If push came to shove I'd pay his water bill so I have evidence of being resident.....I'm also on the electoral role and attend the local GP surgery once of twice a year. Job done.
  14. I fail to see how this is going to help any. With demand now reduced to medical prescriptions only, the farmers and flashy ganja shops are still doomed.
  15. 1. Texas v. United States (DACA) Judge: Andrew Hanen (appointed by George W. Bush) Action: In 2021, Hanen blocked President Biden’s attempt to renew DACA (Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals). Impact: Prevented new applicants from enrolling in the program, leaving hundreds of thousands in limbo. Pattern: Hanen has been used repeatedly as a venue by conservative attorneys general due to his hostility toward Obama-era immigration actions. 2. FDA Mifepristone Ruling Judge: Matthew Kacsmaryk (appointed by Trump) Action: In 2023, he issued a nationwide ruling suspending the FDA’s decades-old approval of mifepristone, a widely used abortion pill. Impact: Threw into question national access to medication abortion. Controversy: Critics said the ruling was ideologically driven, not grounded in credible medical science or precedent. 3. Affordable Care Act (ACA) Challenges Multiple judges, including Reed O’Connor (appointed by George W. Bush) Action: O’Connor ruled the ACA unconstitutional in 2018 after the individual mandate penalty was set to zero. Impact: Threatened to dismantle Obamacare entirely until the Supreme Court reversed the trajectory. Pattern: Conservative judges repeatedly entertained ACA challenges after the law was upheld by the Supreme Court. 4. Nationwide Injunctions Against Biden Immigration Policies Judges: Again, many in Texas, including Kacsmaryk and Tipton (Trump appointee) Actions: Blocked Biden’s attempts to reverse Trump-era immigration policies such as Title 42 expulsions, asylum limits, and enforcement priorities. Venue Shopping: GOP state attorneys general often filed in districts with known conservative judges to ensure favorable rulings. 5. Student Loan Forgiveness Programs Judge: Mark Pittman (Trump appointee) Action: In 2022, he ruled that Biden’s student loan forgiveness plan was unconstitutional. Result: Helped freeze the plan before SCOTUS struck it down. Legal Critique: Many analysts noted a lack of direct harm to plaintiffs, suggesting questionable standing but favorable ideology. 6. COVID-19 Vaccine and Mask Mandate Challenges GOP-appointed judges (especially Trump’s) issued multiple injunctions against Biden administration mask, vaccine, and testing mandates for: Federal contractors Health care workers Private employers (OSHA mandate)
  16. ....and therein lies the problem......the thinking should be done for them by democratically elected servants of the public.
  17. Not Jomtien, Chaiyaphum, but had our first home visit in March. Married for 20 years, so they are obviously worried it is all a sham. Guy was very pleasant, sat and chatted in the restaurant for1 0 mins, offered him a meal and drink.....both refused. He seemed almost apologetic.
  18. Relief must now be tailored to the named plaintiffs—protecting only those who brought the suit—unless broader coverage is needed to ensure their complete relief ......whatever that means??
  19. A classic example, certainly for foreigners, of the dangers of investing here........right down to 'never buy only rent'.
  20. Casinos, nuclear power stations, submarines, ganja, coups, space program, Anutin, Shinawatras, Dusty Miller in charge of Education ...........just a few of the things Thailand can do without
  21. "I flew to Bangkok to visit Thaksin. He was not ill at all," Hun Sen said. "But when it came time to take photos, he asked for props -- a neck brace, an arm brace -- to appear unwell. As soon as the photos were done, he removed them and went to dine. That's not illness, that's theatre. Thai people already have suspicions. I'm only confirming what many have thought, because both Thaksin and his daughter, Paetongtarn, are acting in bad faith." Hun Sen further claimed that Ms Paetongtarn was fully aware that her father was not genuinely unwell, yet she still took part in deceiving the Constitutional Court. He also stated that Phnom Penh governor, Khuong Sreng, could serve as a witness to the staged illness, along with several Thais who were present at the time. That ain't so hidden.
  22. As I understand it this ruling only prevents federal judges from issuing nationwide restrictions. State by state restrictions will continue unimpeded where cases are brought and granted.
  23. With no evidence whatsoever......the biggest culprit in my mind seems to have been the advent of smart phones and social media.
