Extra-long weekend in Thailand: here’s what you need to know
You serious? In Thai local government? In ANY Thai government work? They only hire the most qualified people? And there was me thinking that you've been around Thailand for a while. Sheesh...

Don't be so harsh on yourself. It's OK not to be a lunchtime lush.

Mid-air drama: Unruly passenger instigates chaos on Thai Airways flight to Frankfurt
Reminds me of my first (and last) Aeroflot flight out of Don Muang many moons ago. Burly air hostesses shouting, "Hurry up! Sit down now!! We want to fly!!"

Social media is fawning over 19-year-old influencer Milla Sofia — but she's not even real
Just don't get that stuff in her eye. ...or yours.

Explainer: What does Hun Sen’s resignation mean?
So, in a nutshell, he's the cosseted "son-of-my-father" who is bereft of any honest, real-world life experience while possessing the social awareness of a peat bog.

Possible prostate issues or bladder problem?
I recently had a USG KUB (kidney, urethra, bladder ultrasound) procedure to identify a slightly high RBC count in a urinalysis. The urologist identified a single kidney stone so I will modify my diet and get a follow-up in 3 months time. Another urologist refused to do the USG KUB and insisted that a CT scan would be his first choice for making a diagnosis. Funnily enough, it was the cheaper government hospital urologist who was insisting on the more expensive CT scan whereas the more expensive private hospital urologist was happy with the lower cost ultrasound for a primary investigation. Posting this for the OP as it seems the ultrasound may be adequate for a 'first look' with CT scan follow up if merited? On another note, I am 66 and have been siting to pee for decades and I am still not German.

Extra-long weekend in Thailand: here’s what you need to know
There are subtle differences between national public holidays, government holidays and spurious days off pulled from their butts by a reviled, loser, "caretaker" cabinet under the illusion that the people will be thankful.

Would you take a gf to Pattaya?
Meh... 3-day no holds barred, deep dive, crash course is the way to properly evaluate your future long term mattress thrasher. If she hasn't begged off because she 'Have to go to temple' or 'I have key room my friend' or otherwise left you with blue balls, you've got yourself a keeper. Why wait until you've bought her a house before using a back door?

Would you take a gf to Pattaya?
There are neither brothels or prostitutes in Pattaya so just another member talking out their ass.

Would you take a gf to Pattaya?
Hah! You've obviously never been to the Klong Toei sums or else you wouldn't talk such utter tosh.

Thailand isn't "a country supporting Russian involvement in Ukraine." Hope this helps.

Mid-air drama: Unruly passenger instigates chaos on Thai Airways flight to Frankfurt
Pointe Noire, Republic of Congo about 20 years ago, already boarded and a big storm front is approaching the airport. The Captain announces a departure delay of about 40 minutes with the option to remain onboard or sprint quickly back to the terminal before the rain gets heavy and wait it out in comparative comfort. My mate and I debated for a minute regarding the hassle of their 'security' checks but decided one last icy cold Kronenbourg in the bar was worth it. We legged it to the bar, slightly bedraggled, just in time to see the Captain and co-pilot raising their beers in a polite 'Cheers'.

AIS shops: for Serenade customers only?
Up here in Bahn Nawk, there's a Serenade store in the mall where the AIS hi-so's go for 3-in-1 coffee and canapes. The regular malls that host Big C, Lotus's and the like have Telewiz stores where the AIS hoi-poloi get their smartphone jollies.

Nice send off and a nice gesture from yourself. But 400-odd?! I guess that's because he was so young, still had family and friends and friends of family and friends of friends, etc., etc.. I guess that's the benefit of popping one's clogs when in one's twilight years in that there's not too many rels and friends left either.
