  1. Except you just did have a problem. Yep, he just had his first problem after using COD for 10 years. I use COD all the time, apart from a very few times when using wallet would give me an extra discount, but I will not do that again. Once I ordered a motorcycle battery and paid with the wallet. I always follow the delivery status on the lazada website, so i knew the battery would b delivered that day, and since I work from home I am rarely absent. So I was waiting for the delivery, which didn't arrive, until I checked again and the status was delivered. So I called Lazada and informed them there was no delivery. After a while I received a call back that the delivery person had decided to leave the battery on top of my letterbox, no calls, no doorbell. I have 2 doorbells by the way. Of course, when I went outside to check, the parcel was gone. What else you expect? It took me quite some discussion to get it refunded, and Lazada didn't take any responsibility, because the refund came from the local logistics.
  2. Barclays is closing account from expats for the same reason other European banks do the same. My Belgian bank account, which I had for over 30 years, and which I never used in Thailand and had a steady sufficient balance, was closed 2 - 3 years ago simply because I live in Thailand. Other expats had their accounts also closed, since there was an email from my embassy that they had asked the bank for answers. To open an account with another bank in Belgium so I could move the balance wasn't an easy task either.
  3. So because others also do it makes it right in your eyes. If ever there was a poor excuse
  4. Did you try to read and comprehend the OP before you commented? FYI, you were ripped off, the OP not. Nobody sends Thai baht to Thailand, unless they want to lose on the exchange rate
  5. For your eyes only. Enjoy guys
  6. You can see the time the screenshot was taken in the top left corner.
  7. Your loss if you want to insist on being an idiot.
  8. Did you have to search long on the internet to find that picture? Lazada wallet is open to foreigners, using it for years already
  9. You're always well-informed about those places and what is going on in there. Enough said
  10. Do you get refunds from Lazada, that weren't paid by credit card, directly to your bank account.
  11. Lazada put every refund in the wallet, and you have to withdraw it. I think if it was paid by credit card, the refund will be issued to the CC directly
  12. Why you think lazada would refund anything that wasn't ordered through their platform. The OP paid for something that he never ordered
  13. In 2020 there were no flights from Europe because of covid duh
  14. Not so difficult to realize, when you consider last year Chinese weren't allowed to travel and there were no flights either. So it was a 1,121% increase of zero
  15. Didn't that just happen in the UK?
  16. I don't know about that, because in my blue book I only see a registration date, not a build date. And why would anyone want to register their car 9 months after they took ownership, if they didn't plan to profit from it?
  17. Why you didn't run it on red plates till 2025, then sell it as new? And then those foreigners dare to say that the second hand car tents are cheating
  18. You mean the left will direct us in the right way?
  19. That is what I thought and why I asked the question. Not just me that thinks that way then But I believe the Thai nationals that get the money deposited in their accounts are Thai tax residents
  20. You could easily calculate from the usage figures I gave. Last bill was 2780 baht, previous month because of less irrigation needed, was 2530 baht. Before the discounts it would be close to 4K because of the high prices per unit, but for the last 10 years it has been between 3 and 3.5K
  21. What will happen is the same as under the previous Thaksin populist governments. If you are here long enough you will remember that he gives money away as if there is no tomorrow/ He gave 1 million to about 80.000 villages, that is 80 BILLION. Money has to come from somewhere, and from what I remember it was saved on infrastructure. The roads under the last Thaksin government started to look like those in Cambodia
  22. A few lights, fan, tv. A little better than cave dwelling. Not sure about that. I have a swimming pool of which the 1.5Hp pump runs 8 hours a day. An irrigation system that of which the 2hp pump runs 1 hour every day. A 1Hp well pump to fill the tanks since i don't have city water. I have fans and aircons, 1 aircon 1200 BTU runs 9 hours a day, fans run the other 15 hours. PC is on 15 hours a day. Of course I have other appliances using electric throughout the day, like a security system with 8 cameras running 24/7 etc. My average usage is 750 units per month, so i think with 300 units the average household does get a whole end.
  23. Huh>? It's free delivery
