Nonsense, most come over here with no idea what is going on. The last thing that they need to do is invest. I would venture to say no matter how much money you have the number one thing people regret when retiring here is buying property and investing heavely. AS far as women goes? You can plan for them and yourself more security than buying land and building houses for them.. I am always amazed at the guys that give this advice. Personally I set up a trust for my GF here. With payments to her until she dies. Then the stocks will be sold and given to my heirs.

Guess you can do what ever you want with your money. I come here to enjoy myself not hassle with buying property I cannot own, build and invest here. I have done that already.. Why would anyone come here on retirement and want to invest? I would say people that come here and invest in property and homes are the most likely to get scammed.. Or any business here for that matter.

What is the treatment for cannabis overdose in a hospital. An assorted food platter.. Thailand will be opening up accredited cannabis over dose hospitals, they will take your blood pressure, temp and then give you a tray for the all you can eat buffet.

If you are coming here to retire RENT. End of story. Thailand is not bad if you don't get caught up in their scams. Some very nice rentals here, and when the place needs repairs move to the next newest one. They are a dime a dozen here.

I have been to SA a few times, I would say it compares to SE Asia as far as garbage goes. Definitely more dangerous. If not for that it would be hands down a better destination by miles.

I have read the China debt to GDP is the highest in the world and the Chinese are printing the Yuan faster than any currency in history. Also the rich Chinese are bailing out faster than a rat on a sinking ship. I don't have any political agenda what so ever but kinda curious what will happen in the next few years.

If an expat is wanting a one year extension , it will be mandatory to sit threw a 3 day seminar on the"Joys of Owning a Condo in Thailand". If you spend 5-10million Baht you get a 5 year tourist visa, that will be re-evaluated in 5 years. And if you buy before the 3 day seminar is over you will get fast tracked. ???? This is Just a joke, I am sure he would make a great leader.

I am the worst of the bunch, I travel all the time. Drive an old beat up pickup and stay at 500-1000 Baht digs / night. Personally I have tried to spend a few extra Baht but I am miserable. Cannot stand it. Old habits die hard.
