  1. I paid 1m for a 20 year visa and it includes 1, 2, 7 and 8. Not able to transfer ownership. Looking at the price points for the current visa offerings now under the elite program then this price makes sense. It costs 2.5 million for 15 years today. The visa that is being sold here would have been a great investment at the time given you can transfer ownership. None are transferable now. It probably makes more sense to buy this than what available at this price point or with a bit of negotiating.
  2. Why do you think someone would pay 3.4 million for this visa? The extras when I looked into it in the past are very limited and don't add much value. Unless you were an avid golfer and were happy to play at the same (included) course day in day out then maybe it adds some value.
  3. "potential deportation" otherwise known as how deep are your pockets?
  4. Disgraceful whats happening to these fellas. What else can they put in the headline for charges? What did they rob/assault? the policemans gun after he attempted to draw it on them, luckily they acted quickly or it could have been much worse. There was no assault, If there was we would see photos of policeman black and blue and lying on a hospital bed. There is nothing of the sort. Attempted bribery, exactly what the policemen was chasing them down for, money. The bike was rented, they were not the owners of the bike so surely thats an issue for the bike rental company. ive rented many bikes in Thailand and never once have I checked to see if it was registered.
  5. All the points he is making is referenced in that article to third party sources such as the DOE, IEA, natural history museum etc. Doesn't look to be untrue or misleading if it is then it's those third parties being misleading?
  6. I wonder when the climate change vaccines will be launched to protect us from "global warming" oh no wait its not global warming anymore they had to change that its climate change now lol. Brilliant

  8. It's not hard to comprehend why this stuff happens. No excuse for it of course but They are driving around sucking in all that pollution everyday. High stress environment, living day to day probably sleeping for a few hours here and there when they cant continue and highly likely they are taking at least Kratom to work longer hours if not Yaba on top. It's enough to turn anybody psychotic. Tough existinece
  9. Im not a tipper, its an American thing but I'll tip if I feel the person deserves a tip. Massage place I will drop 100 on a 300 bill because it's an older lady who does a great job. They should charge more than 300. If the service is good in a restaurant I will usually tip. Normally this is in a fancy place, could be 100-200 baht tip. Other times in a restaurant I'll leave the coins or a bit more, same with beers. A bellboy never in my life. I can wheel my own bags but if you want to take them off me and roll them up to my room thats great. Needed to move a fridge a few weeks ago 300m and asked the neighbour if he can help with his Ranger. Very helpful. Gave him 500 baht. He was chuffed dont think he expected anything. Barber costs 170, I leave 200, they do a good job. My room gets cleaned weekly, I leave 50 baht on the bed each week for her. It would be nice to think others do the same to bump up her income but I doubt it. I might start leaving more. Anyway the way I see it is it's enough for her to buy a noodle soup when she finishes work. Ive been finding im tipping more and more the longer im here
  10. I think at least an 8-10% yield would be required given the available returns in other asset classes nowadays. Why did you decide to invest in Cambodia and what locations would you recommend?
  11. The desert of Dubai is flooded from their cloud seeding activities right now. Dozens of countries do cloud seeding. Im sure thats got nothing to do with climate change though!! Thats because of cow farts and V8s. Clown world.
  12. How can mineral/spring water from the shop be RO water. I dont think thats accurate, that defeats the purposes of it being mineral/spring water. All I drink right now is bottled water but i want to filter out any microplastics/other that comes from using bottled water. Plus It's a pain in the ass buying 2 x 8 1.5L pack bottles of water every week.
  13. I prefer healthy water over good tasting water. I would chug a half litre of water down in 10 seconds, taste is not a concern for me. Ive also heard others say they prefer the taste so It seems to be subjective.
  14. Yes single point, to use at one sink for drinking and cooking use. I was looking on home pro and I notice some differences. This one says 3 filtration stage and 2 filter. 0.0001 micron filter https://www.homepro.co.th/p/1171420 The one below says a five stage filtrations system which im guessing is probably not different to the 3+2 above but comes much cheaper https://www.homepro.co.th/p/57811 If im not mistaken UV treatment is to kill bacteria but these systems say they will filter out bacteria? This would be for use in temporary accommodation and I dont think UV would be?
  15. Has anybody got one in their home in Thailand? Any recommendations or tips?
  16. More biometric bull sheet. Ive had no problems transferring money for the last 40 years and I dont need or want a face scan to do it now. Looks like I'll be changing banks to SCB as they dont require it?
  17. Interesting. 100k doesn't buy much in the art space. I wonder what the definition is of classic car in this case. Usually it's a car greater than 25/30 years. I sold a classic car I had late last year. Speaking of, very lenient, police done well on this one, wonder how they were on to it so quick https://www.thephuketnews.com/russians-jailed-for-phuket-kidnap-extortion-91926.php
  18. My Australian bank emailed me a couple weeks ago and said they will be removing the last remaining ATMs and going fully digital. This comes after closing all their branches maybe a year ago. I emailed them asking what am I supposed to do if I want to get some cash. They replied saying there's no need to worry I can withdraw at no charge cash at the other "Big 4" banks ATMs so everything is normal, carry on. I asked them for how long that will be the case. Soon they will start implementing charges and soon after that they will go cashless too. If people allow these small encroachments it won't be long until it's cashless everywhere. This bank is the testing grounds before the other follow suit. They said they would register my complaint. They are testing the pushback but most people just moan about it but dont push back in any way. Im one of the few people I know who still uses cash in Australia when im there. The supremely lazy population who considers it a chore to withdraw money from an ATM is too much hard work for the everyday Aussie who have learned absolutely nothing from the last few years. People are so brainwashed its gotten to the point in Australia that you're labeled a tinfoil hat merchant for wanting to use cash.
  19. Ive noticed that too. Ive even noticed it with people who have bigger bikes often just get waved through. I was thinking about it after reading some reports of Russians kidnapping other Russians recently in Phuket trying to extort them of their cryptos millions. Not sure how that one ended. Having a RR is a different level to a BMW/MB/Audi. People who have the means to own that type of car in Thailand (or anywhere) are very wealthy by any measurement. In a country like Thailand where there is often rules for the rich and rules for others, and everybody here knows that the case, is that somebody you would want to be trying to scam or rob, Do you want to FAFO with somebody who can drop $10-20k to solve a problem? The police would do alot of digging if you told them you have some money to spend on it I dont see headlines of super rich dorks getting kidnapped in Bangkok/Phuket etc? There's tons of rich kids in Thailand. Driving around in their Lambos around Thonglor. Seems like a very easy target for an established or aspiring scammer/robber but doesn't really happen does it?
  20. From a safety point of view is it, do you think you are a target when you drive a car like that?
  21. Nice cars but I doubt it's nice enough for that chap with the RR.
