I have wages earned in country and cannot / will not send them on a round trip in-out just to buy a condo. While rare, I've heard it's possible to get a letter inside Thailand under the right circumstances. Assuming a banker will write a FEC / letter or whatever they are called... Would this be only the manager? Assistant Manager? A loan officer? What level person need a seek out. Anyone outside bank (/ing community) issue such a letter? I presume it will be far easier if the person is working in the same bank where the money is banked. Big question - Once I have the letter in hand is it a done deal for land office? Will the Bangkok land office want to see the book as well and perhaps any additional paperwork? How much are land office fees, transfer fees per million thb? Excluding any seller side liability. Finally, weren't there new taxes coming (condos or just land)? Are they in place now? Annual property tax?! Thank you

You stated that you can restore in one click. If the files were actually deleted how would that be possible? -
East Asia must have been an epic eye opener at that time. Truly exotic. When I arrived I chased that vibe to Cambodia, Vietnam and Myanmar. Lived in Cambodia 92 to mid 96 good times. Also spent years in India. The country doesn't change much in one respect. On the other hand, the population, the crushing population has changed the country dramatically.

People slagging Taksin I wonder how many were here during that period? Economy was far, far better. Since then it's just been a series of perpetual economic blunders one atop another since forever. Taksin fell out with the big guy. That was real6his problem. As for USA the nation is finished and Bidens spending bills and illegal immigration will mark this catastrophic event + woke culture. All the morons with Trump Derangement Syndrome. Pure deflection. There is absolutely nothing better about the US now than under Trump although I'm not arguing Trump is not a clown, the economy was great, spending was in check or the nation on the right path. When the country goes into the toilet you lose your pensions and assets assuming liberals have any... so go ahead ... keep voting Dem lol.

Or when MSFT stops supporting 10 lol. Holdouts are funny... It's not as though this is windows 8. You'll go when you must or you'll move to Linux. FTFY -

You can't disable Cortana and onedrive maybe it just hides it. If you're looking to not simply hide but reduce load on resources and conflicts I doubt that app does the trick for those two or any of it. Even though aspects of windows is self-healing you can just click and poof it's back - if it's actually been deleted. -
Inflation continues and it will. The country invaded again by millions of poorly dressed morons. Extension financial requirements are increased. I lose access to SSO insurance. As everyone, our health. Wife gets sick and I have to deal with it (much younger) US social security pays out less /on top of inflation Thailand sees brown and blackouts. Scrapped plans to buy condo already. Another coup or similar shi++y political situation or stalemate dragging Thailand deeper into economic misery. I think the world is heading for a whole lot of misery. My biggest fear is I won't have my life truly sorted before a great depression hits which I've expected since 2008. The latest Biden bills put the us6in league with Japanese debt. The US is doomed. Finally, I will cut my last cord to US in a few years. There's really never been a way back for 15 years but now with the prices, wokery, CRT, homosexual and reptilian agendas I'm out..

Some of highest interest rates in the world and going higher. World reserve currency (as long as it lasts) Vast sums of dollar demoninated debt plus many loans coming due. The unattractiveness of yen, gbp, eur even franc. Metals remain unattractive to investors. Markets have been crashing and burning, rush to dollars / especially US markets

What are our options without license/waiver?
BonMot replied to 2009's topic in Teaching in Thailand Forum
Yes, that's exactly the idea. The teachers that are fussing about, clueless, not interested in teaching but merely mcjob may get blindsided. By all accounts three waivers are easily granted. That's 5-6 years. Maybe by the third year hopefully the teacher would be thinking they want make the job long term (note: I did not state permeant ???? ) and they'd quickly navigate themselves to proper information, a school and a license. If you're end of third waiver and still lost I suggest you sort yourself out. I suspect that anyone completed grad study, waiting for exam, failed... Just guessing but I bet you can get another waiver and maybe two simply due to chaos and confusion. -
None. Give the guy 20-40b for chucking it into the bus. He'll be very happy. Or 20 on, 20 off not always same person. While baw-kaw-saw translate to bus station you probably want to be in the southern bus station if headed south. Certainly far, far more options than M'chit

Extremely light. Docs can only be saved as rtf or text as well I recall. Up until few years ago it was easy enough to get ms office on the sly.

It is and a big upgrade recently I'd read. My gripe is the interface. I think office 2000 looked better. It's got no polish and puts me off.

These can be sources of malware coming from untrusted sites. Agreed... and I love to tweak. -

Presume there's apple hardware in the mix so a shallow win. Apple just as if not controlling and more invasive with DRM and a bunch of its other rubbish. Can't really remove Google from Android unless you use custom ROM and ones wo Gapps at that. -

W7 was great but security wise not a good move. I don't even think MSFT is doing security patches any more. I deal with hundreds of student documents and computer is on the internet a great deal. I will also move to Linux when the computer is in its last throes but need Office 2019 and was given by school. W11 was free upgrade. It makes no sense to stay on legacy OS. Obviously, your computer can't run 11 even if you wanted it to There is a work around to adding local account without email and I download programs on snapfile not MS store I'm pretty sick and tired of the data mining efforts. -

As cynical as this sounds it's the straight up truth. I've had two fillings done that I'm positive weren't needed. Zero ethics. -
It's come a long way but Google is a pale shadow of Word and Excel. Cloud is highly overrated. Desktop app functions everywhere without *tHe cLoUd*

You're lost. Ctrl C, Ctrl V is a universal Windows command. Try it with a . txt file Probably some issue with metadata in background. You cant copy X to a Y parameter. Copy the data to a text file and then from the text file copy it to wherever you want and see if that works

Highlight Ctrl+C Cursor where you want it .. Ctrl+V

Mainly Gmail. I've been on Gmail since inception. I'll move off it when I retire. Storage is ez enough to find these days. I need forms on rare occasion. I have Office 2019 but detest MSFT spy network just as much as Google. I loathe onedrive and pretty much all their apps after Word/Excel. Now I'm complaining... Windows 11 is rubbish. It's just a way for MSFT to get a better view of your personal data. Each user needs an account lol. Account for their stupid store. Ridiculous.
