  3. I'm curious, what topics are the most important, for members in this forum? Visa related, local news, laws and regulations, how-to in Thailand, cost of living, do-and-dont's, personal economy, health, insurance, relationship issues. That's my #1 - #10. What do others prioritize to read about?
  4. Take a few days in Pattaya, report change of adress to pattaya, and then you should be good to go at Jomtien soi 5.
  5. NO. You will get a beating and thrown out. This is a joke, isn't it? Must be.
  6. Troll Of The Year, then. Most nominated are trolls. Period. * Few or no intelligent posts. * Few or no informative posts. * Aggressive, many of them. Poster of the year earlier years, was built on Quality content. WHAT CRITERIA FOR THIS YEAR?
  7. Have you got your winter clothes cleaned, and ready for colder days? Sent mine to the laundry shop today, after reading many news about cold weather on the way. Tourists smile and laugh of us expats when we dress in jeans and long arm jacket, while they still wear shorts. Me too, as I origin from a very cold country with proper winters, snow and ice. But acclimated to Asia, so at 25 degrees, jeans comes on, and a light wind jacket. At 23 degrees a thick proper jacket are needed. At 20 degrees streets will be quiet as Thais seems to hide indoors long before 20'C. What about you?
  8. POTY of THE YEAR! 2023 Suggest worthy candidates, who have made interesting + intelligent contribution of THE YEAR 2023! That disqualify many / most of those mentioned before. Get this On Track.
  9. I think (sure) something is lost in translation, for OP. This is the 3'rd thread OP created, about the same topic, since September. @asia123 Where you stay? Go to a agent, ask there, maybe when you talk face to face you will understand all. Good luck.
  10. Proper insurance of any kind, costs money. You get what you pay for. Read the small print, and all exclusions.
  11. Increase to 90 days + 90 days extension. Simplify requirements for non-o retirement. Less and easier requirements, more remains in country. Stop plan to tax foreigners.
  12. 10 Billion here. 5 Billion to Wallet. Then all the planned Hub's. While export is down, and tourist arrivals don't reach the goals either. ...
  13. Ooooh boy (laughing). Didn't you make a donkey of yourself. I guess the lady of his (lust) love, wasn't too impressed.
  14. Photos with you, and these vehicles? That would shut up the comments
  15. You got your answer, from the Bank. That's it, I'm afraid. Transfer to a adult that you / your son trust, by other ways than bank. WU Wise. Zoom.
  16. How long is a string? How many # of hidden posts can a member have, before receiving a formal warning, or posting holiday of 7-14 days? Not easy to decide, because members will always complain, whatever Mods do. Moderation is a major headache and very exhausting. Mods do this on their free time. Unpaid. Mods has to read posts and watch certain members on their 'to monitor' list. Admins have to watch mods action, they also has 1000 more important things to do, always need more advertising, staff, forum software, servers. Was a mod long time ago (another site). We received 300+ reports per day, + high number of PM's to mods. Can you imagine the workload moderators do? Many of those who complained, had mostly started the issue at hand! Self awareness, are lacking in many people. Selective memory, is another. Some members always disagree because they didn't have the same experience. Therefore in their own mind, the other member is lying. Some members don't spend much time outdoors daily, therefore their experience are very limited - still they post strong opinions against other members. Some members are very aggressive in their replies, they don't see how they come across to other readers. Some members seldom create a new thread, only baiting trolling and attack other members. Often I think a majority of members are immature teenagers. Some longtime members are clearly 'burned out', only attacking other members. I suspect many members are still outside Thailand due to high airfares. And some who haven't had their 'Thai Fix' for years, are angry and aggressive in their posts, trolling baiting away. A small group of wannabe comedians currently post all about nothing, nonsense. Still they have a small fan group. Go figure. Whatever Mods do, some members will always be unhappy.
  17. +1 for Let's Wok. It's tasty and good. My fav is Beef in black pepper sauce (Grab 360 baht + rice 50 baht) but beef sometimes chewy, sadly. Sweet&Sour hong kong style, has been good every time. But small portion (Grab 280 baht and add on rice 50 Baht) Grab add 30% on top of restaurants prices, if I'm not wrong. Even I take that into consideration, my conclusion is: Very good food, but overpriced compared to portion size. I would order much more, if meals cost 50-70% less.
  18. The head of bank of Thailand had recommended to borrow, for the 10k wallet. Reported in other news sources today, that can't be quoted What to believe? Stop listen to TAT fantasy numbers, and start to be realistic. Wow. Previous news was that real estate market was booming, driven by big brother buying lots of properties. Almost weekly, a new Hub will be created. Suggests to further build more bridges, more highways, more more. New PM seems to want to spend spend spend, without any accountant warning him that the country can't afford it.
  19. Took a screenshot posted before, and found it on Lazada
  20. Fav insult? None. Every day is a gift, why waste in on anger and insults? Life in Thailand are much better if one are friendly and polite. Try it.
  21. Well thank you for that, Ralf. No further reply than most foreigners have experienced to get inflated quote, on many services and items, compared to Thai people.
