  1. Really can't recommend this drive enough, (Hwy #1081), Nan-Bo Kluea-Pua-Nan.
  2. Quick note, using the MG ZS ... ... IF on one of them lovely mountain/hilly, winding roads, turn the cruise control OFF. You'll regen a lot more energy back to the battery. While cruising through the winding hills of Khao Kho last week, I notice we were using 5kWh/100kms. Pretty cool, and just about triples your range if living there. On the flip side of that, leaving Bo Kluea to Pua, on a flat area, had cruise control on, then while on the hills, up, down and around, noticed we were using 30kWh/100kms ... WTF. Turned cruise control off, and what a difference. At time I noticed and disengaged, had 51% battery and estimated 148 kms of range left. When off the hills and on the flats to Pua, had 58% & 165 kms of range left. Could almost see both adding up while driving. Some impressive tech, and worth every baht over an ICEV priced version.
  3. Just came back from there also, after a bit of a loop, Nan-Bo Kluea-Pua-Nan ... fantastic area as you say. Highly recommend to anyone who enjoys a nice ride, Hwy #1081. Give it a #1 rating, actually a must see / do, and best so far in TH, AFAIK On topic ... didn't look for or buy any milk ????
  4. Probably because the Taiwanese really don't care, and like things just the way they are. One party getting financial support to 'change' the minds, and it's not working ... IMHO Some would think, inclusive, all this is the typical stir up the doom & gloom scenarios from outside agitators, for their own financial (defense contracts) interests. A big nothing, except for headlines, as CH & Taiwan and too intertwined economically to change anything. Benefits nobody.
  5. Skipped most of the replies after firs couple. 7-11 had plenty of Meiji, thin on DutchMill, our preferred brand, but that's nothing new. DM doesn't seem to get much shelf space, ever. Bought some to hold me over for brekkie cereal tomorrow, before Makro run. Always have a box of UHT on hand, Jic.
  6. Returned from a short 10 day / 9 night O&A, using CSs. Some quick #s, to show the savings vs ICEV. Left house at 100% for 'us', so only 7.5 'paid' full charges, since using Solar at home. Others on PEA/MEA, ฿4 ish per kWh, so EV #s are on the negative side. Saved enough to either pay for 5 night of our hotels + some, or pretty much all our food. Explored non metro, non tourist areas. Full charge gives us 320 kms, from usable battery of 46.3kWh. Comparison of cost between MG ZS EV & ICE version, which we own & owned. Photo is self explanatory:
  7. I just did my 1st (completed) online, submitted 19th late afternoon, and got the approved email today @ 1827. Impressive actually. 1st time I submitted one, it was taking a week, and I did file it wee bit short on time, so cancelled and did in person. I enjoy my drive to Imm, but online was way too easy.
  8. Same with E85, Sept 2020 ish, and it was 29% cheaper than 91. Actually cast the same to go 100 kms, (MG ZS) using all 3 (91, (E20 or 95), E85), but performed just a wee bit better on E85, since designed for it. 11kpL vs 14kpL, E85 vs 91. Now they are almost same price, 36 ish to 37.5 ish. I keep on have to adjust my #s calculating the savings ... in a good way. Staying On Topic of course ... them damn CSs, actually easier to find than E85 petrol now ????
  9. Same attitude as myself. 67 million folks died last year, and (thankfully), I don't think I knew any of them. Didn't shed a tear or lose any sleep, let alone care or wonder how I could have helped in some way. People die and or get seriously injured. Sh!t happens ... oh well. I'll be a stat one of these days, and only 2 people will care, and that's fine.
  10. Weight of batteries have and will continue to come down drastically, specially if they can mass produce SS batteries. As @Bandersnatch stated, don't forget the 30kg of petrol (40L X 740gr), and I didn't add in below weights. Not much difference. EV torque makes up for any suspected 'weighted performance loss' Some weights, our MG ZS; 1570 kg Honda CX50 2199kg Honda CRV 1575 kg Honda Accord 1420 Toyota Camry 1501 Toyota Cross 1413 Toyota CH-R 1412 Benz 350 1715 (?)
  11. She might not be a she ????
  12. Isan food, not a fan myself
  13. Have a car, but use my motorcycle, almost daily, weather permitting, though don't rack up many kms. 22 ish months, and just now knocking on 5k kms. My usual daily ride is < 15 kms; home-park-along the surf-return.
  14. ditto for you anti EV'er. Except we speak of experiences. Bye Bye
  15. No confirmation at all, and completely disagree with your apples & oranges comparison. Have a nice day
  16. My food processor only cost 700 baht. Philips, maybe Makro or HomePro sold it. Makes great PB & will make bread, plus everything else it's suppose to. Have made bread with it, but use the stand mixer now. Food processor (you have) does the same thing. You don't need a specific machine, and why buy one that only does 1 task?
  17. disagree, and years means nothing. It's cycles, and how many kms you put on it, how you charge and maintain.
  18. For some reason 1200 cycles rings a bell in head. I get about 90kms per cycle, so 100k+ kms, before any real noticeable degradation, ball park.
  19. My DECO battery is about 22 months old, and hasn't missed a beat. Doubt if it degraded much, if at all. I expect many more years out of it, and may even outlast me. Experience wins over the bar stool theories.
  20. that wouldn't be a similar bike ... except it might have had 3 wheels. DECO Family 3 Battery Type LITHIUM Battery Battery Capacity 60v/20Ah Just another EV hit piece, and starting to get quite embarrassing
  21. didn't watch, but just the optics, isn't an average anyone, anywhere, that I've ever been.
