    All I can think as an argument against that is that it is due to their total, undying love of paperwork and convoluted procedures.....in triplicate....... and we just happen to be the victims

    I think you are correct.....but until the wife had 'our' house built (without telling me) we have always rented or lived in hotels.

    I have no idea what evidence we presented before.....I guess it was based on the extension application....but you could put any address for that.....assuming they don't visit to check.

    The TV market is cut throat and innovations abound......as a consequence once the novelty value of an innovation has worn off deflation is the name of the game....hard to imagine what the next step-change might be.

    I think we were living in BKK at the time and it came back in a day or two....no idea what we paid.....and we never used it....covid hit, then the passport ran out...!!!!

    I've often wondered about those amazing tailor's shops all over BKK....prime spots, all decked out in marble......never seen a single customer.....are they all laundering money?

    I had my old passport done by, or through, a little office on Sukhumvit soi 13....... near the Trendy Building......

    I reckon if the Thais want to go ahead with this they should contract the Las Vegas and Macau mafia to run the casinos....they know exactly how to control and manage everything.

    My worst one was like two days...six hours of driving.....we had to take three sets of neighbours to be interviewed before a they would issue a marriage extension.....and we had been married for 14 years...????

    Cheers...wife has been to the Amphur....we need my passport validating in BKK, then it has have an MFA translation......I really am not fussed about doing this.....not sure why she has a bee in her bonnet about it.

    Forgot to mention......two trainees stood behind the IO were casting their eyes to heaven......and later said to the wife people come in everyday requesting the certificate.
