  1. Demand justice?!? Does he know what country he lives in? LOL ????
  2. What is a Police General's salary per month?
  3. I knew I should have waited a little longer, its at 36.545 right now and climbing ????
  4. There, fixed it. The prison authorities and police officers are waiting on the 74 year old PM's every whim , there for him at all times, day or night.
  5. So straight from his lavish prison suite to his posh mansion, then back to dirty politics again, what a martyr he is to the cause. Bless his innocent soul!
  6. Former members of corruption inspecting new members of corruption, expect a lot of brown envelopes to be passed around.
  7. A "committee"? Oh good, another state sponsored trough for "committee" members to exploit and plunder. Thai's love committee's, free food, lodging, and other expenses paid for by the state. Anything meaningful coming out of the committee? Not a chance in Hell!
  8. I bought a small amount at 36.40 a few minutes ago, I feel guilty ????
  9. I still have accounts with BOA, but I also have a house and mailing address in the USA. So for all practical purposes, they believe I live there, technically my brother does. I consider myself a guest here, not a resident of Thailand.
  10. Now the long process of reading up on any issue repatriating assets back to the USA. Seriously thinking about moving the family back home, just glad I didn't sell our home in the USA already, that was the plan before.
  11. The current PM wants more foreign investment, but makes this wild unthought out proclamation that would stifle that foreign investment, it boggles the mind....unless he is just another village idiot.
  12. Why would you put all your eggs in one basket? Why would you not have multiple accounts, and just switch funds between them when something like this happens?
  13. If they want to tax us, they should remove all the fund requirements for staying here also. Why should we keep 400,000-800,000 in a Thai bank making nothing for interest? If they can indeed see worldwide income, then that income abroad should count, not just incoming or banked amounts.
  14. They are never going to get Clarity, nor Stability in Thailand. In fact, exactly the opposite.
  15. Clarity isn't something Thailand is known for, in fact it's exactly the opposite. Confusion and declarations without clarity are the name of the game, investors should expect nothing but ambiguity.
  16. So I was right, the article in the Bangkok Post explains it. This was indeed tit-for-tat! General Torsak Sukvimol, who is the new PM's most likely pick and also the friend of the cop who committed suicide after Big Jokes investigation of the Kamnan Nok case, is the one behind Big Jokes house being raided. Talk about a circus, the RTP is like a mafia organization, the whole group should be shutdown and investigated. It's time to disband the RTP and start over, there is no way this country can move forward until that happens.
  17. One day, Thailand, specifically the Immigration police, will learn about computers. Welcome to the 3rd World!
  18. Someone stepped on the wrong toes, tit-for-tat! LOL
  19. Same here, just not worth it, easy ride from my house and usually pretty quick in-and-out.
  20. You could have the wife talk to them about bringing the Signed Forms, copies of Blue Books, and copies of ID's. Then see if they would do that verification at the home visit, worth at least asking them.
  21. As far as marriage (circa summer 2014) at Nonthaburi, we did the ceremony here in Thailand, but actually did our official Marriage in the USA 3 months later. So I had a US Marriage certificate that I brought here from my local USA town clerks office, I then had that translated and officially approved (Stamp/Signature) at the MFA (Ministry of Foreign Affairs). My wife then went to her Amphur to have the KR22 created (not sure of all the paperwork she brought for that - she did it without me), and officially changed her surname also. One more step was that I had to go to the US Embassy and write an affidavit declaring that we were married in the US, which also had to be approved (Stamp/Signature) at the MFA. Every year we just use copies of these documents, and have never been asked to update the KR22. Marriage Proof (My situation): KR22 US Marriage Certificate US Marriage Certificate Translated - (MFA stamped) US Embassy Affidavit of Marriage - (MFA Stamped) C5?- Wifes surname change The Witness part, we had two neighbors issue the written and signed paperwork. They did not come with us, but they were available for the Nonthaburi IO when they came to inspect our living arrangement (First Extension only), so they verified the witnesses at that point. Keep in mind, this may have all changed now, because Immigration could ask for more nowadays, who knows. I also went the extra step just in case they ever needed more definitive verification of marriage, I did the whole Apostle route, which is time consuming and laborious, so I wouldn't recommended it unless required (though it is definitive proof - good backup).
  22. Yup, my mistake ???? I assume they translate it themselves.....when entering English, Google gets the reverse translation right at least.
