90 day visa (from U.K.).
Onerak replied to welshguy's topic in Thai Visas, Residency, and Work Permits
There is no 90-day tourist visa. A TR visa is for 60-day stay which you can extend for another 30-day. For more than that, there are various options but visa wise, there is multiple entry TR visa. But it will also let you stay only for 60-day and then you can extend it again for another 30-day. After 90-day, you must leave the country and enter again to get another 60-day to stay which you could extend for an additional 30-day. -
OMG. Who did they ask these questions? Most probably family tourists who come with families. Single male tourists who come here alone or with friends come only to sample their future brides to live on a "wife visa" or sex orgy because sex workers in their home country have rejected them and gone to men from Dubai for more money.

I wonder why I don't have to ask these type of moronic questions. I am coming to Thailand for two decades on different visas, including Non-OA, Non-O, education, tourist (except business or smart visa), visa exempt etc. Did visa run, border run also. Stayed for one year without leaving Thailand, stayed for 15-days to 9 months continuously. Never had any issue getting my extension or 90-day reporting. Never had any confusion about when I have to report 90-day. My conclusion is members in this forum are getting dumber and dumber. Is it the age or low quality visitors?

I was admitted to to Bangkok Pattaya hospital and they did not ask for payment in advance. I even joked when clearing by bills what would happen if I don't pay and walk out. Are you guys going to call police?

Not in the USA unless it is an emergency and they will only stabilize you to prevent your death so that they could hound you to give them their money back or declare bankruptcy and live on the street.

You thin too much. You take pride in yearly accomplishments of getting a "refugee visa" (yearly retirement via) for 1900.

The tale of doubling and tripling agent fees by members of this forum who take pride in their accomplishments getting a "refugee visa" (aka retirement/wife visa) is not new. I have heard that tale when they required health insurance for O-A extension and when the time limit was mandated. In the mean time I earned more than 10% keeping my money where it belongs and sharing my wealth to unfortunate people who don't earn dollars. You want to run around collecting paper, documents, checking every transfer is international or not, waiting in immigration queue every year, and kowtowing to every demand of IOs while keeping your hard earned money for a few baht in a Saving account in your retirement years is your prerogative and you derive immense pleasure at the end for getting your "refugee extension" for 1900 baht and consider it as an accomplishments. Enjoy that. I get my pleasure by getting my "refugee extension" by not doing any paperwork or kowtowing to IOs demand while my money earns 10% and sharing my wealth with unfortunates few who don't earn in dollars.

Bank Interest Rates
Onerak replied to couchpotato's topic in Jobs, Economy, Banking, Business, Investments
Rate in the US high yield savings is creeping up to 3.8%. Of course the US market is also showing signs of rebound but equity investors are still cautious for the looming recession every one is predicting in 2023. -
First time Applicant for Retirement Visa

What worked 10 years ago has no meaning. Can people stop posting their BS experience. Unless it is recent, it has not value. -
Why would you go to his LinkedIn page to search him. Is he your friend? He should blame those damned bars where he went to drink a beer and then surrounded by ladies and he spent all his money on some thing called "lady drinks" and one of the lady even wanted to go with him to his place. He though wow what a nice country where the bargirl takes him home and also sleep with him. He fell in love with Thailand. By the time he realized that the bar was in fact a brothel, it was too late and he did not have any money to go back home.

40-Plus Coalition, Opposition MPs To Hop Over To Bhumjaithai Shortly
Onerak replied to webfact's topic in Thailand News
Great and I wish them success if this the same party leading the weed legalization in Thailand and making my life easy to obtain weed in Sukhumvit 11 at night from mobile vendors. If not shame to them to jump ship for political gains. ???? -
Three Indian tourists arrested for stealing shorts and a bracelet in Krabi
Onerak replied to webfact's topic in Krabi News
So, Indian female thieves are now venturing outside India to practice their skills. Splendid in deed. A step in the right direction. Indian females go to the USA and become CEOs, doctors, authors, and lawyers and these come to Thailand to steal a pair of 200 baht jeans. What a disgrace. -
Norwegian man arrested on Samui Island for 15 days of overstay
Onerak replied to webfact's topic in Koh Samui News
Alas, he did not say I love Thailand and its temples, and foods. Its culture and the sunshine and Thai people. I really could not leave the land of smile and its lure of brothels splendidly masquerading as bars. -
I used to book Sofitel for $50/night during the Covid-19. How much it is right now?

How does the Baht stay so strong ??
Onerak replied to fulhamster's topic in Jobs, Economy, Banking, Business, Investments
My dream of USD/Baht = 40 is shattered. I read Thai central bank is buying Dollars to keep Baht volatility low.
