  1. The notes look in good condition as everytime a mice have gotten into my shed they shred and poo everywhere.
  2. According to his ex-wife!!! Yep women never lie... I read this a little differently: A mother who obviously been preventing him from seeing his daughter went to the school to give her a pizza and like most loving fathers gave his daughter a hug only to be viciously assaulted by the police. What trauma the poor child was subjected to. A loving wife/girlfriend can turn into the Spawn of Satan at a flick of a coin. The man was obviously being prevented from seeing his own child however you cut it.
  3. Really! Not a bar story. Some people actually lived and worked in Thailand in those days early 2000's. I was a diving instructor and new nick name "Mini Me" a really nice guy and was there with the aftermath. Most of the dive masters and instructors from Kow Tow had to go to Bkk to get their passports replaced, as did I (was a great night out in Bkk). Yes when I arrived on the island there he was sitting in his shop with the sign outside as it always had been. I do not know what if anything happened to the rubber stamp guy!!! However quite possibly nothing (one of the founding families of Kow Tow, I think).
  4. Did you bother to read the article? It said they slowed down to make the turn then hit from behind. However you cut it the fault lies with the crv "Due Care and Attention". There is no excuse for rear ending a vehicle.
  5. Because some agents just can't help being scammers. Some years ago on Kow Tow a visa agent decided it would be more convenient to have his own stamp made.... diving instructor going back to Holland on a holiday found out the hard way: thrown in prison and banned for 100 years. The visa guy never missed a beat sign and business as usual.....
  6. Your 100% right. The biggest scam the world has ever seen. Mention Gold backed currency and watch the Jets fly in and destroy your country. For every Pound/dollar the bank has in assets it is allowed to lend 10 and charge interest on thin air.... Makes ponzi schemes meer armatures am look legitimate.
  7. There are some really nasty, twisted people on here. The pure hatred for other foreigners or the racism is disgusting. I pray for what goes around comes around.
  8. Thing you might get a lot less worried if you read up on air circulation in modern aircraft. Its to do with cabin being under pressure. You might even get a little angry about the lies you've been fed.
  9. Yes it is their fault! People should be licenced to have a dog. Trying starts at very young age which involves lots of effort mixing socialising new situations new noises smells and people. They require a good structure and should never be the alpha. On a side note you are aware that the American Pitbull was called The Nanny Dog!
  10. Why? You can do it at any age. In my opinion if the dog is not for breeding should be done after 6 months.
  11. Ah the end is near crowd again, The World is Ending.... mmmmmm 15 predictions and possibly many more all never happened. What utter nonsense.
  12. Do you know anything about scuba diving? Getting a visa to work is rare with only the dive shop having very few to allocate. If you would like to be taught by thai instructors crack on personally I'll stick with well qualified and insured foreign instructors. I was a diving instructor.
  13. I know a few and they really see themselves as doing nothing wrong. I new a Chinese/Thai who has made millions out of visa services from bus runs to the now 20k annual visa. He isa nice guy who took full advantage of the corruption.
  14. I beg to disagree: I would put cleaning wallets a winner by 5 lengths... lol
  15. If true it is shocking but I am not surprised. I/we left for many reasons in 2019 but the straw that broke the camel's back was immigration rules changing almost monthly, the 800k deposit and that big target on your back when criminals/desperate people realise (people have been tortured and murdered for 100k). Then there was the over hanging threat of compulsory insurance and having looked at those costs years before I had decided to buy vehicles cars and big bikes that could be sold in emergencies. When you start getting on in years stability ranks high so the treat of getting kicked out of a country looming over your head because you now don't qualify regardless of the years you've brought 10's of millions of foreign currency into the country matters not!!! No wonder we left by the tens of thousands. Years ago I'm sure I saw a figure of 150000 retirees in Thailand.
  16. And that attitude was why I told Thai Immigration what they could do with their country. "It's only 800,000 baht"! And yes I had the money but its my money and I'm not about to be told what to do with it and how much I can spend.
  17. Plus never invest more than you can afford to walk away from.
  18. I wouldn't call phoning up and grassing "Spy's" not quite 007. I suspect most are little people with jealousy or grudges. I've know people on overstay but would never grass them up, ruining their lives and those around them while they were not causing drama even if I personally didn't like them.
  19. But so are their figures and from experience Tat are not great at maths!
  20. It is not you that the point is about it is the effect on tourists who do not expect to be carted off for not carrying their passport. Yes I used to show my Thai driving licence but people on holiday don't have plus I think under the current context that won't wash! I have had my 40m drive and road our side my house full of police and immigration checking on me at 7.30AM in the morning and I was so angry and it contributed to the decision for us to leave.
  21. This is a forum where people share their opinion. My opinion and experiences are valid and a contribution to the community of Thai visa. The "I have no right" or my contribution isn't worthy" Wow"! I've only been staying in Thailand since 2002, I've lived through 2 coups in Thailand. I've worked as a scuba diving instructor in Kow Tow and experienced the changes on the island. I've worked as a teacher in Bkk and witnessed the changes. My experience with Thailand matters because it's 21 years long. Thailand is not the place it was and it became so unbearable that we left leaving a house we built and family to start again in the uk (a move none of us regret which includes my children). The fact I do not believe tats figures has that experience. The fact I've seen and experienced the great "Hub" Thailand was!!@@
