  1. Yes, but even Time magazine (mainstream media) is TELLING you that there are conspiracies. https://time.com/4130043/lobbying-politics-dietary-guidelines/ Experts Say Lobbying Skewed the U.S. Dietary Guidelines
  2. Your answer is better than mine. But that's precisely why there's so much garbage misinformation out there - to keep the current economic system afloat. The whole economy would have to be re-structured if everyone started eating the right foods. Good post, Oz-man!
  3. The economy would crash and then we'd all be eating each other in the streets. ie The Zombie Apocalypse would happen.
  4. The FDA is a complete joke. I get the impression they're trolling the masses. https://www.fda.gov/news-events/press-announcements/fda-proposes-updated-definition-healthy-claim-food-packages-help-improve-diet-reduce-chronic-disease They just came up with a revised list of "healthy" food. A breakfast cereal with 2.5 grams of added sugar makes the list! Good luck with that.
  5. Maybe not all, but maybe some science gets reported more and some less. And trustworthy sources aren't necessarily the most trustworthy. Red meat is a particularly complex issue because it's connected with climate change. And they seem to be going down the path of banning red meat for climate change. Hence the onslaught of skewed science regarding red meat, in my opinion. If you read this, it shows exactly HOW they come up with the fake claims in their studies. https://www.diagnosisdiet.com/full-article/meat Does red meat cause cancer? If meat is so carcinogenic, why was cancer so uncommon until the last century or so? We are not eating any more meat now than we did a hundred years ago, yet cancer incidence is skyrocketing. So, why do we believe that meat causes cancer?
  6. Not sure where all the info for each diet is coming from. Govt was scaring people off eggs with the cholesterol scare --> Kellogg's breakfast cereals are big business. Take a look at the nutritional profile of red meat. It contains almost every nutrient.
  7. Science is corrupted by $. Time magazine is even gracious enough to admit it. https://time.com/4130043/lobbying-politics-dietary-guidelines/ Experts Say Lobbying Skewed the U.S. Dietary Guidelines
  8. Govt sites are full of disinfo. Red meat is the healthiest meat and linking red meat to cancer is bs fake science. Remember, it was the govt in the US that put out the Food Pyramid, and that started making people really fat.
  9. If you take melatonin tablets regularly, maybe your body will have difficulty creating its own melatonin after a while. Not sure, though. I think Tryptophan is better than melatonin. Milk is high in Tryptophan, as someone mentioned. Magnesium helps with sleep. Take supplements or find foods that contain magnesium. https://www.healthline.com/nutrition/magnesium-and-sleep Go out for walks in the sun as the sun during the day.
  10. if you are the only one around, then 1 on 1 is a risk. but there were many people around.
  11. another idiotic comment. this thread is full of them.
  12. that's your story and you're sticking to it? not sure if she ran into them nor struck the girl. she just said sth. sounds like you're anti-lesbian.
  13. this is sick. and a bunch of men standing around didn't try to stop it.
  14. he is very well built. that's what we should be striving for. but i'm not there ... yet .. and maybe never will be.
  15. My general feeling about most Westerners is that they are extremists. They are either slobs or, when they decide to get fit, go nuts and over-do it. I think a lot of people would do well to pick up an Eastern practice - yoga or Qi Gong - to see that gentle, slow exercise is good.
  16. That's funny. Just watched a video with Neil DeGrasse Tyson. A bunch of physicists had a conference in Vegas and none of them gambled because they're too good at math.
  17. The best exercise regimen, as far as I know, if lifting weights no more than 3 days a week. And then do low intensity cardio on days when you're not lifting. This will help the body to recover. So you're not being sedentary on off-days. You're doing low intensity cardio.
  18. I agree with that. For gentle cardio, go for long walks. No equipment needed. Take up golf. Or maybe even Yoga and Qi Gong would be considered gentle cardio. Or check this out: Walking on the spot in your living room in front of the TV. No expensive equipment needed. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7u1L7cHGAws&t=166s
  19. you're doing HIIT an hour every day? HIIT is high-intensity cardio, right? you may be over-exerting yourself. i'm not a huge fan of high-intensity cardio. i think low-intensity cardio is healthier. coupled with lifting weights, but not every day. no more than 3 days per week. the low-intensity cardio like walking will help you recover from lifting weights. but anyway, i don't expect you to take advice from me. i'm not a professional athlete. and i've never done HIIT. but I tend to agree with the following literature: https://www.nytimes.com/2021/03/24/well/move/exercise-hiit.html#:~:text=A new study hints that, every cell of your body. Too Much High Intensity Exercise May Be Bad For Your Health A new study hints that excessive HIIT may harm your mitochondria, the energy generators found in every cell of your body.
  20. yes, that's exactly what I meant. thank you for extrapolating on my point and providing links for evidence. i owe you one!
  21. sorry, no idea about exchange rates. so any money sitting in bank accounts will be directly converted to digital currencies? ok, i'll take your word for it. thanks.
  22. not sure the article mentions single global digital currency. i think countries that roll out digital currencies don't want bitcoin interfering. but your knowledge of finance is greater than mine. there's another concept that i came across ... not sure if it's off topic .. this guy was a top financial guy in Greece. sounds like they want to put everyone's money in a central digital bank and then everyone gets a digital wallet connected to the digital bank. but not sure if that affects the USD. Yanis Varoufakis on why we should let the banks burn https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lbji8utP6dU&t=1297s
