  1. And so what if he got a D in Maths? Einstein was a terrible student. Tesla never did his homework. All geniuses failed at school. The rigid constraints stifle the free spirit of true genius. Thankfully Trump managed to rise above it and unfold his true magnificence, like a butterfly hatching from a, a, you know what I mean...
  2. Watch "When Life gives you Tangerines" on Netflix. It's full of Asian people. You'll think you're in South Korea.
  3. I remember these Americana paintings being done with Elvis as well, it's uncanny how Trump resembles Elvis in so many ways.
  4. His grades must be absolutely excellent, because otherwise the anti-Trump media would have published his poor report cards a long time ago. Straight As all the way I guess.
  5. Another intelligent, substantive political thread from the reliable sources of serious comment.
  6. She does, but I'm not sure she lives in Mae Hong Son. If you go down there maybe ask her.
  7. I would choose Mae Hong Son because I know a crazy hot Burmese chick there.
  8. Because it's the best city in Thailand to live in. It hits that sweetspot between all the big city amenities, restaurants, malls and massage options, but you can still drive in the city without 4 hour traffic jams. In addition it is widely considered the city with the best food offering in the world (though probably Bangkok has more). Not to mention the charm of a 1000 plus years, flower festivals etc etc etc.
  9. Yes, he predicted Armaggedon, thereby conferring all power onto himself, which politicians like Boris Johnson kindly abdicated to him, and promptly mandated lockdowns. Except for himself and his strumpet of course.
  10. Well, when the UK's finest started arguing in Cobra on whether wearing masks actually confers any benefit I knew we were in trouble. They didn't even know that. Conflicting studies, sorry. Marginal benefit. Maybe. Possibly in closed spaces. Maybe not. Conflicting studies sorry. They did their best, Neil Ferguson and his crack team. Sadly it wasn't good enough. Predictions way off. Numbers way off. Sweden doing great. I'm sure they believed what they were saying. I'm sure they did their best. But it was just not good enough. Biggest failure of science in our lifetime. Stunning political abdication to clueless scientists. We all paid the bill.
  11. Okay, Presnock, I accept that. But the last time it was your opinion that supported a whole paranoia and orgy of wealth destruction and curtailing of personal freedoms that affected all of us.
  12. I got news for you buddy. You are dying every day. Every single meal you eat causes inflammation in your body. There is no such thing as "completely safe" in this world. Or any other world. If you want "completely safe" may be go live in a bubbble or something. But don't tell other people what to do, because you're clueless. ' Just because you read a scientific paper on X does not make it so, there's another scientific paper saying the exact opposite. If you think you can trust scientists we'll end up like we did during the pandemic with the UK scientists in chief arguing for 7 months whether wearing masks makes any sense at all or not, locking everyone up and giving us totally false predictions. The last time we trusted scientists 7 trillion USD of wealth was destroyed because of the common cold. So STFU about masks, if you want to go out wearing a mask be my guest, but don't tell other people what to do. We will be just fine without your sage advice and paranoia about little tiny particles in the air. Nobody tells me to wear a mask ever again.
  13. it can be both an advantage and a disadvantage, to be sure. But there can be no doubt that the gigantic influx of Chinese into Thailand has resulted in an overwhelmingly pro-Chinese national sentiment in Thailand. It started in the 1100s, almost 1000 years ago.
  14. The thing is about 60% of Thais have Chinese ancestry mixed in. As a country Thailand is racially inclined to support China. Much like Singapore though on a slightly lesser scale.
  15. It is a struggle of titans, to be sure. On paper the future should belong to China. They're smarter, harder working, growing, manufacturing is theirs, steel, cars etc. And yet, and yet....the GDP per capita of the US is around 89000 USD, the GDP per capita of China is around 15000 USD. The unimaginable wealth of the US is staggering. Plus the US have a lead in the finance industry that is unlikely to ever be matched by China, the nation that has no respect for laws and rules.
  16. Don't worry, my grandmother is 93, still alive. She smoked, ate butter and never saw an avocado. Imma be around a looooong time. Yeeeeehaaaaaaa!!!!
  17. Surprisingly China does not figure in the top pharmaceutical companies at all. Of the top 5 pharmaceutical companies 4 are from the USA. Of the top 10 no less than 6 are from the USA. You mention robotics, but only 3 out of 10 of the top ten robotics companies are from China, and they are on the last 3 ranks. https://iotworldmagazine.com/2024/09/12/2439/list-of-top-10-robotics-and-automation-companies-in-london-uk-europe-asia-usa-and-china-in-2024-2025
  18. Utter drivel. I do not wear masks, I do not run the purifiers. Yet healthy as a young puppy. So much for that theory.
  19. This was actually the mainstream belief of most psychologists until quite recently, that homosexuality is a mental illness. it was 1973 it was taken off the list of mental disorders by the APA.
  20. Not just that, these American t-shirts will not even have any threads, they will be 3-D printed with American technology using AI. Customer service wil be Chat GPT. The cost savings will be enormous. Poor Cambodian peasants!
  21. The US will use AI to plan shipping routes and the boats will be unmanned and self navigating and electric, powered by Tesla! America will crush the Cambodian competition with technology the likes of which you have never dreamed of!
  22. You didn't get much further because you showed her you lacked confidence. Where do you get off telling her "Umm, ah, i don't look good in photos". That's not a man with confidence! That's an insecure everyman no woman wants. Look in the mirror! You screwed that up, boy! Always fake confidence. You should have said "You know, I normally charge 10000 Baht on my photo shoots". She laughs, you grab her and kiss her. Bestie thinks "Mmm, when I get farang like that?"
  23. Another gambling loser you would be then.
