  1. Yeah, maybe the Indonesian forum where it's apparently banned 😆
  2. So as a fully paid up cheap charlie member until 31 Oct, I'm wondering what to do with my member card since they banned me from checking daily specials. Maybe I'll just drop it on a table at Nikkom Court tomorrow for some needy person to enjoy the absolutely fantastic 99 baht 5 star meals 😀
  3. I just went on Cheap Charlies Facebook site and was shocked how all of the food reviews were so positive without a single criticism (I mean it was sickening how fantastic the food apparently is, 5 stars) Now this has not been my experience after I bought the membership card that gives all daily specials at 99 baht. While it could be considered great value, I don't think any of the food has ever tasted great to me (been 4 or 5 times) Anyway, I thought I'd post that tomorrow's sirloin steak special was not very good when I had it a couple of weeks ago, but what else to expect for 99 baht and within 2 minutes I was banned from their Facebook page. Now I understand why all the posts are so positive, anything else is just banned 😆
  4. Waiting for this as the next IOC sanctioned fight https://www.facebook.com/share/r/keHAZNN8iPpX6kFE/?mibextid=D5vuiz
  5. It's nothing to do with being transgender. Two "females" were disqualified last year because they had way too high testosterone and were DNA tested as men with XY chromosomes. If someone has a Y chromosome they are a man. How can you defend that these same two "DNA tested as men" are now allowed to beat up women in the Olympic boxing ring? Unsurprisingly the two "DNA tested as men" will now win gold medals in women's boxing.
  6. So you stay supporting the IOC as is your right but it seems most of the rest of the social media world think it's a disgrace and has ruined boxing at this Olympics
  7. Mate it's stated in so many articles about the IOC response. Here's one example of so many saying passport is only check The organization added "with previous Olympic boxing competitions, the gender and age of the athletes are based on their passport," https://www.foxnews.com/sports/ioc-defends-olympic-boxers-gender-eligibility-controversy-amid-firestorm
  8. The IOC said the only test they do to determine whether male or female is to check what their passport says. So IOC have no credibility whatsoever.
  9. "He" was DNA tested at last year's world championships and was disqualified because "he" had man XY Chromosomes. So yeah, I know "he" is a man
  10. Never heard of it so won't be missed by me
  11. I know it will never happen as too much training went into this but I wish every fighter just quits when the bell is rung. Would show the IOC what a farce this is as they hand him a gold medal with no fights. Anyway, next fighter Hamori doesn't give a <deleted> it's a man. She told reporters: "I'm not scared. I don't care about the press story and social media. If she or he is a man, it will be a bigger victory for me if I win."
  12. Yep, how does this DNA tested as XY chromosome get to box as a female (woman are XX, men XY) Don't even need a DNA test, it's obviously a man
  13. Ok if you think 10 minutes at city hall to have it all done and dusted in one go is overly time consuming compared to people messaging and phoning over several days, which was what I was giving an alternative to. I always combine it with a Terminal 21 visit so getting there is not a problem for me Now if only they provided valid QR codes it'd be simple for everyone
  14. Condo Tax QR codes have never worked for me
  15. As an alternative to all the above line messaging and bank transfers with follow-up messages to confirm payment (all done over several days), you can just do an easy trip to City Hall, especially now that payment deadline has passed. Step 1: Staff gives you ticket # and when called they check your complete record on computer and will either confirm invoice amount is correct or will add past unpaid and/or any late penalty. Step 2: you'll get another # for payment counter in same room where you pay the cash and get receipt The room is on the ground floor underneath the huge cement steps (I just waived my tax invoice and security pointed me to right room). Time taken for the 3 times I've been is 10-15 minutes and room is air-con with plenty of seating. Was a really easy process for me
  16. Why would you need an agent to book you a medical appointment or cooking class? Use google and do it yourself. Would an agent really bother for 500-1500 baht fee? Providing a fraudulent bank statement with e-visa application can have you lose your application fee and possible future ban from Thailand They don't do overnight visa runs to Vientiane now so that would be a new thing and likely just a taxi service as you have to apply in person at the Embassy and have weeks in advance appointments that agents are currently banned from applying for (Laos would be the same)
  17. And how are agents going to do that when you can't apply for the DTV from within Thailand and you have to be the one actually applying for DTV e-visa from your current country of residence (or actually go to Laos or Cambodia to apply in person)
  18. I can picture it now. OP comes back after 14 days to get non-imm O stamp and they say, no not approved, you forgot something in application, we tried to call you but you not answer or call back!
  19. Probably a covid mask wearing mental break-down considering it's from 2021. Why show such an old video making it look like it just happened?
  20. I just completed this quiz. My Score 20/100 My Time 81 seconds
  21. You need to look at the requirements of the Embassy you are applying to. It's on the Thai Embassy London website. 4. Financial evidence: amount of no less than £11,000 https://london.thaiembassy.org/en/page/destination-thailand-visa
  22. Well I'm from Aus convict stock and I still got 100% 😀
  23. Yep, this really is a game changer. With my current non-imm O I can stay in Thailand for 1900 baht per year + 3800 baht per year for multi re-entry permit. So 28,500 baht for 5 years. For DTV it seems I can book my same annual check-up at Bangkok Hospital I always do and get a 5 year multi-entry visa. Total cost in 5 years would be: Initial visa - 14,400 baht (A$600 or US$400) Yearly extension: 1900 baht x5 Yearly border hop: 3500 baht x4 (no need in last year) So total cost is 37,900 baht Oops, non-inm O is 9400 cheaper without being forced to leave the country once a year. In fact if only get the single re-entry permit to match the one DTV departure, non-imm O is 23,400 baht cheaper over 5 years. Or don't leave at all in 5 years and save 28,400 over the DTV
  24. So I imagine the following safety measures will be taken after this accident (1) tell people there's a buzzer to let driver know when you want to get off so he can stop (2) if you don't want to push the buzzer please don't just walk off a moving baht bus, bang on back window instead (3) if you do choose to walk off a moving baht bus please wear a helmet (4) also do not jump off a moving motorbike (5) or jump out of a moving car This is totally on the passenger not the baht bus driver
