Frozen pension policy turns British expat's dream into a nightmare
Photoguy21 replied to snoop1130's topic in Thailand News
It has been like that for years, this is nothing either new or news worthy. When you apply, assuming you are living overseas, they give you a rate and that never increases. It does increase if you live in a select few European countries but otherwise it is static. It is what is called discrimination by most people. -

Did it have a registration plate? I see many bikes here in Bangkok without them. -

Hospital in Bangkok Fined 100,000 Baht for Rejecting Injured Patient
Photoguy21 replied to snoop1130's topic in Bangkok News
The medical industry is just that, an industry. It is not there for the patient but only to make money. Just look at the medical services around the world. Greed, greed and more greed. They supposedly took the Hippocratic oath, or it is assumed they did, but obviously forgot about it as soon as they saw the money. The family of the patient should sue the hospital for millions. -
A HDD would be a rack of drives for that size. Samsung produced a SSD and that was costing something in the range ot GBP 16,000. Yes it has. Probably never had buys so didnt continue but they did produce one. It still begs the question why would you want such a large drive. If, and only you know why, you need so much capacity a storage bank would be better instead of a single drive.

Photoguy21 replied to georgegeorgia's topic in ASEAN NOW Community Pub
I am heavily into photography. I don't vlog but do have a Flickr account where I post my photos. Early morning and late afternoon are the best times. During the hours of dark when there has been rain always give some dramatic street photos as well. -
Heatwave Alert: Thailand Expects 43C Weather and Severe Summer Storms
Photoguy21 replied to webfact's topic in Thailand News
I would have thought, but maybe I am wrong, that the Thai people would be use to high temperatures before the rains come. Non-Thai's you would expect to have a few problems with hot weather but even they are really affected by it. Sure, it is hot but it always is just before the rains. Maybe it is me but it doesn't bother me too much. Had an 8km walk this morning which started at 10am. A bit of common sense will negate bad outcomes from the heat. -

Most are. The one in question may not be but that amount of sand shouldn't be a major problem -

Send some of these students to Gaza and see how they enjoy it. Israel retaliated to the strike made by Hamas. These students need to grow up. -

If the photo shows where he was stuck then he must be a poor driver. The Fortuna is 4 wheel drive and would handle that without missing a beat. -

Photoguy21 replied to Jaymatheson's topic in Jobs, Economy, Banking, Business, Investments
WISE do have limits. To Bangkok bank it think it is up to Baht 2,000,000 for a transfer. Kasikorn is less at around 1.5 million. The levels are on the WISE website. -
Lets hope they are right for all that buy an EV. It sounds very optimistic but good if they do last that long. I have heard and read more reports of the batteries needing to be replaced a lot quicker than that and a friend of mind had to replace the batteries in his EV just a few years after buying it from new.
