    I stopped in Nana Plaza last night, the dispensary at the entrance to the plaza was temporarily closed, as was the cannabis smoking area. Waitress said it will be closed for 3 days until they can figure out what's happening.

    FYI: You can save several hours by taking a speedboat from Bang Bao on Koh Chang, takes 2 hours to Koh Kood instead of 6-7 hours going back to the mainland, but they never had life jackets when I took it. TiT

    I visited Koh Phi Phi during covid, it was very nice, 90% of the businesses were closed. I also visited Ko Lipe.

    You can take a prop plane from Chiang Mai, takes 25 minutes. People congregate around the man made lake in the middle of town when it cools in late afternoon. I took this shot at the temple overlooking town.

    There are only 2 bars in Mae Hong Son. I was having a drink in Crossroads bar when I noticed a couple young farang women across the street. I had seen them earlier in the day chugging large bottles of Chang. All of a sudden, one of them drops her jeans, squats and takes a pee in the street.

    When i cross the street as a pedestrian, it doesn't matter how many lanes there are, when the light switches to "don't walk" you have 3 seconds to get across (or go back) and often have to run like hell.

    Yes, I was there in the 90s. The biggest difference now is bars have better signage. Memories are skewed, you remember the best of times and forget the rest, things always seem to have been better before.
