  1. why would you want to read about cambodia's horrible past? it will make you want to blow your brains out and never set foot in the country.
  2. Mods, how come we can't copy and paste images anymore?
  3. The thing is, we ain't seen nuthin' yet with The Donald. He will likely be one of the most remembered people in all of history. in 10,000 years, everyone will know who he was.
  4. Been following the Youtuber Ramze Travels. He's been in Thailand 2 years and now he is getting bored and wants to move on. Either back to US or somewhere else. So everyone is different. Some people need constant change. I was in a crappy job that I hated. And finally I got laid off. So the Gods are pushing my out of my comfort zone. I noticed that a lot of people back home who have had the same job for life have a kind of "arrested development". They haven't grown. Sometimes, life pushes some people out of their comfort zone and moving abroad is such a thing. And it isn't about finding paradise. It's just about expanding yourself a bit. Which people who visit the same few kilometres or miles their whole life don't seem to be doing.
  5. Still holding a grudge because I bashed Norway? We all need to course correct for various reasons. I don't know how long I'll be anywhere.
  6. yeah, VW micro bus. how much do those cost in thailand? rich kid living off daddy's money, never worked a day in life, acting stupid in bars.
  7. I still believe in soul-mates. If I find one, I'll get hitched. Otherwise, I will stay single. I'm a weirdo anyway, so I don't need to conform to societal norms. Getting hitched complicates life. Then the decisions all have to be consentual with the other person. You may end up in Isaan or moving back home even if you prefer to stay in Thailand.
  8. that was the mamasan there who said "get the eff out of my bar". don't mess with mamasans man. this guy is lucky there weren't a bunch of thugs around to jump in and all he got was a high heel to the head.
  9. haha, reviving the thread after 2 months. and ... why do you ask? you an investigative journalist or what?
  10. maybe not in this instance where there has been war for decades. they would be moved to a place of safety and allowed to continue to exercise their religious rights and culture. no other solutions have worked.
  11. There is 50 million tons of debris there and it will take 20 years to clean up the place.
  12. And then the same author wrote another book called ... drum roll ... THE LAST PRESIDENT
  13. It's about a rich kid having adventures around the world before returning home to "Castle Trump".
  14. Check this out ladies and germs. There was an obscure writer way back when.
  15. who tries on shoes for fun? haha. that's nuts.
  16. I just started watching this video. I don't have time to watch all of it now, but this guy states in the first few minutes. "The paradigm must be broken. Things can't go back to the way they were. It's a time for bold, original outside the box thinking". "Apart from Trump, everyone else is regurgitating failed policies that we've heard for 80 years." Then he gets into Bible Prophecy, which I might start another thread about. Please don't stop eating at McDonald's because of Trump!
  17. check this out man
  18. but all the other politicians have been proposing this "2-state solution" for how many decades now? why has it never worked? and is it really "a war crime" to move people away from a war torn area to a place where they will have peace and still be allowed to maintain their customs and culture? I really don't know. But it might be a revolutionary idea that might work.
  19. Excellent point. Trump is a disruptor. He might be a genius revolutionary way ahead of his time. Not sure what to make of this idea, but Is it really "a war crime" or a revolutionary solution where no previous solution has been found for decades?
  20. maybe also consider investing in a low cost franchise business or an existing business that has been running for years. pros: proven business model, starting a business from scratch is much riskier
  21. Is inflation coming to an end? Just saw some reports that rents are starting to come down in major cities.
  22. my point it I'm not sure there are too many people like that. anyone born a woman will not have a competitive advantage over someone who is born a man. what you call "discrimination" is basically they are trying to make the playing field level. Someone born a man is physically stronger than someone born a woman and will have an unfair advantage in sports.
