Only ones I see having problems is the India folks, Chinese with 10 bags stuffed to the brim. Experienced travelers go to Thailand with a pair of shorts a tee shirt and a couple of pairs of shoes. Get out of the tourist traps and have a good time.

Happens all the time with lack of follow up and lack of caring. The woman I know had shingles. Older lady. She was given a very very controversial drug that required very strict follow up. She was literally given the medicine and sent home with no follow up. By the time she went back it was to late she died of complications to the drug the doctor ordered. I know of another case of this also.

I know of one lady literally murdered IMO at a local hospital in Thailand. But, broken bones and common accidents are extremely cheap and actually verrrry good care and competent.

Yes, my girlfriend's sister works there. Every year she gets a bonus of 100K to 300K Baht. Makes around 90K / mo. As a nurse. Prices are pretty much on par with US prices. I snapped my wrist was in surgery for 5 hours and broke my collarbone. Bill was 2000 dollars in Colombia a few years ago in the sticks. Government hospitals in Thailand in the sticks a few years ago were still very good value. Now? I would hate to get anything done there personally including dental..

They are back in the Philippines now. Why do they want to increase their presence in Thailand. Let the Chinese have it. The leaders are just sucking up for a few dollars it brings in. Put Thailand on the US black list. Stop all SS payments there. Move all manufacturing out of Thailand. Let the Baht run with the Yuan. Stop all currency transfers into Thailand .

There is where the extra 300 tourist tax needs to go. Pumping that kind of money into stopping pollution would make a huge difference. Instead of a new Benz in the driveway.

Anyone that has follows currency knows this was coming. I left a month ago. Enjoyed the rate for 6 months. It happens all the time. Other countries are now on my radar. Thailand is one of my least favorite countries. But, when the Baht is low agains my currency it is ok to visit.
