Thai Democrat Party Supports Sex Toy Legalization

I thought Thailand was a sex toy! -
Locals don't know any better, most retiree's know you need to tighten up a home and insulate it. I have yet to be in a retiree's home that was even close to energy efficient. All it would take is a very little effort to tighten up a home , add insulation and new windows.. But, of course that would require a little effort.

Thai Private Sector Upbeat on China-Laos Railway Service
Gknrd replied to snoop1130's topic in Thailand News
Maybe, I saw LA was letting the CCP in. I ask a few in SA about China and they don't like the idea? SA and LA are super macho countries. Interesting to see how that goes. I live on and off in that part of the world. These folks are armed and dangerous. -
Thai Private Sector Upbeat on China-Laos Railway Service
Gknrd replied to snoop1130's topic in Thailand News
One of my favorite areas I must say. I just spent 6 months mostly in Laos. Some of the worst roads in the world IMHO. I drove to the Vietnam border and all around the area. I love it, reminds me of Thailand many years ago. Since the rail system is operational I have never seen so many Chinese knock off of US brands(clothes). It is quite amazing to see in the malls in Laos. You want to see unrestricted Chinese brand theft head to Laos and check it out. It is unreal. The locals are complaining that the rail system has bankrupted the government. I don't get into politics but the locals were telling me Laos has let the Chinese bankrupt their country. The Maintenance of roads and such has basically stopped. All money is going to repay China. -

Resort Owner Shocked As Power Bill Soars Over 700,000 Baht

Same here, I cannot tell you how many filters I have cleaned in Thai hotels that were completely clogged up. Not to mention that there is no insulation and usually holes in the windows and doors where air can get in. A/C in Thailand is used to spot cool a small area only. Horrible wast of energy. -
British man accused of setting fire to hotel in Chiang Mai
Gknrd replied to webfact's topic in Chiang Mai News
The fire dept. was praising the farmers in Laos, Cambodia, Mianmar and Thailand for causing the particulate matter in the air to be so high, and the lack of oxygen to have saved the lives of many. Without oxygen and heavy particulate matter the fire would have been much worse. TAT is promoting burning and says it has saved many lives in CM. -
It is just a scam, I visit many countries and most all only require you show a certain income or bank balance if you want to live there. They want to make sure you have the funds to live a good life and spend like a tourist. Thailand is a joke. I always relate the Retirement rules to a Thai bar girl. Same mind set.

29-30000 people a year dead because of air pollution. Plunk down 25K in a Thai bank for 6 months a year living (you need to vacate 6 months if you want to breath). Some of the highest ATM withdrawal rates in the world. Immigration hassles. Military run government catering to the CCP. Yea, sign me up.

Zoos in Thailand and Vietnam collaborate to protect endangered cranes

I used to drive down to see the cranes at the lake. Lake was a polluted shi%% hole because of the buffalo . But the cranes were worth the visit. -
No savings, huge debts: More and more Thai seniors struggling to survive
Gknrd replied to webfact's topic in Thailand News
Same here in the US. I live in a huge city and older people are living on the streets. I have an old childhood friend that is mowing yards at 65 to help supplement SS. Have another childhood friend that is living in a small camper trying to survive. -
Wildfire strikes Thai National Park, sparks regional eco-disaster
Gknrd replied to webfact's topic in Thailand News
When I was living in the sticks. The tribes people and locals set the fires. Common every year. Actually it spurs growth. And the tribes people and locals would set the fires for financial reasons. The real problem I saw was clear cutting the forests and burning. Cambodia was.a nightmare. There are not any forests left in SE Asia. Most low land forests have been clear cut years ago. Thailand , other than the few parks has not had any forests in many many years. As a side note, after living threw some of the worst years of pollution. I would not set foot in Thailand for six months a year. Thailand is one of the worst, if not the worst country I have ever visited as a tourist or resident six months a year.
