Ex-Navy Officer: Warship’s Front Left Hull Was Cracked
BritScot replied to webfact's topic in Thailand News
Have you ever been involved in a thai goverment check up? A school I worked at would hide half the school when the officials came to inspect due to the school not having the necessary licence. Plus the several visits I was there for the officials never left the principles office "acepting brown envelopes)... -
Businesses on Khao San Road struggle to serve customers
BritScot replied to snoop1130's topic in Bangkok News
Please direct me where you can get a flight in the uk to thailand for £510? I think you will find flights are near £2,000 from most parts of the UK to Thailand!!! I know as we were going to go and even travel on Christmas day. -
Some very old and sad people on here. First it's youngsters who love to party and the holiday spirt flows and memories are made (and I have a few). It's when you go to book your holiday it can be a deal breaker. Sun, sea and party. Also it is the young who have the free money to burn with no mortgage around their necks. I think Spain tried this and people just stopped going then they changed back.

Yes I/we can afford it. I also have a house in Thailand I built along with my wife's big bike that have sat in mothballs for 3 years so far. Your rather arrogant assumption is very sad indication of your character. We did leave after 8 years in 2019 due to the uncertainty of immigration and no way was I going to leave my/our money in a Thai bank as a matter of principle and the lack of a desire to have a 800,000baht target on my back. I will never have any one telling me what to do with my money, ever! So after 3 years back in the UK we have a beautiful house, 2 cars in the drive, my wife has another big bike, our children are being well educated and lead very active social lives.

Bangchak to Buy Used Cooking Oil to Produce Jet Fuel
BritScot replied to webfact's topic in Thailand News
What could possibly go wrong? Jet engines cut out at 30,000. Thai aviation quick to make a statement "Nothing to do us"..... No thanks. -
According to his ex-wife!!! Yep women never lie... I read this a little differently: A mother who obviously been preventing him from seeing his daughter went to the school to give her a pizza and like most loving fathers gave his daughter a hug only to be viciously assaulted by the police. What trauma the poor child was subjected to. A loving wife/girlfriend can turn into the Spawn of Satan at a flick of a coin. The man was obviously being prevented from seeing his own child however you cut it.

Really! Not a bar story. Some people actually lived and worked in Thailand in those days early 2000's. I was a diving instructor and new nick name "Mini Me" a really nice guy and was there with the aftermath. Most of the dive masters and instructors from Kow Tow had to go to Bkk to get their passports replaced, as did I (was a great night out in Bkk). Yes when I arrived on the island there he was sitting in his shop with the sign outside as it always had been. I do not know what if anything happened to the rubber stamp guy!!! However quite possibly nothing (one of the founding families of Kow Tow, I think).
-
Because some agents just can't help being scammers. Some years ago on Kow Tow a visa agent decided it would be more convenient to have his own stamp made.... diving instructor going back to Holland on a holiday found out the hard way: thrown in prison and banned for 100 years. The visa guy never missed a beat sign and business as usual.....

Sale Of Fake Banknotes Online Rocks Social Media
BritScot replied to webfact's topic in Thailand News
Your 100% right. The biggest scam the world has ever seen. Mention Gold backed currency and watch the Jets fly in and destroy your country. For every Pound/dollar the bank has in assets it is allowed to lend 10 and charge interest on thin air.... Makes ponzi schemes meer armatures am look legitimate. -
Norwegian man arrested on Samui Island for 15 days of overstay

There are some really nasty, twisted people on here. The pure hatred for other foreigners or the racism is disgusting. I pray for what goes around comes around. -
Covid-Infected Thai Man Found Dead On Flight From Saudi Arabia
BritScot replied to webfact's topic in Thailand News
Thing you might get a lot less worried if you read up on air circulation in modern aircraft. Its to do with cabin being under pressure. You might even get a little angry about the lies you've been fed. -
Yes it is their fault! People should be licenced to have a dog. Trying starts at very young age which involves lots of effort mixing socialising new situations new noises smells and people. They require a good structure and should never be the alpha. On a side note you are aware that the American Pitbull was called The Nanny Dog!
