  1. Been to almost every province, with exception to the festive bottom 3 or 4 southern gulf side provinces.
  2. Makro had them (฿139), along with the hash browns.
  3. Haven't had tater tots, in probably 40+ yrs ...
  4. All nice ones. Just to add to the Nan area, bit more specific, for Nan-Bo Kluea-Pua on hwy 1081, and one of the best. Though probably not as many restaurants of the other 2 options. Khao Kho area in Phetchabun is excellent. If in the area, hwy # 4232, Nakhon Si Thammarat worth the slight detour from the main that bypass it, heading S or N.
  5. Interesting question, as that would suck if applicable. Maybe someone who cares might chime in with the answer.
  6. For us, without the EVs, it would be a 8-10 ROI, and we abuse the AC pretty good. If just me, agree, lucky to break even, if I live another 6-8 years, but the wife is 22 yrs younger. So more for her, than myself. Though spiteful person that I am, probably would do anyway, just to free myself of PEA We don't have any power outages here or even roaming brown outs, unlike when we lived in Udon Thani area, in which we would have, just for that reason. At least a small system.
  7. Here's a typical sunny day, input/output, which was hard to find, us not charging one of the EVs, or out & about. March 11th 2023, so assuming we were using both ACs, 24 & 13 BTU (inverters). Production/Consumption (blue/red), and batteries topped up by 1000hrs, so only producing to supply house load beyond 1000hrs. Spikes are cooking, possibly some clothes washing. shower (3.5kWh or less) but no constant draw of electric, besides ACs. Once up to temp, they / ACs don't draw much. Total for the day was P 17.7kWh / C 17.5kWh. We don't have East facing panels, why no excess to the batteries, till after 0730 or 0800hrs.
  8. Ibis chain (not Styles) is pet friendly, up to 10kg pet. No pet charge. Have hotels at Phuket (Kata), Krabi (Ao Nang), Hua Hin (Nong Kae), and we've stayed at all 3. Saying that, if you can get a trustworthy sitter (we can't), then that would be better for the pet, as it will be restricted to the room, most of the time, and there isn't a lot of 'green areas' at tourist locations. Many municipal parks are not pet friendly. National parks aren't pet friendly, and it's brutally hot outside, at times, for pet to be hanging out at the beach with you, if longer than an hour or so. If stopping at Krung Thep, then we prefer Ibis BKK Riverside, vs Sathorn or Soi 4. Join Accor membership as convenient booking. No real savings, but don't have to prepay, and can cancel up to day of, without penalty. Most other booking sites require prepayment.
  9. I suspect we may get a sample of her as President, if Biden can't finish this term. Seems everyone is questioning his ability now. They have nobody to offer up on the 2024 ticket besides her, which would satisfy those wishing for a 'progressive' mixed race female as President. It's going to be a very sad, but comical as hell 2024 election
  10. Think they could lower that number of panels if using higher spec'd panels. We only have 18, and enough to run the house and recharge our 20kWh of batteries. Batteries usually topped up between 1000-1200hrs, unless crappy out. Using 6 or 7kWh overnight (14 hrs), w/ AC & air purifier, on in the bedroom the whole time, along w/2 frigs. Laptops & 65" TV till midnight or beyond.
  11. You can pay ฿500k, or more, but there certainly isn't any need to. Our system cost ฿445k, installed, 8kWh inverter w/20kWh of ESSs/battery. Basically off grid, though still conx to PEA, costing <฿30 a month, JIC. Our system is probably one of, if not the most expensive (per kWh), of AN members that DIY'd it. Could have easily knocked about 100k off if DIY, maybe, even more so with the price drops the last 1.5 yrs. Our ESSs were a large chunk of the cost @ ฿185k (90 & 95k). Looks as though (from OP), could have knocked 75k off just that part of the install. System provides just enough on the crappiest days, and when sun is shining, can charge the EVs, and probably run a neighbors house, if we had neighbors Will easily produce 50kWh a day. We've used as little as 350 kWh a month, and more than 1000 kWh a month.
