Another activist lobbies Election Commission to rule out Pita PM bid
No, the world was watching Ukraine. Then they were watching the northwest Atlantic. Now they're watching Russia. BTW, the US votes for their leader in November but they ratify the results in early January and inaugurate the winner in late January. Unable to form a majority government in the UK after early June 2017 election, it took the Tories 18 days to form a coalition.

Facial recognition for Banking apps
You seem to be suggesting that Thai banks are relying solely on Thai developers. With the possible exception of India, I doubt ANY bank in ANY country relies on 100% home-grown talent to develop their apps. There's a disclaimer on smartphone fingerprint readers because as you say, their implementation is "almost impossible to spoof". Almost isn't 100% secure. That's why every so often, my smartphone requires I re-enter the PIN login for verification in-lieu of the fingerprint. Maybe the Thai bank's collective photo requirement isn't meant to be a giant leap in online banking security but closes an online fraud channel that's unique to Thailand. My Revolut account mostly uses the biometrics of my smartphone's fingerpront scanner and I've also needed to enter a OTP very quickly but every so often, I need to show my face as well.

Facial recognition for Banking apps
Because "all the big tech phone manufacturers" aren't in any way responsible for billions of baht held by millions of customers. Why do you think a Thai bank's "face ID system" will be less secure and reliable than say a non-Thai bank's" face ID system"? Serious question. Because it is about improved security: belt AND braces. Some people will still need to write them down or share them with trusted people so PIN numbers are a horrendously unsecure authorization method. When hackers can spoof a mobile phone's numbers and gain illicit access, even the OTP method can be compromised. The elevated security of 2FA has only seen a more determined effort by hackers to break that system.

Marshall Stockwell 2 Bluetooth speaker
Bought my genuine Bose Soundlink Flex bluetooth speakers at Changi DF for the equivalent of about 6500 baht as they were on special.

For the record, it was only three times in one day, only 500 baht each time and no, I wasn't shocked.

non o visa at savannakhet loas
If she doesn't have one, it doesn't matter. They won't even ask. Put it this way, my Mrs has a passport but I didn't provide a copy last February, just a copy of her ID card, the Tibian Bahn (blue book), both countersigned and an ORIGINAL of the marriage certificate.

Insurance companies checking your medical records
Correct, thanks @Sheryl, and to add that pay attention to what is in your medical history as recorded by the health care provider. When I signed up for a new health insurance policy just after Covid, I ticked the 'No' box against the personal history of hypertension question; it had never been an issue in my life. However, on reviewing my very limited Thai health care provider data that I agreed to release following a claim, they found a one-off instance of evidence of Stage 1 hypertension recorded during an offshore industry medical from about six years previous. That was enough for them to add a weighting (increase) to my 1-year premium, already paid. My medical claim was not related to hypertension in any way.

NACC ordered to disclose findings regarding General Prawit’s luxurious wristwatches
To devalue the power, authority and credibility of the NACC before the EC passes the parcel on MFP/Pita eligibility to them to decide? I was reading that the third document that the NACC are withholding from public scrutiny involves the personal (legal?) opinions of those making the earlier judgment to no-bill the caretaker DPM on the watch issue.

Supreme Court verdict on former DSI chief and other officials due on July 10th
My late father-in-law, riddled with cancer on his deathbed, had no option but to personally attend the local land office to sign the papers enabling a transfer of property ownership to his siblings. Of course, he was just a lowly Isaan construction journeyman who's only link to Bangkok was building condominiums there.

https://app.icc.tv/live/241830/england-v-australia-test-1-day-1- Gaming laptop for a teenager
My oldest has indicated he wants a laptop for his birthday in late April and he wants something that would be decent for gaming as well as for college. He's not a 24/7, always-on sort of gamer but thinking about getting something that's maybe an entry-level gaming laptop rather than a 65k baht ASUS ROG sort of machine? For example, we've maxed out an old i5 for the home gaming machine and when he comes across the few games that don't fly or crash, he moves onto a game that does. I believe Ryzen may be a better CPU option versus i7 machines depending on your price break? Any tips and guidance on this? Thanks! NL - The Ashes -how to watch?
