I’m sure you’re right, but you should tell the banks, as they all seem to list the limit and the available credit separately.

i consider all three banks i am dealing with to be stupid banks. but none of them is that stupid. could it be that your banks refer to a single transaction or daily limit that differs from available total credit?

No, it depends on your available credit, yes?

The limit means nothing if the card(s) are maxed out.

I’ve never had any trouble getting treatment with a credit card at hospitals, and I’ve had some chunky bills.

Bumrungrad and Bangkok Hospital both often offer 5-10% discounts with Citibank Visa...

the available credit is your limit.

In this case I am using celebration to mean putting something on display for others to admire and enjoy.

Putting up the images of nazi scum in this manner qualifies.

    From Collins dictionary

    2. singular noun

The celebration of something is praise and appreciation which is given to it.

This was not a memorial service but a celebration of his life. [+ of]

He sees the poem as a celebration of human love.

    Synonyms: commemoration, honouring, remembrance

    yawnnnnn...

This is, in my view, a case of stupidity and ignorance over any attempt at malice or anti-semitism.

However, this is not the first time this kind of idiocy has occurred but it should be the last. A few years back I had a Thai language teacher goose-stepping around the classroom; he was a good guy with no idea at all of how truly offensive he was acting. It is time for Thailand to educate its people on the evils of Nazism, the symbols of the holocaust, and the reasons why they are so utterly offensive to so many.

A deep, sincere and public apology is needed, along with a meaningful effort to educate Thais on the past; this kind of thing should never happen again.

    It is sickening.

not sickening but ridiculous is that you associate "goose-stepping" with being offensive. for your information this kind of marching is used even nowadays in the armed forces of more than a dozen countries. the origin of the goose-step goes back 250 years (Prussian military) and if you associate it with Nazi-Germany you are just  ignorant.

That would always be helpful . Am I right in thinking that the American Medicare insurance would continue if you decide to upsticks and move to Thailand ? I know my general health plan here covers me when I go to Thailand just the same as it would do in America .

i can't comment on Medicare as i'm a German having German private health insurance (worldwide coverage without restrictions).

I know it’s not possible in all situations but if I was an old timer and I needed medical treatment surely it would be cheaper and wiser to just jump on a plane home ? You will get much better treatment and will not bankrupt you .

unless you have a proper (non-Thai) health insurance.

The dreams are free but there are bills other than the Hard Brexiteer refusal of the EU exit payment. The 'Nissan Factor' for starters. Whatever happened to that 350 million a week saving claim? Out of the window. Notice now it has mutated into 'A Price Worth Paying'. Bottom line is that the Hard Brexiteer project doesn't care about the economics impact of withdrawal from the EU. Its on a nationalist roll. Always has been really, just that its otherwise pretences are dropping by the wayside.

the "£350 million a week savings LIE" should be justification enough for a new referendum.