  12. Nice ... been thinking about pancakes the past couple days myself. Have a flavorless pancake mix I sample, falling under, "you get what you pay for" ... or ... "stick with what you know ... idiot". Also have a bunch of pandan powder to test out ... 2 birds with one stone
  13. Especially when you don't have to ...
  14. This from a guy who's country still has a whole class of people (Dalits) called 'untouchables' As many as 200 million, and more than most country's whole population.
  15. Credible links ... how's MaliOnline - seems acceptable as used often on AN. A bit tabloid-ish IMO ... then there's the BBC - MSM echo box Wow, same story line, they must be part of the RT propaganda machine also. In disguise, who would have thought
  16. WSJ article has Harris stating 'she's ready to lead the county, if Biden can't', and actually stated that, before the lack of memory report was released. hmm ... maybe a heads up of what's to come
  17. All news is nothing but Op-Eds now, and all bias ... IMHO
  18. What's your excuse for previous administrations
  19. Depends how far that U-turn is away from the one they 'missed', but no shoulder. I would have moved to the left until I got to the U-turn. Actually, on something that lite, I would have simply 'jaywalked' it, as possibly the safer bet, illegal or not. Safety is more important. Looking at the OP photo, doesn't seem to be a lot of traffic.
  20. I did notice a mod/news posting admin members using, so guess it's save for us to use. Was actually surprised, as I've had RT links deleted before. Why I avoided many discussions, as what would be the point. Maybe the censorship of alternative thoughts have stopped. I consider MSM nothing but propaganda, so letting both sides get the POV out would be only fair, unless someone can prove what is posted is false. Why I add .... IMHO ... to many posts. As a disclaimer, so if not agreeing with my opinion, then you might want to do your own research. Last time I checked, we're allowed to express opinions. Avoids all the silly request for a 'link to' as my links didn't pass approval Irrelevant, since most comment without reading links anyway, as this thread is proof of. Also why I avoid many discussion, as trying to have one with ignorant people is quite futile.
  21. We could run our whole house on that, 10kWh ESS ... IF being more conservatives and not as wasteful as we are now, with the ACs. We only added a 2nd ESS to prolong the longevity of our system's ESS/back up battery. @sirineou We use about 6 or 7 kWh overnight (14 hrs), which now is only <35%, instead of 65% of battery, which will extend the life of the batteries considerably. Wake up now to 65-70% batteries, instead of 35%. That's with AC use overnight in the bedroom. One less thing for the wife to concern herself about after I crap out. Price depends on DIY or having installed, and what components; better/longer (honored) warranties-maybe.
  22. As I stated, don't need to watch another anti RU view of the past, as I live in the present. Get enough of the MSM Anti RU BS right here. That people don't, didn't watch the 'Putin interview', simply exemplifies the ignorance of people, and success of western propaganda. How could anyone not want to hear the other side's POV. Weighing both ... one makes a lot more sense, and agrees with simple common sense thinking than the other. Along with matching the facts of present day, before they can be re-written to match the propaganda spin.
  23. I'm pretty sure he/RU could have done that a long time ago. That would mean a total invasion & occupation of, and I think most countries have learned that just doesn't work out very well for anyone. .... Afghanistan ... RU & USA/NATO ... Iraq ... Vietnam ... list is endless, from the beginning of time; Roman Empire, British Empire, Spanish Armada, all military and political failures to control others. The indigenous usually fight back & win. USA & NATO are slowly, hopefully learning that...or not apparently. CH seems to be the only one that builds relationships for mutual benefits instead of invading/occupying or economically threatening other countries ... IMHO China is burdened with trying to feed it's citizens, hence the battle over the nearby seas/fishing rights.
  24. Unless they were getting reading to make a right hand or U-turn, that is definitely the wrong place to be. And I don't see any shoulder or intersection ahead .... you can't fix stupid.
  25. Buddha forbid an alternative thought is proposed ... ... who would want a peaceful world, there's no profit in that
