  1. Lot of work for little reward? Not at all. I wasn't actually doing it to lose weight, I was doing it because I wanted to get better at running, which I did. The weight loss just happened at the same time. Enjoy your HIIT, but I don't think High‐intensity interval training is suitable for everybody, but we are drifting off topic so I'll stop here.
  2. PSA tests are useful but they are not accurate 100% of the time.
  3. There's nothing wrong with serious endurance exercise or sport. The problem with the guy in the article that you linked to, "Case Against Cardio", is that he was doing it the stupid way, the way most people are told not to do it. I have never hear of his so-called "popular wisdom of the past 40 years – that we would all be better off doing 45 minutes to an hour a day of intense aerobic activity" and to "aerobicize at the chronic and sustained high intensities". Now after 40 years he has realised that he was doing it wrong. Good for him, but he must have had his head in the sand for 40 years and trained in a very closed group that did not learn anything in those 40 years. Did someone really tell him to do it that way? I have never heard that or read that in the last 40 years. Anyway, for weight loss, I believe that, like most things, different things work for different people. Walking does nothing for me for weight loss, even if I walk 10-12 miles daily I stay the same weight. However, I know someone who lost a lot of weight from doing the exact same thing. For me, running 40-50 miles a week does help me lose weight but running 20-25 miles a week is not enough for me to lose weight.
  4. A different kind of bonking. ???? The one you're referring to is pleasurable, the one scubascuba3 referred to is a different kind (hitting the wall) and is not much fun at all . But maybe you knew that.
  5. I don't read or take notice of the Thai RDA. I just gave that information for completeness. Yes, opinions on fats, carbohydrates and protein vary greatly. Just read any forum thread on food, diets, health etc, and that's clear. I choose to eat what works for me. I don't expect anyone else to eat the same as me or even think that what I eat is also good for them. Each to their own.
  6. I see both but nutritional information per serving seems to be the most common. See below. I just checked the contents of my refrigerator to look for examples. I have included only the products that have product nutritional information in Thai. Sugar: no nutritional information given. Corn flakes showed the nutritional values both for per serving and per 100g. Milo granola also gave the nutritional values both for per serving and per 100g. A single item frozen meal showed only the nutritional values per serving (the whole meal). Muesli showed only the nutritional values per serving and indicated the serving size. Mixed nuts showed only the nutritional values per serving and indicated the serving size. Popcorn also showed only the nutritional values per serving and indicated the serving size. Bread (Cubic) showed the serving size, energy value per serving and energy from fat. Bread (Farmhouse) showed serving size, total energy per serving and energy from fat. Prunes only indicated serving size and total energy from a serving and energy from fat. Most of the products above also showed the % of Thai RDA for fat, cholesterol, protein, sugars, fiber, sodium, iron and vitamins, etc.
  7. Yes, I think so. Common Iora.
  8. One would like to think so but it is not difficult to invent something and for that something to eventually become a "fact" or "the truth". And if that "fact" spreads widely enough (and people believe it) other people could find a source for it, quote it and add a link to their post, claiming it is as true/a fact from a credible source.
  9. You count the 90 days (for 90 day reporting purposes) from the day you enter the country.
  10. I didn't use a credit card. I used a debit card.
  11. A different style altogether from the above.
  12. A decent song from a decent album.
  13. Half an hour ago. A green-billed malkoha and a Spangled drongo.
  14. volcano
  15. The re-entry permit would expire on the same date as the visa/visa extension expires.
  16. You say you didn't cancel the ED visa but did you have a re-entry permit? And what did Thai immigration say to you and do to your passport when you left the country?
  17. It looks like a Euphorbia bracteata, commonly called a Tall slipper plant.
