Used to happen to me all the time. I got ear plugs at the local Thailand pharmacy. The waterproof wax kind that mold in to your ear. 75 baht. You can get them on Lazada also. They don’t fall out. I also blow dry my ears after swimming, pulling down on the ear lobe to dry the inner ear. Hold it a foot or two away on lowest heat setting. You can get a cheap blow dryer on Lazada for 80 baht. No problems since. I attribute it primarily to the blow drying.

There are guys out there that never come into contact with body fluids at all because they are very mechanical and careful when they bang. Nothing outside the condom ever touches a lady. It’s kind of a robot like gyration with no passion, just a release. These types could probably not ever catch anything. They tend to know exactly how to apply and remove the condom also.

I had an investment account in the USA that put a freeze on my account when mail got returned from a USA address. They watch for postal mail getting rejected and sent back to them. They must register it in the computer somewhere. One would think they would just discard rejected mail ???? I updated the address and they unfroze it.

A lot of this stuff you don’t want, even if you get tested and treatment clears it up later on. It’s just not stuff you want in your body.

A place like Pattaya with bargirls there is also the inclination to do things they would not otherwise do because it’s people who are desperate for money. Lots of the India guys and others will pay extra to not use a condom. Of course, nobody talks about it later on, but when you need the money standards get relaxed.

Don’t do anything you don’t have to is my opinion. I even avoided getting a Thai bank account (for now - O-A Visa). Most requirements are there for the three big T’s: Trap, Tax & Track.

Exactly, some of these guys are not interested in taking prep or even using a condom. It’s blokes coming from scrungy areas in India or whatever, or just tossers on a bender. Glad some of the posters here are so into prevention though, that’s comforting.

That would be ridiculous. Personally, I am hesitant to do any type of tax return in a foreign country. It’s risky for my USA stuff and I don’t want to get audited in the USA. Would be a nightmare if I had to return to the states for an audit or had problems getting & sending documentation back and forth. Staying under the radar is the way to go.

That’s what most people would say if they weren’t hospitalized. I remember on the news seeing bodies stacked up in freezer trucks outside the hospitals in the USA. They did not have room for the bodies! There was also footage of mass graves in places like India and poorer countries.

One can contract all kinds of nasty stuff using a condom. They only cover a small area. Plus when you’re drunk they break, slip, not get removed correctly. The guys around Pattaya don’t seem like clean freaks.

A plebian (pleb) would not go at all to stuff your face. Fine dining is about the taste, venue & service experience, not eating because you are hungry. The food is consumed slowly because there is no fear of it disappearing off your plate, or someone else snatching it before you can eat it.

I don’t see Thailand as the right place for his restaurants or personality. ????????‍♂️ Maybe Singapore & Hong Kong.

Has anybody come to regret living in Pattaya and getting VD? Or moving away to another area for that reason? How about AIDS/HIV? It seems like VD would be rampant in the area due to the amount of drinking and sexual activity going on, but the issue is almost never discussed.

Right, there’s a correct & incorrect way of doing things in construction. It’s not all subjective. A common argument in Thailand is that just anything can be offered and it’s “up to you” to accept it or not. Not true at all since there is deception involved. Things are being sugar coated to hide faults, or the faults are not disclosed.

Or rushing… Avoid anyone that is in a hurry during the 1st meeting. Fortunately, it’s easy to see and hard to hide.
