I have to replace some of those small taps below the sinks, as they are poor quality and are deteriorating. I've had 2 crack spontaneously, so I don't want to risk the house be full of water one morning. Now the thing is that the idiot who installed them glued them in. I recall him saying that it was a leakproof way of installing. So he put some water pipe glue around the Teflon tape before screwing them in the pipe. Sure it's leakproof, and not removable proof as well. I tried to unscrew a few, but there is not 1 mm movement. Although I have the tools to remove if they break, I want to avoid it. Any suggestions on how to get them out, or at least decrease the chance of them breaking off?

Thanks Link is what I'm gonna order. It was Glink which I was suspicious about, and after my reads on some Thai forums my suspicions seem to be valid.

Ronaldo will not travel with Man Utd for pre-season tour

Well, that's a bummer. -
To answer my own question. Finally found Glink and Link (interlink) webpages. Only in Thai of course, but with the help of Google, I was able to download the spec of the cables I'm interested in, and they are luckily in English. Both quoted identical spec with Glink, although less than half of the price, slightly better spec. So I then did a search for Link vs Glink, and found some Thai forums discussing the quality. In short, avoid Glink if you're looking for quality, and expect to get what is written in their product page
-
That is what I want to do, the issue is to find the spec of the cables. As with everything in Thailand, exact spec of the product is rarely available, and even when they write spec in their product listing, doesn't mean it is true at all. To me it is important that the wires inside are the size as specified, and are solid copper, and not copper plated, as I found out already with RG6 coaxial cable to be the case. That is also why I changed from the initial idea of using RG6 + DC, to Cat5e + DC, because with copper plated wires the voltage drop would be too big for the cameras to work properly. I am aware of that, but since all cables will be under the roof, I assume interior grade will be fine. Cat5e is more than sufficient for any IP camera available on the market today.

For my cameras I'm in the market for a few hundred meters of Cat5e LAN cable Looking on Lazada I see a few brands listed, with Glink one of the most common one, and somewhere in my head that name sounds familiar. Other brands I noticed are Arnox and Qoolis. Visited a local satellite shop as well, and of course they also offered Glink, but they also had Link, which costed more than double for the same spec. Both have the same spec, which is 24 AWG solid copper wire, unshielded cable. I don't want to overspend if not needed, but of course, the quality has to be good from the first time with this kind of job. So anyone has experience with brands of LAN cable. Will Glink do the same for me as the more than double priced Link? Any other brands you are familiar with that stand for quality? Please note, this is not used as internet cable, but to transfer the video signal between camera and recorder, so interference is a big factor.

Blood check-up: Recommended clinic/package in Pattaya

You can compare the package I linked to, oh and don't go by the number of items in that list, since lifecare list 4 items for what Nhealth quotes as 1 item. -

Blood check-up: Recommended clinic/package in Pattaya
peterfranks replied to simon43's topic in Pattaya
You may want to check out these. They are a nationwide professional company, not a bogus lab on 3rd road, and are cheaper as well. I have used them several times for different test, and compared the prices with Lifecare lab, which cost at least 50% more for the same thing. They are located next door to Pattaya - Bangkok hospital. https://www.nhealth-asia.com/package-detail.html?id=Basic01 -

So you qualify for $80K pension a year, and I saw a post of yours today where you claimed to have saved 100K baht on the exchange rate compared to your January transfer, which translates to as at least a 10 million baht transfer, and in the same post you stated your next transfer would be even much bigger. So you must be a very very wealthy man, according to your own statements. And now you post your experience with government hospitals. Sure I must be missing something here.

It is 1.5% for the first 100.00, after that it's 1%. https://www.krungsri.com/Krungsri2020/media/Banking-Rate/deposit-rates/en/deposit-rates-21042565-en.pdf And another trick Krungsri does, and very few know, is that if you have 101.000 Baht you get the lower interest on whole amount, not only on the amount above 100.000

And we have another winner. Crypto the gift that keeps giving. https://finance.yahoo.com/news/crypto-lender-voyager-files-bankruptcy-054249024.html (Reuters) -Voyager Digital said on Wednesday it had filed for bankruptcy, a week after the crypto lender suspended withdrawals, trading and deposits to its platform as it sought additional time to explore strategic alternatives. In its Chapter 11 bankruptcy filing on Tuesday, New Jersey-based Voyager estimated that it had more than 100,000 creditors and somewhere between $1 billion and $10 billion in assets, and liabilities worth the same value. Chapter 11 bankruptcy procedures put a hold on all civil litigation matters and allow companies to prepare turnaround plans while remaining operational

This will be my last time, I promise, but I just stumbled on this one. Will this have a similar switchover delay, since I see only 12V quoted, or would it be a better option? https://shopee.co.th/Hidduck✡12V-150W-12A-Backup-Battery-Switch-Module-Control-Board-Automatic-Switching-i.119346842.13833040673?

Thanks for the detailed explanation, so the power supply with built-in battery it will be. Another advantage I see with this is, that once the lead acid battery dies, I can replace it with a higher Ah lifepo4 battery
-
Sorry to keep annoying you, so what is the difference between the power supply with the built-in battery and the cyberpower UPS? Do you think the power supply with built-in battery last 27 minutes at 90W usage? As far as I understand, those UPS devices all have a 7Ah battery, so what makes them rated 600VA/360W or 800VA/480 Watt?
-
The strange thing is that on my postpaid number I get maybe 3 a month, while on the prepaid 3 a day.
-
Never had thought that the cheapest part in the whole setup would cause the biggest headache ???? Do you reckon that the power supply with built in battery, will have a similar switch over delay? I more and more start to lean to one of these. According to the spec it can provide 90W, which I think will be in the range of what my setup actually uses, for 27 minutes https://www.lazada.co.th/products/cyberpower-backup-ups-systems-bu800e-7-2-i2368204846.html?

I found a similar one, same price, which doesn't have that diode. Would that be a better choice? https://www.lazada.co.th//products/i2437450791-s8444211263.html?

I have a dual SIM phone, and only for a week I inserted a second SIM. So SIM 1 is True postpaid, while SIM 2 is True prepaid. I have never made a call, send a message or gave the number of SIM 2 to anyone. Since the first day I inserted SIM 2 I receive on average 3 spam calls or messages a day. I rarely receive any on my postpaid number. Any ideas?
-
What is the advantage of this dual power device? Does it increase the current to 20A? https://www.lazada.co.th/products/power-off-protecter-module-dual-ac-power-supply-automatic-switching-module-ups-emergency-cut-off-battery-power-supply-i2921922519.html? In the description of the other device, it says switching power will go off for a few seconds. This one says 10ms. Which is the most likely switching time?

There is of course little info available, but I see only 1 output, so that is why I think it is 2A total. There are 4 x 2000mAh batteries built in. 4 cameras x 1A + 1 router at 1A + DVR at 2A = total 7A You think those batteries can provide 84 Watt for 3-4 hours? I don't see the point of dropping the voltage to 5.5V, as my cameras need 12V This would of course be the ideal solution for me, if it works, so if I could get more info that would be appreciated. https://www.jib.co.th/web/product/readProduct/48054/338/UPS--เครื่องสำรองไฟฟ้า--ZIRCON-MINI-DC-UPS-ZMN45-2200MAH-LAN-POE-USB--ZMN45-2200mAH--BLACK
