  1. But in case of a generator that can sit for years between usage, it’s well worth the hassle of finding E0. Back home I deal with small engines that customers let sit for long time, and we have waaay more problems now with E10. A small carbed motor is doomed to not start when you really need it if just turned off without preparations say a year ago,
  2. And about 3,5% higher energy content too, because E0 = no ethanol.
  3. And the font change didn’t help either… Not to mention the ”ink” issue too, for months the forum was barely readable, maybe ok for the younger guys with perfect vision but surely not for me haha
  4. Wife is happy she was wrong. But now we have a 2011-look alike year with fresh data saved from various points upstreams during the last month, so easier next time to predict about water level in our area.????
  5. My wife have some friends with seriuos debts from nothing, just bought some <deleted> on credit for 10-20 years… She dont understand why they never seems listen to her, she tried to explain 1000 times about the debt trap. One friend have made bankrupcy, next year she is finally free I am told. She had a mortgaged home too, which she was forced to sell at a loss of course, the balance didnt cover even half of her debts so she filed for bankrucy. That process took about 2 years. Then into a period of about 5 years can not own anything, had to rent a small rathole and drive for Grab with no official income. Now she starts to see the light at the tunnel.
  6. Wife told me that in 2011 the huge Phumipon dam was brimming early october, and had to open the gates around oct 10th. And that was the death knell for the already flooded southern lowlands when that water mass arrived later. Maybe you longtimers remember it differently? Today I read it is at 84% capacity, so some room left so far????
  7. Wife stocking up hundreds of blocks now, and cement bags too. May be difficult to get delivered later. She think water will rise significantly next week, both north and south of 305. Right now I sit overseas and watch the cams, feeling damn helpless
  8. That card thing sounds strange? I have never linked any card to my apple id, and can switch from danish to thai appstore and back, to download (free) apps. My bank apps works fine in both regions.
  9. This map was a good start when we looked for a house. But it doesn’t tell everything...
  10. And travel around in thailand without your own transport! Me too did that once upon a time, will never do that again
  11. To be safer you must look around carefully... like walking around inside village and looking for traces of 2011 floding in Pathum Thani. The pictured one, everything looked good and never flooded before. Never inundated. Guaranteed! Oh by the way can I look inside the garage please? Eeeeh okay....
  12. Agree with 1 to 4, but.... Nr 5, how can the poor courier prove that the reciever didn’t fiddle with the item, or swiftly changed it for an identical item that’s shot? The courier comes back to base with an opened package, and no paymant. A perfect setup for fraud... Courier and reciever could be brothers in scams????
  13. I think the bank will flat out refuse to reimburse the OP if the story is true... 1. The phone got stolen! 2. The thief managed to crack the pin to open phone!! 3. AND he cracked the bank app pin too!!!
  14. I Understand what you mean, I’ve always had some bikes in my home country, but now I only have an old 1100 which I drive in good weather. When I tell my bike pals I enjoy my small thai scooters as much as big bikes they don’t believe me haha
  15. That’s not my experience, I have exchanged quite a lot of old US bills left over from a car buying trip to the US some 10 years ago. Now 2022 I exhanged at green Superrich main office, Wasu Nana, and orange Superrich mainoffice. (No small boths, no banks) All bills more or less worn, and all of them old series 1990s to 2006 ones. Not new crisp ones, but I didnt bring bills with pen marks or stamps on them. Now last time Wasu didn’t give displayed rate for old ones anymore, only 32 vs about 32.75. But Superrich did????
  16. What model was that? An auto must have dual oil pumps for this to work, one on output shaft too. Very few cars, like some old Mercedes, have that
  17. Wife have a few 50 cm iron bars I cut from 12mm concrete rebar, and an aluminum baseball bat that’s all. No machetes, guns or big dogs. The iron bars are mainly for breaking padlocks of the decorative window bars, instead of crawling around in a smoke-filled house looking for keys in case of fire. I don’t like the window bars, but they make her feel safer when I am not there.
  18. Me too have a story. This happened when the Dreamliner was new into service, and the press reporting about various delays and problems with it. We sat at the gate waiting for boarding to bkk, the plane outside had landed in time about 3 hours earlier. And now delayed boarding because technincal problems we were told. We sat there waiting, looking out the windows down at the plane. Staff come and go in a hurry, desperate trying to fix some issue it seemed. Among us passengers I could hear jokes and talks about the Dreamliner problems. Finally, after about 2 hours waiting they told us they were repairing the seats. The seats! Ok we took off about 3 hours delayed, and during the aisle walk we could see some seats were labeled ”no seat”. The previous flight was from New York, must have been an extraordinary bumpy ride with very obese people in economy????
  19. In april I had a one day overstay, the officer didn’t say a word but wrote a small note in my passport, something about missing funds as far as I can translate it????
  20. The 0.01% fee come into effect from 17th jan, maybe it was not implemented everywhere? My wife wanted to wait for that date, long queues at land office haha
  21. I went there a few years ago, and I am not joking when I say the amount of foreigners probably outnumbered the locals… Hot springs jammed to the brim in the afternoon… so the place must to have something????
  22. I went there just before covid hit, plenty of lodging so easy to stay until next day.

    Roof Gutters

We have those thin galvanized gutters on our house, installed exactly 15 years ago, rusty in some spots but no holes yet. But I will replace them when I renovate and expand the gutter system, needs way more slope. Thanks for the link, my wife is a DIY person she always wants to know and learn how to do things
