Yes, valid points. It might enhance the financial well-being of your wife in the future. Although some expats are well off enough that their women are taken care of sufficiently in thailand. When you have a partner, you can't just think of yourself and it complicates things. You seem like a wonderful human being and I wish your decisions work out for the best.

ok, fair enough. if you have a long list of valid reasons, it's always good to share. for me, i might be forced out of my home country (ie comfort zone) soon due to bad circumstances. so everyone's situation is different.
