  1. The article on here is a bit confusing and typically contradict the information. 150 cliff not mentioned however a steep cliff and died from being lost made my confused old brain translate as a steep hill/incline. I imagine more information outside this article is available. Cliff's are normally described as high inclines as steep and people who fall or pushed off a cliff and die are normally described as death resulted from a fall from a cliff.
  2. Very strange statement. I am in my country as I left Thailand in 2019 after staying in Thailand for 8 years and lived and worked in Thailand from 2002 on and off for periods upto 2 years (worked as a scuba diving instructor and a teacher). Why would the police not take your motorbike from the bar? Very strange statement. Police would definatly take the bike as evidence and the bar owner charged with theft and possible more. You can not take someone's property over a debt unless the court has approved it. Good or bad the uk has laws. Kicking the <deleted> into someone who owes you a few pounds is not acceptable in civilised countries taking someone's property is also not acceptable under any circumstances in the uk. As for a member of the public refusing to hand over stolen goods to the police lol I don't think they would be asked.
  3. Yes I am and what I said is 100% true. A young guy 17 at the time just jailed for 4 years and 6 months with the last year suspended for defending himself and family after an older and much bigger guy who smashed into his home and attacked him. Stabbed him once and killed him (the young boys mother was injured in the assault). Serious consequences in the uk.
  4. I'm my country it is simple "the police are called" at no point would a bar/pub beat up someone and steal their motorbike! I would say that is the same for any civilised country. Also the police would come down hard on the pub, if any evidence came to light about the severe assault and that 7 or more people were involved then attempted murder charge may also be raised. As for the bike, well the owner would be up in court for theft (see what happens in a civilised country with "but they owe me money" as a defence!!!
  5. I think you have that wrong about ev second hand maret so did a bit of digging "Nissan Leaf" new £34,000ish a 5 year old with max range 124 miles which is far less in reality 80~100 (maybe even less) depending on weather/temperature price mint condition (under 30,000 miles) £10,000 ~£11,000. Tesla seem to hold their price better.
  6. I not sure if I'm upto date on the latest technologies. However, I'm going by recent publications and interviews given by top secondhand dealer networks in the uk. Quite recently manufacturers have started coming out with more accurate information but the dealers are still lying to customers. People in the uk have and are falling for the same trap as diesel car owners. The government said that diesel cars were better for the environment then flipped increasing tax on diesel vehicles. The same will and is starting to happen with EV's. Unless you have a roof full of solar panels, turbines etc then the financial benifit is disappearing fast infact its almost gone in the uk. My point was they are not good for the environment and definatly not better than a modern mechanical vehicle and will never ever last as long. People have the right to buy what they want and every decision for me at least is pro's and con's and one of those is my principles which also is stopping me from watching any of the World Cup games.
  7. First they are not useable after a few years as they depreciate at a rate which makes them unusable. Only charge at 80% don't go below 20% and store at 50% so your usable milage is not say 300 but nearer 180 miles and that range reduces by several percent year on year. Major second hand dealers do not touch them.
  8. Yes I know and should be banned as well. However there is a big difference in a phone battery and a battery that powers a Blood EV. These monstrosities which are not echo are causing the demands which are driving the abuse and murder. Batteries depreciate from day one and 7~8 years life is what main manufactures give (not the sales pitch). With don't do giving vastly reduced range to that of stated range. Don't charge more than 80% don't go below 20% charge and store at 50% charge. Try selling a 6 year old ev. The big second hand dealers in the uk won't touch the second had blood car market. 30 years, I hope you have a nice big diesel to tow it around. 1 x ev battery equals nearly 2,000 phone batteries.
  9. Blood diamonds is a term I did not make up. Diamonds that are not conflict-free are known as blood diamonds, which means they are illegally sold. So No you can't use Blood diamonds to buy a Blood EV. I suppose if your OK having Blood diamonds you'll be OK having a blood ev.
  10. I remember years ago there was a big thing about Blood Dimonds I now call EV's Blood Cars! I personally feel people who own EV's are either thick or just evil but hay ho they can give it "look at me I'm saving the world" when infact its the opposit. Just one question "how many children died digging for those minerals in your battery? Yes a battery with only a 5 to 10 year life but of course just throw it away and buy a new one.... I'll keep runing my 12 year old Honda and my now 5 year old Rav 4 (yes diesel)....
