Thailand to Provide Free Internet Sim Cards to Disabled and Poor
Cardano replied to snoop1130's topic in Thailand News
I wonder who's going to buy the phones for the impoverished ones to put their free sim cards in. Of course the disabled millionaires will already have a few spare phones knocking about! -
That makes the 210 baht per hour remuneration even worse.

So assuming a hour for lunch that's 44hrs per week at 40,000 baht per month which equates to 210 baht per hour. Do you really thinke you will get an expat technical translator who is literally competent in Thai, Russian and English for such a paltry amount?

Yes.... but surely when you add in the single button mushroom cut in half, half a tomato, a slice of bell pepper and half a bulb of garlic to the 200g of cow meat you'll feel like you've eaten like a king and all for the amazing price of B1450+10%+7%, not bad for a starter!!

Early Check-In Coming to Suvarnabhumi Airport by February
Cardano replied to snoop1130's topic in Thailand News
There's always one doesn't read the opening post and subsequent threads but immediately launches into the stupid people and anti-Thai mentality and then try and convince everybody that the pointless idea is actually a good idea. The headline of the post is.... "Suvarnabhumi International Airport will begin offering an early check-in service by February. This new service allows passengers to check in up to 24 hours before their flight. The Transport Ministry announced this on social media, explaining that the goal is to make travel easier and to cut down on congestion at Thailand’s main international airport." Do you see any mention of luggage drop-off? And just for your information there are several luggage storage companies at the airport that have been in operation since the airport opened, about B100 per day. So to clarify; early check-in can be done online and only with the airline you booked with and baggage drop-off and storage has always been available. Like I said orininally it does not make any sense. -
Early Check-In Coming to Suvarnabhumi Airport by February
Cardano replied to snoop1130's topic in Thailand News
It still doesen't make any sense; airlines not airports offer early check-in online 24-48hrs before departure so why would you want to make an extra trip to the airport 24 hrs before just to drop off your luggage. It sounds like stupidity personified, which to be honest is not surprising for this country, they impliment ideas and withdraw them later when they go tits-up. -
Early Check-In Coming to Suvarnabhumi Airport by February
Cardano replied to snoop1130's topic in Thailand News
Dont know where this story originated from but it dosen't make any sense, it is the airline not the airport that determines whether there is online early check-in. It has been available for many years with many international airlines flying out of Suvarnabhumi. Maybe its a Thai Airways thing! -
whoo...seems someone's a bit sensitive today, however it's nice to see you've found where the full stop and the exclamation mark are located on your keyboard. did you use a compass?

47 minutes this morning from submitting 90 day online application to receiving "Approved" email. The quickest I've had previously has been 3 days. Well done Thai Immigration, can you try and apply the same ethos to the extension of stay procedures?

Just looked at the new Peugeot 408 GT 1.6L Hybrid, stunning car both inside and out, built under license in Malaysia and starts at a very reasonable B1.5m -
With that mentality I suggest you stay in your western world.
