  1. It's driven past me on Beach Road four times now so finally got some more pics
  2. I didn't feel hot so maybe some fan/aircon was blowing in the back? Wasn't on their long enough to check
  3. I just caught a baht bus on beach road and am still in shock (sorry for bad Pic but didn't want to get other passengers) It was a new bigger pick-up (higher than the normal smaller one) with it all enclosed except the back and it had soft padded vinyl seats. Also excellent large hand rails and steps for older people climbing in Very comfy and still best bargain at 10 baht. A fleet of these and Pattaya will massively improve their public transport system 😀
  4. The guy just doesn't get it. Has he ever made a post where he didn't mention these stalled proposed regs? Anyway, for the proposed new tax regs to come in they'll be at the start of a new tax year. Given that the next federal election would be sometime between July and September 2025 I'd say the earliest tax change would be 1 July 2026 so a non-issue for now (if ever as that will be a whole government term they didn't implement them)
  5. Pretty simple, she arrived 10 July so likely has the correct 8 Aug Stamp for a 30 day visa exempt entry. If OP is not counting the first and last days that = the 28 days he's claiming (very common mistake)
  6. Just to be clear, what day did she arrive and what is stamp date. Let everyone see if you are miscounting days or not
  7. Why would you transfer a visa exempt stamp, just leave showing new and old passport
  8. Didn't you just get all the answers to this question in your other recent thread?
  9. So yet another nobody stating made up rules as fact rather than the speculation it actually is
  10. You have to be kidding me. "As Roi Et is my Immigration office, I was alerted to it by a friend who saw a YouTube clip where it was mentioned by Integrity Legal" So alerted by a friend, who saw a youtube video which mentioned someone... No wonder the law excludes heresay, nevermind 3 times removed heresay
  11. You do know they only open 6pm right?
  12. I had a non-imm O e-visa from Australia and I applied 3 weeks before expiry to get my 12 month extension (can apply for extension anytime between 1-30 days remaining). I applied, picked up passport next day On other points, you cannot get a 30 day extension to a non-imm O, only the 12 months. The 90 day report only starts 90 days after granting of 12 month extension
  13. You can only enter before valid until date of 3 Jan.
  14. I see your point and agree, but that is a completely different situation to what the OP is saying. He clearly asks has anyone applied for an e-visa while located in Thailand, not has anyone received an e-visa while in Thailand after correctly applying in their home country Btw, my non-imm O e-visa took less than 72 hours to recieve, so not sure why so many people wouldn't apply for e-visa early enough
  15. OP, once you're on a 90 day non-imm O Visa (Retirement) you can get a Re-entry Permit which will allow you to leave and come back before expiry of the 90 day visa. You also need to allow enough time to apply for the 12 month extension before your 90 day visa expires.
  16. I would think as a minimum they would deny entry, not give them visa exempt. They just found proof someone applied for an e-visa while in Thailand, therefore trying to gain entry by committing fraud against Thailand officials
  17. If someone did it, several ways to get busted when presenting it to IO: (1) incoming boarding passes need to be presented to IO with the e-visa. No boarding passes from e-visa issue country, an easy flag for deeper questioning (2) e-visa issue date would be during a time your passport says you were stamped into Thailand, so there's the proof I'm wondering what the penalty would be as an appllicant obviously made a false declaration to get the e-visa and proof is right there in the Passport.
  18. To do this you have to falsely accept the initial acknowledgement you cannot apply if in Thailand and then lie in the very first question of what country are you applying to and what is your current location. So basically you are asking if I do something illegal by making false declarations to a Thai Embassy, what's the chance I'm caught?
  19. OP seems like very bad advice. Regardless of no fine, who wants a "overstay xxx days" stamp in their passport. If your stamp expires on the weekend or holiday Monday, simply get the new stamp any day in the week before. New stamps start from expiry of old stamp so nothing to gain by waiting until last minute.
  20. Stop making stuff up. I used that company and know for a fact they only go if they have enough numbers to make it worth it (they don't go daily like the cheaper van companies piling 9 into a van). OP is simply trying to get enough people so van goes when he needs it (they told me they need 5 minimum)

    Will Advice

@Capiscum I am similar to you so I have set up two wills, one in Australia to leave all my Aussie assets to my two sisters and one in Thailand leave all my Thai assets to my Thai ex-wife. If I leave my Thai condo to my sisters they wouldn't have a clue how to deal with Thai law and I understand if a condo 'willed to a foreigner' is not sold in 12 months Thai government can seize it. So much better to leave to a Thai. One thing to remember, tell NZ Lawyer about Thai Will (or Thai about NZ if done first). All Wills generally say this Will supercedes all others, but my Lawyer instead added "...except my Thailand Will [details added]". I could have unknowingly canceled my Thai Will if I hadn't brought it with me to show them.
  22. So if I do tick both box I can get 2, one I can use and copy for car/bike licences and other original I can use to buy car? Or do I need a separate application to buy car?
  23. Thanks, but not a lot of info gained from that thread. It's more about can you get a Residence Certificate or Licence on visa exempt with no outcome whether he got it or not.
  24. Next step of my Jomtien retirement process is to get a Residence Certificate in order to get a licence and buy a car. I'm thinking I need a photo, copy of my Condo Chanote, copy of passport ID page and Visa page, and TM30? Do I need to have a 90 day report done first as thats not until Sep? Do I need two for licence and car purchase or can I copy it? Is there a valid until date? Thanks for any advice
  25. Hilarious, you are in your own little World ignoring all the people pointing out your misunderstanding of the proposed rules you love so much (that may never be implemented).
