  1. We were there Wednesday the 17th, waiting for word now 🤞. Always found VFS good but the website to book an appointment was poor. Don't like the new location as much as the Trendy, too out of the way, stayed at the Best Western Hotel 10 minutes walk away.
  2. Yes, i'll second that about Thai Visa Express 👎.
  3. I am applying for another UK 2yr visit visa for my wife, this is her 2nd. Is it OK to just use all the same translations as the last application i.e. marriage certificate, land papers, house book etc as non of them are dated. Thanks.
  4. If I have a visa extension based on marriage is there a maximum amount of days I can leave Thailand in that year, thanks.
  5. At Xmas we were at Fish Village, Ban Pong and the majority of dogs for sale were Pitbulls. Not a dog I thought would be popular in Thailand.
  6. Quite impressed with the App.
  7. 3rd time lucky for the Baya weavers. The 2 previous times they've tried to build in our garden the squirrels have pulled there nests apart, they have decided on a different area though so fingers crossed. Messenger_creation_067633cb-8511-44c4-ae78-fcaaccdbf4ae.mp4
  8. Common in our garden up at Saiyok. Not seen a Barn Owl before but the wife found one dead in the garden a couple of days ago.
  9. I was hoping someone could point him in the right direction for the better sites. If I put in Engineering jobs in the UK, 95% of the responses are bulls##t, their's so much s##t out there.
  10. Someone I know is currently teaching in China but is finishing in August. He is thinking of coming to Thailand and I was wondering which websites were best for him to look for teaching jobs. Thanks.
  11. Might have too but the nearest is 65km away, if I can get the nest out myself it saves me a trip.
  12. Does anyone know if you can get inside a Nissan Almera bonnet. There are 2 panels that look separate but I don't want to start trying to force them off if they're not supposed to come off. The reason is I have a mouse nesting in my bonnet. Thanks.
  13. New one for me Lineated Barbet.
  14. My wife took seeds back from the UK last year and they've grown amazingly well, our biggest problem is squirrels nicking them before we can get them. Has anyone bought a poly tunnel in Thailand?.
  15. I feel sorry for you, could never do it myself. I don't know why the clinic won't do it both clinics we use will, we had a dog put to sleep just before Xmas.
  16. What do you mean by "dummy hotel and dummy flight bookings", we fancy a look to Italy for a week in the summer and need to sort a Schengen visa.
  17. No that's exactly what they want to know. Remember it's her application not his, if she puts retired, how many girls can retire at her age in Thailand. She needs to show how she lives if that is with her sponsors money he needs to show the monthly transfers and the amount.
  18. You don't have to go in person, just done my sons, applied and collected myself.
  19. I'm sure you can pay for the extra services when you go to make the application.
  20. Sounds a bit fishy, doesn't matter when she was born, when the birth was registered at City Hall will have gone down as her date of birth. My wife is 47 but she was about 1 by the time they registered her so that is the date on her ID.
  21. Turnaround was 3 weeks in August. You must start the process online and make an appointment. You need a colour copy of every page in passport, if a dual national every page in both passports.
  22. No problem it's a 6 months visa, if you put a travel date of say Xmas that would take you to end of June.
  23. Their is nothing to say getting a Non-O is linked to retirement, anyone can get one. In the past I would normally get one when my driving licence needs renewing so I get 5yrs even though i'm only there for 2 weeks holiday. Their is quite a difference now though over the tourist visa with you having to have £10000 is funds.
  24. Yes this is the part that I wonder about. In the near future i'm planning on working 6 months in the uk then having 6 months off in Thailand, then repeat each year. An employer is not going to give me a letter, obviously not retired, could I just use 6 months pay slips ?.
