  1. DTV e-visa page is now offline with a "being fixed" message
  2. 10,000 baht is the Thai published rate so it will be much more from Thai Embassy/Consulates due to applied exchange rate, just like all other visa fees. Examples: Tourist Visa - 1000 baht (but costs $40 = 1440 baht) Non-imm O - 2000 baht (but costs $80 = 2880 baht) DTV - 10,000 baht (but costs $400 = 14,400 baht)
  3. That wasn't my point. I was pointing out cost is 14,400 baht, not the 10,000 that's been advertised
  4. Says in the other 60 day thread that 60 days didn't happen. Shows a 30 day stamp from today
  5. Also on the Thai Embassy Washington website, cost of DTV is US$400, which is same price as the 10 year O-X visa and equals about 14,400 baht.
  6. So weird it has what someone needs to apply for DTV but still has no info on how it actually works (eg 180 days maximum per year for 5 years). You also cannot apply for it as US only does e-visa and DTV is not in the e-visa drop down list. So pretty meaningless having it on the Washington embassy website. That aside, will many people actually be able to provide the proof of employment needed anyway: 5. Employment contract or employment certificate in their country or professional portfolio showcasing digital nomad, remote worker, foreign talent or freelancer status
  7. Just read on the London Thai Embassy site what happens if you submit false info "The applicants must provide genuine documents and information. If the applicants are found to provide false documents or give false information, their applications will be rejected and be reported for further determination of appropriate action and future prohibition to enter the Kingdom of Thailand." Why would anyone risk a ban from Thailand by saying you're in home/resident country for e-visa when you're not?
  8. Probably rated a bit high there, I rated it a 5 😆
  9. Well no, to live in Thailand for 180 days per year for 5 years.
  10. It's already been announced. 60 days visa exempt from Monday 15 July
  11. Well others must love it, still #2 on Netflix
  12. I'm surprised it was allowed to be resleased. Shows illegal casino's, drugs being sold out of a pizza place, a loose married Thai woman rooting strangers, murder with guns and corrupt Thai Police. All it needed was a couple of Ladyboys robbing some gold chains from Indians on beach road to be fully authentic 😉
  13. So what date does her stamp say? If 8 August it's 30 days
  14. Why do we need yet another 60 day visa exempt thread when the main one is pinned at top of page?
  15. Still can't believe they've kept the tourist visa at 60 days while giving free visa exempt also for 60 days. Makes the SETV obsolete unless you need more than 2 land crossings per calender year
  16. Why would it say anything about extensions as this has never been mentioned as changing. It will be 30 day extension allowed just as it was for 30 and 45 day visa exempts
  17. This press release says 4 announcements effective 15 July (DTV is announcement #3) “Minister of Interior Anutin Charnvirakul has reviewed and signed all four announcements. They are now in the process of being presented to the prime minister for signing. After that, they will be published in the Royal Gazette, and all announcements will take effect July 15 onwards.” https://thethaiger.com/news/national/tourists-from-93-countries-can-now-come-to-thailand-visa-free
  18. Doesn't seem to happen in the old baht bus so why should this happen in the new?
  19. Anyone watch it? I got tired of reading sub-titles but was good to see Pattaya scenery in a movie (and hear them pronounce Pattaya the right way) Where's that underground casino? And I want to find Angel Pizza, looks like filmed on soi 13/4? It's now dropped to #2 most watched movie this week so time to get it back to #1
  20. Vietnam now offers 45 day visa exempt for many countries (including UK) and e-visa required by US and Aus/NZ is now 90 days (single or multi-entry)
  21. I I didn't, but Kinnock did let me know already. Hope they don't run out of elec halfway down beach road 😀
  22. Are you a <deleted> idiot? These rules aren't in place so they're fine. If somehow they do come into law, how many times do I have to say go back to Australia on holiday for 45 days and then they're good for 3 years as an Australian resident for tax I've posted that at least 4 times that proposed rules say 45 days in Australia in any of last 3 years is all that's required. Why do you continuously ignore this and keep posting your made up rule that 183 days out of Australia is an automatic government declaration that someone is declared a non-resident for tax (absolute BS)
  23. So again you ignore that proposed rules say it is one 45 day entry in any of the last 3 years to retain Australian tax residence. There's no point responding to you any further as you obviously do not understand the proposed rules you keep quoting as fact I've reported you as posting against this forum rule: 5. You will not use ASEAN NOW to post any material which is knowingly or can be reasonably construed as false But apparently none of the mods know you're continuously posting porky's in this sub-forum so your free to keep posting your BS
  24. You've been corrected on this numerous times by multiple people on various threads and yet you continue to ignore and keep posting your scare mongering rubbish. The actual proposed "bright line test" states: "If an individual is present in Australia for 183 days or more in an income year, the individual will be considered an Australian tax resident.". Your constant twisting of that proposal to say anyone outside Australia for 183 days will automatically be considered a non-resident by government tracking us is at best saying you don't understand the rules you're quoting, while worst case is you plan to continue to keep scare mongering by posting this same false information over and over You've never once acknowledged the proposed rules allow one 45 day entry to Australia in any of the previous 3 tax years. This is also the answer to your question on how long term residents of Thailand can keep their Aussie Residency. Go backpacking on the gold coast for 6 weeks and you're a resident
  25. Compared to old faithful
