Hi, I'm a city boy. We've always had fresh, clean water you could drink directly from the tap with plenty of pressure. But now we're in a small town out side Korat. We have two water sources: city government and moo ban systems both connected at the property wall. Feeds lawn outlets and a 1000-liter tank next to the house. We have a Polo brand PS130 Auto water pump feeding into the single-story house. https://wertome.en.made-in-china.com/product/RZUAJgFPaocT/China-PS130-Automatic-Booster-Vortex-Water-Pump.html The pump was installed about 3 years ago just before we bought the house. I assume they installed the cheapest they could find, possibly intended for agricultural use and not household. It makes a loud ticking sound in operation, and recently has started having a thumping noise on the slower cycles at the end of the operating cycle. I think the red canister at the top is some sort of pressure vessel? About 1 liter. When running, pressure is not constant, water stream spurts. It may be time to upgrade the system, was looking at something like this Hitachi XX series. https://www.lazada.co.th/products/hitachi-wmp-150-200-250-300-350-xx-series-10-i2939349763-s10785575259.html This one does have a bladder pressure tank, not sure of volume, perhaps 2 liters. They also have a version with a larger stainless pressure tank in the base, but I think this may be intended for use with a well, not for an external above-ground tank. https://www.lazada.com.my/products/hitachi-japan-100w-tank-type-shallow-well-water-pump-wt-p100xs-wtp100xs-i205974774.html What about a separate stainless bladder pressure tank (10-20 liters) installed between the pump and the house? Would that remove or reduce the water pulsation? https://www.lazada.co.th/products/diaphragm-pressure-tank-tara-vt-19-19-18-i2156028849.html Could anyone advise on options for small household with 1000-liter holding tank fed from public supply?

That model apparently resets to Chinese Mandarin script. This Youtube video tells you what to do. If that doesn't work, clerks in your local Samsung shop probably know how to work through the options. At least there you could look at a similar model and go through the icons to get to the language settings.

Further back, my 1981 Honda Prelude with a 50?-liter tank (13.2 gallons at 35mpg) had a range of about 750km.

Let's not forget they're also designed to block sun reflected from the sides, as well as the top, as riders are leaning forward in the drops. But I'll defer to your obviously better judgement and experience. So you can win the intertubes today. Hooray.

Some wear clear glasses, standard or cycling, to prevent debris falling into their eyes. Cycling sunglasses can then serve two functions. The point being cycling glasses are designed such that high temperatures are not problematic. Other than during periods of extremely high humidity, they are comfortable for long periods of high exertion. Surely wearing them while ambling down the sidewalk won't be uncomfortable.

My 4-cyl 2000 model Chevy S-10 pickup had a (converting to funky metrical numbers) 75-liter fuel tank with a driving range well over 500 km. I would expect fuel efficiency has progressed somewhat over the past quarter century.

Why not? Some cyclists wear them full time riding on black asphalt in the heat of Thailand.

Awesome footage repurposed as propaganda! This appears to be a movie set. The car appears to be a RAV-4. Thanks for playing. From location of reflectors and license, appears to be a first generation XA10. But this model "only available with a 2.0-liter inline-four." Maybe next time post footage of fields of abandoned EV's all over China, because the Chinese EV market is cratering...........'cause CCP.

Apparently, the Chinese already have German production technology, so they can deliver a German-designed engine. -

Sure. This will go well. As if it's not already frustrating enough to wait (im)patiently behind some fool that waits until his cartful of groceries to be rung up before digging through his manbag for his cellphone, then locates the correct app, then has to open and log on, then has to dig through scraps of paper to find his password...... Hub of waiting in line behind idiots.

Be careful what you wish for! If you refuse to do women's work, then your husband can legitimately refuse to do man's work. They YOU may become responsible for blowing your family income on lottery tickets and whiskey, and YOU may have to entertain all those bar floozies. Heck, you might even have to start beating yourself, as well.

Perhaps y'all shouldn't send y'all's kids into a condominium complex private tennis court if y'all don't live there. -

TM30 after 2 weeks
NoDisplayName replied to damole's topic in Thai Visas, Residency, and Work Permits
I'm not sure the date really matters for a simple immigration tourist visa (waiver?) extension. Important thing is to have a valid TM-30 when attending immigration. Folks arrive, travel all over the country, stay in many places. Some of those places will register the tourist, some will not. No way of telling how many reports have been made over the course of 2-3 weeks of traveling. As long as the tourist has the most recent valid TM-30, I'd bet on no problems at immigration. I don't believe an IO is going to waste time tracking down TM-30's for potentially a dozen hotels and guesthouses. -