  11. I've never been in a pub in the uk or infact any shop that turns down cash! My fishmonger still hasn't got a card reader and only takes cash. What I have noticed is when I use cash I spend less! I have had a situation buying a car from a dealer when they would only except £6,000 cash and the rest had to be bank transfer.... I've also had situations where paying thousands in cash at a time into my account without a question but taking out £1,000 was like the Spanish Inquisition!!!. I believe we should go back to Gold backed currency. This banking scam of for every pound they have they can lend you 10..... has to end!!!
  12. All poaching? I hope you mean poaching involving financial gain/endangered animals? I admit as a kid I did a little poaching: rabbits, pheasants and fish and all consumed and not sold. Some people are very poor and when the rich own everything.
  13. I drove in Thailand from 2005 ~ 2019, in that time I had 2 people drive into me: 1st stopped at a red light second was a guy so drunk he could hardly stand (police did nothing about him being drunk). Both admitted responsibility. The problem and arguments I had was with insurance company wanting to do things on the cheap also seem to have a 50/50 agreement which I refused and demanded their insurance pay full.
  14. In Thailand its the vehicle that's insured and every time you buy a new vehicle you start your insurance again so no incentive to drive carefully...
  15. Why is Thailand so far behind the curve? Serious questions are being asked even with the pro vacs lobby in media and governments. There is so much information on the .gov website in the UK (it totally contradicts what is being said) that would seriously question anyone who contemplates vax a child, in some countries and states in the US it is banned. Please research then decide but research and you may be horrified (.gov.uk is a great source of information).
  16. I did a little research about e cigarettes and was shocked at so called doctors who peddle the so called serious dangers. Compare cigarettes and e cigarettes then you see one that is so dangerous and a killer and the other which is in comparison very safe alternative. Yes some abuse e cigarettes and the illegal vaps can be dangerous as made in some back kitchen and mixed with god knows what. I tried vap but didn't take to it but I did enjoy it.
  17. So not even 1 gram of drugs (wouldn't that be personal use so not exactly crime of the century), an old hand gun and some gunpowder (was it an antique black powder weapon), over stay just stupid but I've known a few and they weren't hardened criminals just ill sort that tomorrow guy's and the mess we'll they had just been raided. Personally I'm not so sure who are worse these guys who are stupid and do stupid things or the nasty venomous posters on here full of hate.
  18. Yes. A guy I new some years ago was walking his dogs along a canal, a Swan came at him and his dog (an Akita) which was on a lead defended him dispatching the swan. Someone saw it and reported him. Here is where it became interesting. He went to court, was taken to a small room, no one else allowed in and fined £2,000. No report in the local papers!!!
  19. I think the Lab conspiracy has now become the accepted fact. It is also accepted that the origin of the parent virus was from bats but some tinkering occured before it -----'zzzxxxxcggfdssfgy@!
  20. I have found that Thai's in general especially girls/women have such respect for their parent's. I think it is a very commendable trait. My wife who is Thai is exceptionally good at saving and dosent like spending money on herself.
  21. America was famous for travelling "Snake Oil" sales men in the wild West that used to say the same!!! My wife had covid and had all the jags (Got covid a few weeks after her last jag) she got it and it was like a bad cold however she also coincidentally nice gift of side effects mysteriously or coincidentally after the jags which lasted months which forced her to stop working. I obviously got covid from her and it was the mildest cold I've had.
  22. Why always the "Far Right" used to insult? What was said is very true. Ideologies promoted in universities is quite sickening. When scientific fact gets you persecuted and kicked out and when students unions put on one sided political propaganda and tell students how to double and treble vote (this practice being illegal).
  23. I did read once about Americans being allowed to own land for a house however I also read that at that point in time no american had managed to buy land. Try going to a land office with your passport in hand and ask "I want to buy land for a house" and you will be told with a smile " No! You Farang". I believe as of now less than the fingers on my hand own land in Thailand. You can get a "Yellow Property Book" Thais get their Blue-black book.
