  1. Grasping at straws there to justify your silly presumption that the wife is somehow involved. The hotel had reported him missing, of which she may have been informed, by contacting the hotel after she couldn't contact her husband
  2. Maybe something got lost in translation. I will employ a contractor for the installation, but I provide all the materials. The power supply I purchased is supposed to be 12V 20A, but since the mention of 10A in the manual, I am afraid it may not be 20A
  3. Because they are rated 72V, so if something goes wrong and send 24V to my cameras, they are toast. ???? Also if the power supply delivers only 10A maximum, it maybe short of current if I decide to add some cameras in the future.
  4. Thanks for the explanation. Should I maybe better replace them with actual fuses, and if so, which rating should they be? Now since there is a mention of 18 outputs 10A, I'm suspecting that the total output may be 10A. Is there an easy way to check that?
  5. They seem all the same X72 XF110 I think Google telle me that is 1.1A. Is that correct?
  6. Why does it matter where this is? 1 Rai is the same size all over Thailand
  7. I assume what is shown in the first picture are resettable fuses. Can someone make from the explaining text what they are rated at? I have the 18 output version, and it is supposed to be 12v 20A. From the explaining text I make that either the device provides only 10A, or each individual fuse only opens at 10A, which I think may be way too high. I like to be corrected, as I'm probably wrong.
  8. I have never heard of different kinds of Wise accounts, maybe you elaborate further on that? If you transfer from Credit or debit card, Wise will receive your money instantly. If you do a bank transfer to Wise, it will depend on when your bank executes your order to Wise. Thai banks execute bank transfers instantly, in my home country most banks execute once a day, and not on weekends
  9. It doesn't become automatically voided, but either party can request to cancel it.
  10. Correct, he used a hacksaw blade, and cut piece by piece out of the metal stub, which he removed one by one with a screwdriver.
  11. Not only in the UK. I had my accounts by a certain bank in my home country closed last year because It lived in Thailand. Another bank did the same around the same time. I received a letter from my embassy where they asked everyone affected to file a claim, and that was the last I ever heard about. Edit to add : I was a 30 year customer, and my address in Thailand was registered with them for many years as my official address. I had a hard time opening a new account, because some didn't accept for the same reason, and others wanted to see me in person to open an account.
  12. One Rai is plenty. I have 1 Rai, built a 350 sqm house, 3 bedrooms and double car carport, a 11 x 6 meter swimming pool, 40 sqm maids quarters on it. And guess what, I still have 800 sqm meter of lawn left. Far too much to maintain.
  13. Good, they should travel more, then maybe Thailand get their act together.
  14. The speed of the transfer with wise depends on many factors. • The amount you send. • The country from which you send. • The way you transfer to Wise. If you transfer by bank to Wise, they most likely don't receive the money instantly, and they also don't check every other minute. I think they check once a day. • The reason you add for sending I heard also plays a role. Like if it has to be registered as an incoming foreign transfer, it also will take more time. • then lately more checks have to be done, for Wise to comply with international monetary rules.
  15. As far as I'm aware, that has been the law for many years already. So what has changed?
  16. Whole house done now with SS304 taps. I had a bunch of them done already a few years ago, but was wary about those not moving. So the guy extracted the kitchen tap, then he did 10 more, of which he had to extract several by sawing them out. Fixed a few other issues with drains etc as well. Charged 2500 baht total, which I was more than happy to pay.
  17. Got a guy in who was recommended by a friend. He looked at it, got the tab out with a saw blade. He charged 500 baht, so I let him do all the other taps in the house at the same time. Still working on them.
  18. Yes there is no delay. On power supply it gives 11.8V, when unplug the power it remains on 11.8V for a few seconds, then it will be 12.38V without interruption. Battery not fully charged yet. I see the battery is connected to the 1A. Is that correct or should it to the 30A?
  19. @Crossy Don't know why the tag didn't work lol
  20. @crossy My power supply with built in battery just arrive. Am I correct that the switching happens in the exact same way as the 140 baht switching module I found earlier? https://www.lazada.co.th/products/b0017-automatic-switching-module-dc-5v-48v-10a-power-failure-automatic-ups-cut-off-5v-48v-i2471707408.html?
  21. Have you considered spraying it with bleach? Spray it plenty early evening when the sun is down and you don't expect rain. Leave it for a few days, and you can remove it with a brush and a garden spray.
