I thought it was weird too, I had to tell her I didn't want to send more over here because there is no interest applied on the account, and that I keep the equivalent of many 10's of millions of baht in the USA instead....then she stopped questioning me about money.
-
I keep 1 million in the account to avoid issues and have money for spending, the Immigration officer was concerned about only 500k in the account....this would be the Nonthaburi office. Whenever I go for extensions there, no two officers ever seem to handle things the same, the women officers being the worst so far.

Medical when I first came here in 2014 was cheap, not so anymore. Also, if they want quality tourist to come here, they may wish to do something about safety on the streets, sidewalks, and crosswalks. Unless they are hoping tourist get maimed while travelling and can be forced into paying the overinflated medical costs?

Probably another knife in the back, lets hope they learned something from the first time.

OK, I'm just going to use the software version of ignore then....bye.

I thought we had an agreement? NO?
-
I would hope MFP says "NO" if any Junta aligned parties are in the PT coalition.
-
So now people should follow and support politicians who lie to them for their vote and backstab those they enter an MOU with? To top it off, these voters should now be expected sell their souls to the devil by accepting the Junta members into their party?!?! So basically, integrity means nothing, power is everything, and the people should just accept that their vote means nothing? OK.

I'm wondering the same thing, also wondering if the TM30 needs to be updated. The reason I wonder about this, is that the barcode on the 90 day includes the old passport number, and the TM30 shows the old passport number as well (next to my name). My new Passport just came in today, so within the next week I'll make a trip to Nonthaburi Immigration and find out what they require when I get the stamps moved to my new passport.

Depending on which IO, they can be pretty picky, they get nervous when you are close to the 400K. Last year I paid off one of our townhouses, and had only 500K in my account when I went in for extension, they weren't even all that happy with that much. This year I've been keeping the balance close to 1 Million Baht, but they still wanted to know where more money would come from, like I am supposed to send all my funds from the US to here to please them.....Its getting annoying!

Buckle up! New law makes taxis ensure passenger wear safety belt
lordgrinz replied to snoop1130's topic in Thailand News
That's how 3rd World countries operate, Thailand has no intention of moving forward, just sideways until everyone forgets the problems. Make grand gestures, not follow through on them, spend money on committees that never amount to anything, then rinse repeat. Thailand will never change, it doesn't actually want to, all it wants is more money for the pigs lining up at the trough. The RTP is one of the most useless police forces on the planet. -
Pheu Thai and Bhumjaithai announce deal to form government
lordgrinz replied to snoop1130's topic in Thailand News
Ah, the biggest pig at the trough, all decked out in gaudy rings and what must be a borrowed watch from a dead friend. Where is his happy smiling more gaudy shadow, the heroin dealer? -
Pheu Thai and Bhumjaithai announce deal to form government

They've been programmed from birth to be obedient slaves to the state, they don't subscribe to the phrase "respect is earned, not given". -
Pheu Thai and Bhumjaithai announce deal to form government
lordgrinz replied to snoop1130's topic in Thailand News
The alliance of hungry backstabbing evil little pigs, just needs to add Prawit and the heroin dealer to the mix to make it complete.- 80 replies

Move Forward apologise to supporters as Pheu Thai forms new coalition
lordgrinz replied to webfact's topic in Thailand News
This move by Pheu Thai is about as dumb as Yingluck's move at amnesty for Thaksin back in 2013, which started the beginning of the end of her reign. It's dumb a move, so much so, that it questions the intelligence of Pheu Thai leaders, including the exiled criminal himself.- 41 replies

Pheu Thai breaking with Move Forward to form its own coalition
lordgrinz replied to snoop1130's topic in Thailand News
Yeah, I'm pretty skeptical of "successful" businessmen in Thailand. Knowing how this place runs, its hard to believe in their ethical business practices.
