  1. Will need to move............ we are over an hour's drive each way.
  2. The most daunting task being what? Where to hide all the money? Or How to avoid being investigated for corruption?..........I doubt the most daunting task on their minds is how best to serve the population of Bangkok.
  3. Wouldn't disagree. We had a (I think) a good one, much cheaper than you quote, but she was based in Chaiyaphum. After years of doing visas for the wife, I got fed up last time and just handed everything to the agent.......and then with covid we never ßloody used the visa.
  4. Just get 30 days....no one will question it once the Thai pass is issued.......2000 baht or so.
  5. Estimated to be around 9 million stray dogs in Thailand......absolutley ludicrous situation.......but I would put my shirt on the situation either never changing or only ever getting worse.
  6. I am still in a WhatsApp group of UK teachers. They were very disheartened by it all......not unusual to have, maybe 2 out of 25 in a class complete any tasks.
  7. Cut the middle man out and book direct. I used Citrus Hotel soi 11........Reservations were very responsive, very helpful. Hotel is a little run down, but everything ran very smoothly from the get go.
  8. As someone suggested I would definitely use a 'good' agent. Go ahead and apply, but why tell them you have only known each other for three months? Or you could do what I did and get married (after just three days).......still married after 16 years).
  9. Online learning in the UK has been very ineffective.. I imagine it must have been significantly less effective here as it depends very much on proactive parenting.
  10. I wholeheartedly agree with the OP. Last time I went I did ask for a complete check list for the particular IO I was using.........it was far from complete and I had still to make two trips.
  11. Although, statistically, a single flip would result in a 50/50 chance of one side or the other coming up (not strictly true as coins will occasionally land on their edge), the laws of probability do not guarantee that a limited series of flips will result in anything like a 50/50 distribution. Your statement that "the game was clearly fixed" can only be inferred and should not be taken as a statement of fact. I'm only joshing because it is you, Liverpool Lou, by the way.
  12. Hi, I've been back in the UK for three months. The wife 'claims' it has been quiet when she has visited.....but she would say that to try and keep me calm. Crunch time is approaching.....being fully tiled this week, windows and doors next......so we are getting closer to moving in......fingers crossed.
  13. This is one scary thread to read....just as our house is approaching completion. I think I will try to locate an 'expert' to double check all the electrics!!!!
  14. Mmmm.....I thought the same, in which case the next date should be start of May. I will sort it out when I go back for my extension....cheers
  15. I wonder how many people are murdered by some kind of drug or poison shortly after having the jab?
  16. If the aircon and engine were not running I wouldn't leave any living thing in a car/van for even a second.....never mind a child as I just 'nip' into a shop.
  17. In my case they just crossed out my last 90 day report date and wrote in a new date........ the same date as for my new extension? My last 90 day should have been Jan 29, but I was in the UK and returned Feb 4.....does that sound correct?
