Just got into Soul, From BKK. Announcement on the plane, all Chinese to be tested before could continue. When I was a leaving the plane two large groups were being swept away. I never saw them again. Also all passengers were made to show their itinerary and where they came from. If coming from or had visited China. You were pulled out of line and taken away. One exchange would not exchange Thai baht for local currency? I was a little surprised. I thought Thai Baht was a sort after currency in Asia. Finally found one that would exchange. Hassle. And the announcement on the plane they clearly stated it was because China was in the mist of a Covid outbreak. So much for the Zero Covid policy..

What's not being said is the crematories are weeks behind and growing. I have seen estimates of millions dying in the next few months. Such a sad thing. Horrible.

Yeah, you can tell where Thailand is headed. As much as I love it here it is not for westerners. Luckily there are other places just as good or better to be enjoyed.. Problem for me is now I will have to learn a new language... uggggggg.

10-1 I get covid AGAIN trying to get out of Thailand.. My flight was delayed until tomorrow so I will be right in the middle of the most contagious people entering Thailand in the history of man kind.. If I had a hazmat suit I would wear it a the airport. Just my luck.

What a total disaster. Hard to believe a couple of years ago countries with infection rates like in China were almost impossible to get into Thailand. Now, come on in.

By all reports the Chinese covid is worse now than in the US at its peak. Or at least as bad. This is going to be a disaster.

My only regret is I didn't leave sooner. I am already seeing delays. The hospitals here are going to be overwhelmed.

Dr. Supakit said that there is no reason to be overly concerned about increased arrivals of tourists from China, because 97%of the COVID-19 infections in China are related to the BA.5.2 and BF.7 sub-variants, which are not new sub-variants and do not spread more quickly than the sub-variants currently found in Thailand. What a relief I feel so much better now.

Subtract 5 million westerners and it's a wash. I am heading to Mexico for some clean beaches for a change. This filth in Thailand I can only take for a few months at a time..

Anyone else sick and tired of all this insurance BS beside me. They want to shut down tourism again enforce it. If they want to make the government and insurance companies a few bucks enforce it. Who cares. Just hop on. a plane and head to greener pastures.
