Why call it "Operation Epic Fury"?
I can picture any other nations Air Force on the flight line with instructions to attack Iraq. Over the radio the lead fighter would yell "turn back! turn back!" before they even took to the air.

Dealing with subtle but constant anxiety. Any advice that would help?
I know you say therapy has helped with your mental health but it's very possible you still have a significant amount of mental anxiety, which can, in turn, manifest itself into physical ailments. Anxiety can be very tricky and disabling. Don't feel alone, a lot of us have anxiety. In my case it's hard to get me to exercise but when I do it seems to help out a lot. I've also read about a guy who had severe anxiety, so much so he had a panic attack while doing his job as a TV announcer. He quit whatever drugs he was taking and delved deep into meditation, he's much better now.

attic insulation
Yes, any bad insulation needs to go as it will further deteriorate and cause more problems down the road.

Knee Pain When Walking.
I also walk a lot and I started getting knee pain about 2 years ago. After a lot of trial and error I found out the cause was gout. I have high uric acid and now I take Colchicine and Allopurinol to keep the gout at bay. No more knee problem.

Why Is Trump Illegally Bombing Iran?
Other countries sit around and do nothing. Trump promised he would help the Iranian people out. He kept his promise. Other countries? complain, complain, complain.

What is The Biggest Concern as We Age?
My biggest concern is social isolation. I just turned 60 I'm lucky I have 3 or 4 friends but they're usually occupied by their wifes or girlfriends. Making new friends is now much harder than ever before, and I move around a lot. I've been here in Pattaya area for over 3 years I see a lot of guys around my age or in their 70's who are desperate just for someone to talk to..a few have tried to say "hey, let's meet up at so & so restaurant...well, they talk my ear off ENDLESSLY. They're so bad; 0.0 listening skills. So, I take my hits and a few hours later I ghost the hell out of them. They thought they caught themselves a marlin! What I'm saying is I don't want to become desperate to make "friends" like what these guys have resorted to - My list of friends can easily dwindle down from 4 to 3 to 2 to 1 to ZERO. It hasn't happened to me yet but it will if I don't make some changes.

Brand new 2026 Honda CR-V RS doesn't come with Navigation?
Yes, I just met up with him and he told me he went back to Honda and they showed him how to connect to his phone. So far he's really happy to upgrade from his old 2016 Accord to his new Honda CR-V RS Hybrid. He almost bought a used CR-V up in Bangkok but thankfully talked him out of it.

Strange Internet outages(AIS) at odd hours
3 months later - Last week the power went out for just about a second, my TV and PC shut off and I just shrugged as I knew my DSL(copper wire) Internet connection was finished for at least that day. Remember that usually when my Internet goes out it usually takes about 12 hours before it starts working again. Not this time, I've been hotspotting a whole week. So, I called AIS expecting the run around again(remember last time I called AIS I had to call them seven straight days). But this time they said they'd have a technician come out in a few hours. I didn't believe it but sure enough around 1400 today a technician called me and asked if my router was lit up and working properly. I checked and told him no then he said he'd call me back in 10 minutes. 20 minutes later he called and sure enough it was working again. I don't know why a millisecond power outage knocks my internet out for the count. But I guess it requires a visit my a technician to go to the level floor server room and "do something". Thankfully I have a hotspot backup but it's not nearly as fast. This building has way too many problems(not just Internet) so I'll be moving out in August. Maybe Bangkok lol.

Tell me again there is no inflation in Thailand
I've noticed imported items are up 50%-75% since late 2022. Local items haven't increased nearly as much. I just allot myself 8 Euros(10 USD) a day for food and I usually cook at home. I could go down to 4 Euros a day but I'm not skint like most of the other expats here.

Attack of the loud Motorbikes! - Sat night in South Jomtien
Yeah I'm in S. Jomtien and all through Saturday and now it's early Sunday morning there have been dozens and dozens of loud motorbikes going up and down the road next to my Condo building. It's a narrow road from the beach to 2nd road. I've been here 6 months it's never been like this before, and the road has been recently converted from a one way to a two-way. Maybe the loud motorbikers found a new circuit/route to menace on the weekend? I have a feeling that now it's started it's never going to end. I won't be surprised if there's a notice about this in my elevator next week saying they're looking into it and are trying to take action to stop the loud invaders. We shall see.

Is Thailand Really a Smart Place to Grow Old?
The Air pollution is a very serious consideration. and it really is bad year round. I clean my patio every day but it still gets filthy within 12 hours. I even have issues inside, even with two air filters constantly running. The thing is, I really see the air pollution not only getting worse, but exponentially worse. S.E. Asia is booming and that means so much more industry, so many more cars, trucks, buses, motorbikes, all chugging out tons of pollutants. I'm seriously considering living in Thailand for only 4-6 months out of the year, or moving away entirely. I'll find out more after my trip to S. America Mar-May.

2x half million baht donation for police
The extremely loud bikes..they're such a nuisance. I moved to south Jomtien to get away from all the noise..and for now, I'm lucky I don't hear too many outside my condo. Just for the heck of it I took my own survey. I took a 30-45 minute walk to Food Mart and counted how many.. 1. way too loud bikes(average about one per minute) 2. extremely loud bikes(average about one every 4-5 minutes) I can't imagine what it's like to live in Pattaya. It's beyond tolerable, can't even walk down the street. A lot of other "little" annoying things are adding up too lol. I went to visit friends in Bangkok last week, at least people know how to dress. I don't know, I'm travelling out of country a lot this year I'm going to keep my mind open about moving.

Brand new 2026 Honda CR-V RS doesn't come with Navigation?
My friend just bought the top end Honda CR-V RS. First day I noticed it didn't have Navigation..or at the least it's not activated. Maybe they want to charge him for it OR maybe it doesn't come with Nav anymore because everybody uses their phone?

Trump Threatens Tariffs on Nations Rejecting Greenland Takeover
It's the same exact thing as having his name on a building "Trump Tower". Another example is the "Space Force" which has his name/legacy on it. Trump want's more and more and Greenland is a relatively easy target.

Who to see for recurring Achilles heel tendonitis in Chiang Mai?
I had problems with my right knee whenever I tried to walk more than 30 minutes. My friends said it was part of getting old but I just had a feeling it was something else. It turned out I had high uric acid(gout). My doctor told me to stop eating chicken and now I take colchicine every Monday-Wednesday and allopurinol daily.

Bladder tumour
Bumrungrad International is rated pretty high and that 214K is a great price. However, you might want to check with a few other hospitals known for bladder surgery. Vejthani - well-known for its urology department, which utilizes advanced, minimally invasive procedures for conditions like bladder cancer and other bladder issues BNH Hospital: Recognized as the first international private hospital in Thailand, BNH has a highly-regarded urology center and is a hospital of choice for many international patients. Looking to buy a modest house in Pattaya
It's always a great idea to rent here for at least a year before buying. I've lived here a few years I've been to a lot of houses/condos. I guess if you feel you must live here and you must buy here then it's probably way more affordable than other countries. I think we have a lot more leverage in the rental market here. One of my friends was looking to rent a house they wanted 28,000 I suggested he offer 25,000 for two years he ended up getting it 23,000 for a 3 year lease.

Thailand Enforces Tax on All Imported Online Goods
I've seen most everything on Lazada get a price increase since 1 Jan. For example a Chinese brand(Oppo) smartphone went from 22,500 baht to 23,000 baht. Another item went from 320 baht up to 360 baht.
