How much charge for FedEx to deliver a credit card (same as document) to Pattaya from the USA?
-
Wanted to test XE.com rate. So I opened an account with XE.com. And sent $100 from USD to Thailand. Here are the conversion. I am still not sure If Bangkok Bank would deduct any thing from the total shown here or not. XE.com conversion vs Wise.com conversion. There is a 68 baht difference between XE.com (3464.08) vs Wise.com (3396.64) for $100 transferred. For $2,000 transferred, it would be approximately 1,200 baht. Not a small amount. Any feed back will be appreciated. Last year I may have transferred close to a million baht. Am I losing money using Wise? I really don't care if it take a few days to reach money to my bank in Thailand.

More than ten Thai restaurants caught selling alcohol beyond legal time
Onerak replied to snoop1130's topic in Pattaya News
Sorry mate, I don't live using "Wife visa" not even a retirement visa like a refugee, renewing my stay every year and kowtowing to immigration for their mercy to let me live by showing I have kept the money in the bank, or doing border runs because I don't have money, and endlessly posting in this forum asking how I do this and how I do that while bashing Thais, Chinese, and Indian and recently Russians incessantly. -
More than ten Thai restaurants caught selling alcohol beyond legal time
Onerak replied to snoop1130's topic in Pattaya News
Desperate people who fled their own country because their voices are not heard and women in their own countries have rejected them come to Thailand, survive on "wife visa" and complain in this forum only because that is where their voices are heard amongst their own kind. And it provides entertainment for people like me who don't not have anything constructive to do.- 61 replies

Recommendation for a Android Smart Phone Salesperson who speaks fluent English
Onerak replied to connda's topic in Chiang Mai
Never encountered such a sales person in the USA. I doubt there are people are like that in the entire World. These type of people don't sell phones. They can make millions doing Tik Tok and YouTube. -
When does TM30 reset?
Onerak replied to Kalorymetr's topic in Thai Visas, Residency, and Work Permits
I change it when I get a new Passport, or when I change my address. Never had any problem extending my TV. Of course the two years during covid-19 when I stayed using retirement visa, I used an agent in Pattaya and the agent did not care about TM30 or other such nonsense. -
I have the same set up with US eSim from Google FI. In Thailand i bought a dTac sim and inserted the physical sim in the sim slot in my phone and lo and behold, it picked it up and started working. I get all the phone calls/text messages from US when some body dial/text to my US number and the same for when somebody dials/text to my Thai phone number. I did not have to post in this forum and get instructions to do that. Sorry for the snarky remarks.

Man buys gold bars with 120,000 baht in ten baht coins
Onerak replied to webfact's topic in Thailand News
People are making serious money in Tik Tok and You tube, I guess I wanted to change the vanity top in all my bathrooms (3 in total) in the USA. This was a brand new house I bought in 2004. Called a lot of independent plumbers to give me an estimate. Everybody came checked my bathroom and wanted to tear down my bathroom and do a bathroom re-modeling. I told them I wanted to replace the vanity top only (not even the vanity) not remodel my bathrooms. But all refused because they don't want to do small jobs. One guy even told me he could make more money making videos in Tik Tok than replacing my vanity top. LOL. At last found a guy who did it for $300. It took him less than 2 hours. Vanity tops are cultured marble that I bought from Menards for $200 total. -
IMF expects Thai economy to outperform global peers in 2023
Onerak replied to webfact's topic in Thailand News
There is no prostitution in Thailand just like there are no brothels in Thailand. All brothels are bars and prostitutes are future brides of desperate old people rejected by females of their home country and want so desperately a "wife visa" for their survival in the land of smile. -
I also use Google Fi. Get a local sim that you will give you a local number. There is no need to make it call forward. Insert the local physical sim in the same phone (I also have the same set up) in its physical slot (FI uses eSIM) and then enable it for international roaming. You will receive all the messages in the same phone even if when you're outside Thailand. Also, turn off Fi data when you're in Thailand and use data of the local sim. I have exactly the similar set up in my Pixel 5a 5G phone. I turn on the Fi data when in the USA and use local data when in Thailand.

So with a few dozen pics you would consider a normal or amateur predator. May be a novice predator starting his predating business ???? -
Thailand Elite: Which Plan?
Onerak replied to aldriglikvid's topic in Thai Visas, Residency, and Work Permits
if you have a criminal past (even if the initial verification cleared you), and you changed passport or bought a new passport from a different country and then trying to enter Thailand and immigration catches you, they could deny entry and you could lose money. If you're in doubt about your criminal past (????), you can enter Thailand using the same passport that you intend to use for elite, enter Thailand using visa exempt (if possible) or on a Tourist visa, and then pay elite the money and get your visa affixed in Bangkok immigration. -
As long as their brothels fronting as bars keep running and foreigners line up to find their brides to live on "wife visa", nothing really matters.

Criminal Background Check and Elite Visa
Onerak replied to JessabellHeart's topic in Thai Visas, Residency, and Work Permits
Before the started asking for health insurance, I used to get O-A visa from the USA that required a background. I used to walk into the county office and ask them for a criminal background check. They will do it on the sport and give me a printout for free. And the Thai embassy did accept that and issued me O-A twice that I used for four years. When they started asking for health insurance, I found it easier to hire an agent for 15K in Pattaya and extended my O-A for 12-months without insurance. -
Agree. I use Bolt for all my transportation inside Thailand and cost me less than 3K per month. I have a bike that I only drive in the back alleys to go to 7/11, laundry and Rompho market. Never crossed it on the 2nd road to go to beach road. I will park my motor bike in Rompho market and then walk to beach road.
-
Bolt will be around 50 baht I think. If alone, I will get a motor bike for 40 baht. Who uses taxi in Pattaya unless going to Bangkok? Pattaya taxis are rip off any way. Anybody who lives in Pattaya knows it better.

Court Accepts Cannabis Lawsuit Against Anutin, ONCB
Onerak replied to webfact's topic in Thailand News
I bought weed (mostly Thai bricks) for almost two decades since I started visiting Thailand. Legalization made it cheaper and widely available. I remember during Covid-19 the two years when I lived in Pattaya without leaving the country, I had to beg and plead my contact to come to Pattaya (it seems he went to his village) to supply me some weed. He eventually agreed if I buy in bulk for at least 8,000 baht worth of weed. And I bought. I left Pattaya in Sept 2021 and then came back in July 2022. It was a new World and the golden age of Weed in Thailand has set in. Shops everywhere. Before legalization, the same amount of Thai brick that I bought for 1000 baht was available for 300 baht. -
Wise USD Account. Two Questions
Onerak replied to Onerak's topic in Jobs, Economy, Banking, Business, Investments
I don't see why that will be a problem. Instead of pulling the money from Wise account,, they will pull the money from your US bank account and convert it to the currency of your choice. I tried to avoid doing C2B transaction with a business entity that won't take credit card because credit card provides me with fraud protection, and gives me cash back. Any way for most people, I don't see any use of Wise banking account. From discussion above, I see that anybody (even non US residents) can open a US bank account with wise. If so, I have many Indian friends in silicon valley who complain about difficulty in opening a US account for their parents living in India with 10-year US visa and frequent US almost every year. May be I could suggest them to open an US bank account using Wise. Is that possible? And how would they fund the account?
