  9. My standard breakfast rolls: 1kg Thai bread flour 18g salt 15g instant yeast 30g canola oil 650ml water 24 x rolls, dough cut at 70g Bake at 200c for 20 mins (in a pre heated oven) I wrap and place in the fridge freezer and bring out one at at a time. Usually bacon/fried egg butties.
  10. Sugar does not need to be added to yeast, it feeds off the sugar in flour. Unless the Law in France has changed baguettes must only consist of four ingredients: Flour Water Salt Yeast. Another myth I often hear here, is ''use warm water'' I use water at 10-18c and the doughs always rise. I used to work in a bakery but retired at 50 yo due to ill health, Still baking though at 69yo now, It was all that standing....

  12. I take it your previous stamp was from Chonburi Immigration? For those who live in other provinces that also have the Chonburi stamp in passport courtesy of the ''agents'' it is unlikely this would work. The advice when I enquired at my IO last year was to leave Thailand and start over. If I am incorrect please can forum members post their experience's.........

  14. Did mine in October last year and it took 17 days to come back. I just got an email back saying come and collect it. I was not aware you could track it. I thought that new VFS set up in the Shoppes was good, much improvement on Trendy.....

  16. Must agree with you, I have a redundant iPhone 6 in the drawer. Lots of reviews and articles out there, When I get around to it, will go and have a good look....... Those in the know say give it a miss and wait for the '17.....

  18. Well it appears to be here now as just had a notification from Apple. Their cheapest iPhone in current family of phones. Cost 22,900 Baht. In US 599 and UK 599 Time to upgrade from iPhone 13???? Not so sure as it still runs good, though I looked at all the current 16's at the AIS shop and there is a noticeable difference - latest chip... All the reviews are saying it is far too expensive Obviously there are far cheaper android phones and last year bought the wife an Oppo Reno 11, superb phone as its never out of her hand,,,
  19. why would I want a Wise account here in Thailand? Both my pensions are paid into BBL and their banking app is great. Pay truck, loan, all house bills and err wife......from it. For beer chits, I get from wife and pay back thru transfer. Haven't used an ATM here for a long time....

Ever heard your Doctor, hospital staff, Bank staff, Dentist, Police officers, immigration officers refer to you as a ''farang'' Thais themselves know its a slang word. Similar to Paddy, Scouse, Brummie, Jock, Taff, plus all those foreigners: Frogs, Boxheads, Spams , ......

  22. I received a half pension payout just two weeks after my 66th Birthday, Like the OP I applied by telephone from Thailand and it gets paid into my Bangkok Bank account. From the last two numbers on the NI number my payment is every 4 weeks on Tuesday, It goes into BBL account two days later unless Thai holidays in the week, Very reliable service.........
