PM asks Microsoft to invest in regional data centre in Thailand
BenStark replied to webfact's topic in Thailand News
Obviously you are not the brightest light in the shed if you need explaining. How can a Windows version, downloaded from the official Microsoft website, but not licensed (activated), can become a pirated version. Microsoft tolerates this even, because all they do is give you a nag screen "this copy of Windows is not activated" and no updates, but that doesn't turns it in a pirated Windows. -

Must get pretty desperate, hope they give him a cheat sheet where he can look at to be reminded what they are striking for. -

That is also what I would have thought, but I googled for 30 watt wiring size, and all results were US quotes, claiming 18 AWG was what I needed.v Some even suggested 16 AWG Here are just 3 results https://www.engineeringtoolbox.com/amps-wire-gauge-d_730.html https://battlebornbatteries.com/battery-cable-size/ https://info.waytekwire.com/wire_sizing

Thai Workers Are A Joke

Ok thanks for confirming that you deflected on the topic at hand, while you were well aware what it was about, only to show off your imaginary superiority, as in every other thread. See I took the time to educate you -

My question was not what should I use a DVD writer for, so thanks for going off topic on each and every thread you enter. I can get wires from 0.25 - 0.50 - 0.75 mm, but that was also not my question. The question was why I need a 1mm wire for a 2.5A 30W load.
-
The 16A 220V breakers in my CU have a 1.5mm wiring, which is deemed appropriate. 16A x 220V = 3520 Watt. Now I'm building a PC and have to extend the power wire to my DVD writer, which consumes about 30 Watt at 12 Volt = 2.5A When I search what size of wiring I need, I get as result 1mm. What am I missing here?

Thai Workers Are A Joke

I'm surprised you didn't say you live here 200 years already. Anyway, you claim to work for a multinational, what that has to do with the topic of this thread, which is construction labour qualification, or rather the lack of it? -

Since when is the installation service from Home Pro free. Good try again at apologism, but once again, no cigar for you -

And why they would be extras off their margins, since the customer has to pay for the works on top of the product purchase. Since HP is a big player in this segment, and a Thai professional company with many years experience, one would think they have the knowledge with where to find QUALIFIED workmen. As it is obvious that this is not the case, maybe it's because qualified workmen in Thailand are as rare as hen's teeth. -

When you build a house you need to be present 25 hours per day, or things go wrong. I built a house more than a decade ago and everything, and then I mean everything from the floor to the roof and all in between, had to be done at least twice. Some parts 3 times before it was correct. What was supposed to be a 9 month construction job took 34 months before I could move in. Right now opposite my house a foreigner with a Thai partner is building a fancy restaurant. I told him about my experience, and he laughed, and said his place would be finished in 3 - 4 months. That was October 2022, and as of today I estimate another 6 months to get it finished, if he's lucky -

Diesel Prices to Drop by 2 Bt /Liter Tomorrow
BenStark replied to snoop1130's topic in Thailand News
Pure populism, lowering diesel prices when crude on the world market has increased by about 20% in the last month. Same for the electricity charge that will be lowered, while the cost to produce it has increased at the same time. You remember last PT government, where similar populism was applied, but infrastructure was zilch, nada, nothing, and roads were in the worst condition I've ever seen them, because there was no money? A similar debacle is on the horizon, and I'm sure a new coup as well.
