  1. I love Bangers and mash. It all comes down to the quality sausages. A good British chicken pie is unhealthy but so good.
  2. This brings me back, I remember those "coconut cakes" in the markets in the UK. Mmmmmm
  3. Where do you get the sausages? You're not cooking a Sunday roast or a pie though, are you? Or fish and chips.
  4. Well, you can still find them with google after my helpful hint. I know I have.
  5. Because if these sites get too popular they get taken down, the more traffic that goes there the worse it is.
  6. This place supposedly has the best grilled cheese and afternoon tea in Chiang Mai: https://www.theyumlist.net/2023/11/rosemary-cafe-bistro-chiang-mai.html
  7. Yes the sites I am referring to are not Torrent sites, but simple MP4 download sites. I find those more convenient. I also pay for Netflix, but of course there' s more out there.
  8. I have two air quality monitors in my house. Both of them have consistently throughout this whole burning season read "good air quality". Sure there was some measurable effect, visibility clearly less, however, as far as burning seasons go this one was exceptionally mild. I never even ran the air purifiers once. That's how mild it was.
  9. It's the warmth of Rod Stewart's voice. He sounds sincere and warm. Plus he had those Alpha male vibes. He had something.
  10. Because these sites have a short shelf life if too many people know about them they get targeted and have to close down. The less people know about them the better.
  11. This place supposedly has the best roast dinner in town. But I can't vouch for it. https://archersbar.net/
  12. Neither is Indian food but I'd still accept it on this thread. For the simple reason that it has become British. I mean baguette is Austrian not French, but you would have to be heartless not to grant it to the Frenchies.
  13. Chippy at the gate: https://www.chiangmaicitylife.com/citynow/social-life/live-events/opening-day-of-chippy-at-the-gate/
  14. So I really miss British food. I don't know why it gets a bad rep around the world, sunday roasts, fish and chips, pies, crumpets, if you go to any good restaurnts with British food or can source good British products, share it here.
  15. I suppose things in the UK are going downhill economically, so certain sectors of the population are resorting to whatever means to make some cash. Imagine if Brits become the new Albanians.
  16. Reagan lived in a completely different time. The dawn of globalisation. What's right in one era can be wrong in another.
  17. There are sites that let you download virtually all major tv series for free. I won't post them of course.
  18. Whatever the Thais did about burning, it's working. This year the burning season hardly affected Chiang Mai at all. Not in the sense that your quality of life was impacted, you could still go out cycling, leave windows open. No issues. Minus 20 in Canada however, well, no thanks.
  19. Lol, I think you'll find justice requires a court process. It's not enough for politicians and their assorted servants to say "justice" was done. Nobody argued a case for Ben Laden, that's the point. There was no court case. Ergo no justice. Of course Ben Laden was guilty as hell, he said so. However, justice was not done. There was no court process. Thatcher had sent in the UK commando forces to Argentina. The legality of Obama's, Bush's or Thatcher's actions is neither here nor there. However, we need to accept that ALL of them were killers, or ordered killers to go kill people. This is what leaders do.
  20. What does that have to do with Trump though ?
  21. Exactly, totally ludicrous. The "report" is basically an article by the Washington Post. They claim there is "chatter" people will risk not paying tax based on a "prediction" by IRS officials. So basically people fighting to stem the job cuts. What is the chatter exactly, have they been monitoring Whatsapp groups where those intending not to pay tax congegrate? The Washington Post is really scraping the barrell with this. Nothing to see here.
  22. There is no need you can get strong anaesthetics online. Not fentanyl, but they'll do the job.
  23. Trump suppports anti-semites? What are you smoking? He's more pro Israel than most Jews.
  24. Sending out death squads to kill human beings is not "poppycock", it is precisely what Obama and Bush have done. So did Thatcher. So before you accuse Putin of being a killer you may want to look in your own backyard. As for the killing of Ben Laden having been "lawful" you have a strange idea of due process, what court was actually involved?
  25. Oh ok, thanks for clarifying. I was referring to Obama's killing of Osama Ben Laden which he famously watched on TV live. Bush also sent out killing squads and famously favoured torture. Thatcher sent the UKCF, the Commando forces, into the Falklands. Like I said, the very vast majority of political leaders are murderers.
