  1. Can't wait to watch this disaster movie unfold. Watch the smiles wiped off the Pattaya suitcase pinps who are bouncing all over youtube thinking the hordes are returning to their bars. Priceless.
  2. Your quoted an exact annual figure. Where's the link to that figure?
  3. That's being reported in another Bangkok publication. I noticed the use of the word 'hope' as well. I get the feeling many will see how the situation develops over Q4 and even Q1 2022. I am aiming for July 2022 but who knows what the Thai government will get up to. How can you plan international long haul trips on 'should', 'hope' and 'maybe'. Singapore are opening up to the UK and a number of other countries but they are still talking about masks and social distancing. I read elsewhere that the COE's maybe used to limit the amount of tourists. Although to be honest you couldn't pay for this soap opera.
  4. *Deleted post edited out* I may well be wrong. No one knows. Australia certainly has become more realistic. Thought New Zealand where adopting a zero covid policy. It depends on how the Thai government react to any pressure on their health care system. To be fair, there does not seem to be the same vaccine hesitancy as the west and most Thai's want a vaccine.
  5. I don't believe any figures produced by the Thai government. Sorry.
  6. Thailand is aiming for 70%. https://www.reuters.com/business/healthcare-pharmaceuticals/thailand-aims-vaccinate-70-people-by-september-2021-05-19/ That article says 70% by September. It's the 9th October and 30% fully vaccinated. Useless as usual, Thailand never let's you down. That's not so great.
  7. Ring walk 4am Sunday UK time. Fury is a vastly superior boxer but i have a horrible feeling he has been distracted by Joshua losing. One drop of concentration and Wilder could KO him. Knowing that mega fight won't be happening anytime soon. I ike Fury. Very open about his mental health issues and apparently shops at his local ASDA and totally unaffected by fame. Ricky Hatton was a frequent visitor to Thailand before the pandemic.
  8. Just heard Calum Semple, one of the UK government sage advisers, saying that the herd immunity level is at least 85%.
  9. Yes, my local community pharmacist is no doubt making the cases up. As is my local hospital doctor who is equally as cautious. Well aware there will be a booster campaign. Unfortunately, each individual will have differing immunity lengths. Anyway, let's see what happens going forward.
  10. It's the first hand experience of a local health care professional not a MORI poll. It is well known the efficiency of the vaccines wane and over 9 months since the start of the UK vaccination campaign.
  11. Was speaking to my local pharmacist here in the UK yesterday. He was telling me about a large number of health care nurses, double jabbed, who have been getting seriously ill for weeks after catching covid. These nurses were double jabbed 9 months ago but the vaccine protection has waned. The majority not hospitalised but very sick, off work for weeks and long covid symptoms. Anyone who thinks this horror show is finishing anytime soon is fooling themselves.
  12. Trust you to befriend someone who post's factually incorrect information. You were made for each other. BA, Thai or Eva from London? What's the pricing like @Kadilo? You booked for the end of the year?
  13. Still no apology or acknowledgement that you posted incorrect information. More deflection and personal insults. It's pathetic.
  14. Priceless. The poster still thinks Thailand has been helping it's people.
  15. Is the location a secret? All these posters who invested in Thailand and big it up but no one is brave enough to tell us where they are. Don't be shy.
  16. https://reliefweb.int/report/world/uk-begins-donating-millions-covid-19-vaccines-overseas-0 And Brian's post? Note the UK was also an early supporter of COVAX. Thailand wouldn't agree to get vaccine's from COVAX and now, nearly a year after the first UK vaccinations, Thailand has only 30% of it's population vaccinated. Even that number is doubtful because they gave people one of the Chinese vaccines to start with. I look forward to you posting a link that show's Thailand helping other nations. Get googling.
  17. We are talking about condos. If you mean knowing expats, business owners and people with 30 plus years experience of Thailand then guilty as charged. Give us some examples of currently increasing prices in property in Pattaya. More importantly, what percentage of the total market do these gems represent.
  18. When's your return date to Thailand? If your so confident, put your money where your mouth is. I thought not. Radio silence.
  19. How can you take anyone seriously on this forum who doesn't know that the UK and US donated vaccines to third world countries like Thailand?
  20. https://london.thaiembassy.org/en/content/a-testimony-of-friendship-trough-covid-19-vaccine?cate=5d6636c215e39c3bd0006cb5 Not a good start for your uneducated bitter rant. The AZ vaccine was sold at cost around the world. A non-profit making vaccine. The rest of your post is equally uneducated and wrong. The UK has a far older and more vulnerable population than Thailand. Lives in totally different urban settings during winter and autumn. Thailand does 40,000 tests a day, compared to the UK's 1 million. No one believes Thailand's figures. Yes, if you own assets in the UK, you can turn it into gold. Gold that's increasing at 10% plus per annum. ????
  21. Don't worry, no one wants to come. Everything is still shut and only 30% of Thailand's population is fully vaccinated. UK is 80% plus fully vaccinated and totally open.
  22. UK government funded the AZ vaccine that will help save third world countries (Thailand). UK government donated said vaccine to Thailand and other third world countries FOC. UK government helped their citizens and businesses through the pandemic. Now the economy and restrictions have been lifted, these businesses are resuming trading and paying wages and taxes. This has kept unemployment levels low. Buoyant housing market (for those of us who still own properties in the UK) recording capital increases of 10% a year. What has Thailand done for the world or it's citizens during the pandemic?
