You are allowed to give all the money to start the business. Then if successful you are allowed to leave. -

About 40 years ago I was flying to a small town in Peru. I remember we banked hard and it almost threw me out of my seat. Then a steep dive down and landed on a runway between two mountain peaks.. Great adventures and great time. -

China has a lot of problems with the middle class. Geopolitically it will never come back to the old norm. -
Thai tourism revises goal to “5 million Chinese tourists” in 2023

I live on the Texas border with Mexico, Chineses are fleeing China and trying to get into the US by the hundreds. Can we ship them to Thailand for a nice vacation... TAT, contact the border patrol and add a few thousand to your stats. Chinese are getting as bad as the Mexicans trying to swim the river and enter the US. -
Thailand’s real estate sector eyes foreign investment boost
Gknrd replied to snoop1130's topic in Thailand News
I think the US used to be the Chinese number one option for buying homes. But, the US has clamped down I think, and they are heading to Thailand to buy. Actually Thailand is a better place for them to buy now. As hard as it is to believe it is more stable than China. The rich and wealthy want out of China. Or an option if and when things get really bad there. -
And as the military rolls in to stop the democratic elected PM protests. A heart broken ex PM steps in to take the reign for another four yeas of military rule. He had been looking forward to enjoying his long awaited retirement and say's he is pro democracy and will fight to help democracy prevail in the next election, and the next election, and the next election.

Chinese tourism deterred by tourist scams in Thailand, says Atta

Got to blame lack of Chinese tourism on something. This has nothing to do with reality. Typical TAT blabber. -
Thailand to reduce visa approval time for Chinese tourists
Gknrd replied to webfact's topic in Thailand News
Chinese economy is in shambles, If they want the Chinese tourists then they need to do any and everything possible to get them to Thailand. In 10 years Thai Visa will be replaced with China Visa. The old Chinese will be flooding into Thailand and griping just as loud as the farang now on Thai Visa. I will live another 10-15 years hopefully. Will be interesting to see how things are going a few years down the road. -
I will be convinced in a couple of years. Now it is just window dressing as far as I am concerned. Would not get to excited about reform until it happens.

Is it OK to overstay by 2 days?
Gknrd replied to organicman's topic in Thai Visas, Residency, and Work Permits
I was in line at the border 6 months ago and a guy and his wife had overstayed for 20 days. No problems what so ever. Very polite gal came over charged the overstay fee's and they didn't even loose their place in line. -
Money , money , money. agree with the poster above. Better than the walking and talking heads. I watched it and liked it. I actually understood most of the language. Amazing how much you pick up living in Thailand for 10 years. He speaks Thai. I bet born in Thailand or has lived there for many years. 1.8 million view. cha Ching.

I knew a guy in KK that did a land lease. Not sure the details but when his wife and he separated. They harassed him day and night. Trashed his house when he was gone. When he would come home they would shout and throw rocks at his car. Police did nothing. He finally just abandoned the place. Lost everything. He knew what was going on. He did strip the house and did as much damage as he could but it didn't matter. He still lost a hundred thousand or more. He was afraid for his life.

LOL, this going on as the Youtube punters are advertising new high end homes aimed at the foreign retirees. Lawyers buying advertising spots on the internet and putting up Youtube talks of buying property in Thailand. Just another example of corruption and illegal activity going on, that targets the foreigners.
