  1. No, it's not a bank, so not providing the required bank statement
  2. Geez, guy posted he was stamped in on July 16 with entry until 13 September (which is correct 60 days). You then posted calculator says June 16, a month ago, gives 14 August entry, suggesting he was ripped off a day. I was simply pointing out you calculated the wrong month
  3. His arrival was July 16, not June 16, so September 13 is correct for 60 days
  4. I have a mate currently on an Ed visa for Thai language, which he has 3 months left. Is it really as easy as getting a letter from his current school, show statement for equivalent 500k in his home bank, and he gets a 5 year multi-entry visa that provides 180 days per entry for only 10k baht. So when his current Thai course ends in 3 months, he never has to enroll again as he will have a 5 year visa. Something is missing in the detail?
  5. They require the equivalent of 500k baht in any of your bank accounts, not 500k baht in a Thai bank account
  6. Where has it been stated it's temporary? Previous increases to 45 days were clearly temporary as they had a published start and end date, whereas this doesn't. Also Royal Gazette would have said temporary if it was?
  7. Or people doing muay thai, or going to cooking classes, or concerts....
  8. What's the point of applying and paying for a 60 day tourist visa when you can enter visa exempt for free for the same 60 days (started yesterday)
  9. I've done 3 or 4 visits of 60 days per year in last 2 years (using 30 day visa exempt + 30 day extensions) so imagine it will be the same, no problem for most
  10. Where's the source for such a statement (I don't mean the agent video). Of the Embassies Ive seen currently promoting the 60 day visa exempt, none have said can only use two times a year by air. Sounds like agent may just want to fill their border run vans by taking 'air' out of the options
  11. Thai Embassy in Australia has been updated with 60 day visa exempt details. It also confirms 60 day visa exempt can be extended by 30 days
  12. You're a little behind. Apparently 60 day visa exempts have been issued since 4pm today and this post said DTV has been gazetted today as well
  13. So then just use DTV to stay 180 days per year and then you are not a tax resident. Pretty simple. I've been living 50:50 between Australia and Thailand since 2018 so DTV would have been perfect instead of so many visa exempt + extension trips. Sounds like a great visa, especially for people splitting their living time between countries.
  14. Well the answer to that question is pretty much they live all over Pattaya, just like other nations
  15. Amazing Thailand. It really is a 5 year multi-entry visa that gives 180 days per entry unlimited times during 5 year validity. It also allows 180 days extension on every 180 day entry. This part in gazette seems new though, how do you apply for long term tourism rather than working as a nomad 😀 (3) Aliens who wish to reside in Thailand. To travel and work remotely, including foreigners who wish to come and stay for long-term tourism.
  16. Try the many Brit pubs, Witherspoons, Nicky's, Beer Hub, Sportsman, Robin Hood, Dicey O'Reillys, Hemmingways, etc.
  17. Are any Agents offering the fake "professional portfolio showcasing digital nomad, remote worker, foreign talent or freelancer status" yet?
  18. No you can't. For e-visa you must provide proof of residence in the country you are applying from (and e-visa not allowed to be applied in Thailand). And not all countries have access to Thai e-visa, Australia only got it in March this year
  19. Well that clears up any doubt. 180 days per entry, not 180 days per year
  20. Asked and answered your own question 😆
  21. DTV is now on the official Thailand e-visa application site. Can't get any more official than that
  22. Facebook has multiple posts of this same stamp from several different people so no-one would know who the original source was anymore. Even Asean Now FB page over one hour ago used the same Pic to announce 60 days now active (but they didn't announce here?) https://www.facebook.com/share/p/jBqRLodKtD1d4Ahn/?mibextid=oFDknk
  23. Because most would not be a digital nomad and don't want to sign up for Thai language or Thai cooking classes for 5 years, if thats even possible I'm happy with my 1900 baht per year retirement extension
  24. Are they Russian who would get a 60 day stamp anyway? Edit: I found the posts on FB and people are asking if Russian but poster is not answering
