    Agree. As I drive around and see the totally ridiculous behaviour on the roads I just mutter to the wife........I Thai, I want to die. I refuse to allow her relatives in the car now as they will not wear safety belts...????

    I've looked at that a few times in the past......the prices quoted were astronomical. Your best bet is to work the sailing and get paid for the trip......accommodation, if you go, is very, very basic.

    Not too bad for me....I have my own property, do house sits and visit all the kids and grandkids......quite a little jolly for me....plus clean air.

    The air is infinitely better in the UK, even in central London.....I live in the middle of the sugarcane fields here and it is horrendous AQ.

    I only bring in about 10k GBP each year......I'm married to a Thai and think I can gift her some of that (well I gift her all of it every year if the truth be known) I'm 68 so I'm hoping my liabilities will be minimal.

    Same in Isaan.....cars as well, frequently have no lights front or rear. Some on bikes might tie a torch on the front or wear a head torch.

    My eldest daughter...42.....had braces fitted....for 12 months (I think) and she now has to wear a guard for umpteen hours a day to stop the teeth from moving back to where they were. About 6000 GBP in total (UK prices)....but her teeth do look very good and totally natural.....not 'Hollywood'.

    I came across a girl buried up to her neck on the beach. She asked me to help her...... I said...what's in it for me?.....She said sand.

    When I first moved here I asked the wife...... when are the kids allowed to ride a motorbike?.........she said as soon as they stop falling off. I see them as young 10yo hammering along, flat out ......three have died in the past 12 months.

    Going back to the UK January-April. I'll be spending my hard earned pennies there.....not in this god forsaken place.

    I went to see Jimmy Carter 76/77 in the UK. Every roof top had agents on them as far as the eye could see. We were told they had arrived a week before Carter's address to assess security.
