    Got to confess I am close to calling it a day.........noise, air pollution, badly behaved neighbours........going back to the UK this spring to visit and may well not return, other than for holidays. The only tolerable months of the year for me are October, November, December

    Just had mine repainted in the UK. The guy sanded down all the plaster work with a huge sanding m/c.....then painted with primer and top coat........looks really good. He said that the sanding was essential to clean the surfaces properly before painting.....could have been lying of course.
